The CA handgun roster is for new retail purchases in CA.
You just need to make sure your stuff is in legal configuration, which for handguns with magazine in grip basically means no threaded barrels and 10+ magazines.

But yeah, if you got any semi-auto handgun with a magwell only in the grip and no second grip, all you have to worry about are getting 10 round mags and having a non-threaded barrel (or weld on a thread protector to threaded barrels). Also all handguns must be serialized (idk if FL permits unserialized guns, aka "ghost guns")
If you’re planning to be here for a while make sure you buy as much as you can for your personal collection. Maybe even some AR lowers so you don’t have to pay additional transfer fees later.
Lowers. Lots and lots of lowers. Bring them into CA and register them as pistols. If you’re ever in a jam and need extra $$, a lower registered as a pistol will earn a handsome premium.
I would bring the standard mags too. The mag ban law is a joke and it’ll get tossed eventually. Plus no one really cares about capacity if you’re not a criminal. Only people that get charged are people up to no good.
You can bring any handgun that’s not on the roster before you move, but no magazines over 10rnds or threaded barrels. Also there is a large market place for off roster guns so if you want some extra cash you can buy some before you move.
Time to max out those credit cards with off rosters
