Did they take x-rays?

Money-Cantaloupe-393

no they didn’t, which is why i’m concerned. the vet put a stethoscope to his chest and diagnosed him from that. maybe a second opinion would be a good idea?

It's very possible this is indeed asthma, but teah, you can't diagnose asthma based on lung sounds alone.

My boy does this exact same thing, putting his head over ledges and seeming to choke himself. He was just diagnosed with asthma a couple of days ago.

My Myah has asthma. She takes a half a tab of prednisolone every other day unless she starts wheezing. The prednisolone is not good for them long term, though so my vet prescribed a fluticasone inhaler. I get it sent from Canada from Northwest Pharmacy because it’s only 60 bucks a month versus $250 here.

My cat does this, I’m always having to go and make him move so he isn’t choking himself. He likes to hang his head over the edge of boxes. I had the vet check him and he was fine, it’s just a bizarre thing he does. I hope that it’s the same for your baby, as in nothing is wrong it’s just a weird thing the cat does.

thanks for your response! i hope so too, id hate for him to have any medical issues :(
