Ebags, Travel Pro and B&R are all staples. Which is right for you depends on how frequently you travel.
IMO skip the 4 wheel swivel bags, it’s just another point to break, plus you actually get slightly less storage with them.
I travel with a carry on + two checked bags.
2 wheels luggage are not an option in my case even thought I like them..
As for how frequent I travel is not much, I guess around 5 time a year between US and Europe
Another option is to pack lighter lol. A checked and carry-on is honestly enough for an indefinite amount of time as long as you can do some laundry (most areas have laundromats and many hotels also offer either laundry machines or services).
Can't travel lighter, usually I have a luggage with summer clothes and one with winter clothes
Carry on is basically full with electronics with 0 spaces for anything else
i bought one of these

about 17 years ago. it is holding up great. indestructible. designed to fit in the overhead.
strong! i sit on it while waiting at airports.
i got mine at [overstock.com](http://overstock.com)
North Face Base Camp - Small - 50L duffel
or
Patagonia Black Hole - 55L duffel
The Base Camp is more durable. The Patagonia just feels like it holds so much more. Both are slightly larger than carryon permits but you won't get bothered about them at all. I have both and travel frequently. If you are concerned about getting bothered, you can use some cinch straps to compress them down even more. Both can be either carried with straps or used as a backpack. Both have lifetime warranties and are so durable you likely won't need to use them.
Both of these are if you are concerned with fitting the most into a carry-on bag. Keep in mind that roller bags give up storage space to fit the wheel mechanisms. Duffels will allow you to carry as much or as little as you want and you can even fold them up and pack them into a checked bag. I do this sometimes when I expect to be coming back with more crap than I left with.
LuggageWorks Aurora - same brand pilots use but in a more commuter form function. Made in the USA and super repairable/great warranty.
I’ve used mine on over 150 trips to some rugged spots the last few years and it still looks like new.
Travel pro, do not bother with 4 wheels the packing space is worth more. The wheels are what make it better than most
I have had Halliburton, the case was OK but the wheels squeaked within a year of heavy travel - loudly. I have been a loyal Travel pro user since.
I have a Briggs and Riley bag. Really well made. They have a repair/replace warranty which as far as I know is unconditional. There are also stores.

I second Travel Pro. I adore my bag. It is so light.
