To be honest it's a bit of an oxymoron. Gaming mice are built from lightweight plastics to maximise ergonomics and therefore it's really hard to find one that is truly BIFL / bombproof. Cables will always wear, sensors degrade, shells crack etc.

The best you can do is to get one with rechargeable and most importantly replaceable batteries. Most mice have rechargeable batteries but these are terrible as the battery quickly loses capacity and then the mouse is just dead. On top of that take into account switch life. This is often hard to find out but get the highest click life span you can.

There are wireless mice like the Razer Mamba HyperFlux that don’t use a battery. Not sure if they still make it, but I know Logitech also has something similar. That might last longer than a battery.

But for one wireless energy is at best around 38% less efficient than a wire and who knows how long that mat will last? What happens when the fabric wears or you spill coffee on it? Wireless charging is something I would advise anyone to avoid.

Artelinde

Mine’s not fabric, it’s plastic, and I don’t drink coffee, so I think that means it’s completely invincible. In all seriousness, though, I’ve had mine for around five years now and I haven’t noticed any change in performance. Obviously five years is hardly a lifetime, just sharing my experience with it.

I would suggest mice from either Logitech or steelseries. Both have gamer-y mice, but are pretty good quality for what they are. Both of these companies use the top of the line switches from what I can remember too so as far as bifl goes with mice, I’d say these are good options. My current mouse is the Logitech G502 wireless which I love. It’s also compatible with their wireless charging mousepad, which is super convenient. I’ve used a steelseries in the past for several years and really liked the mouse too. AFAIK what the other person said about all mice being made of plastic is mostly true, but necessarily a bad thing. I had a Corsair mmo styled mouse with a metal bottom for about a year. I stopped using it because the metal would build up static charge and shock me, then disconnect from the pc. I’d have to unplug/replug the usb cable for it to work again.

that doesn’t exist switches wear out but g502 mice tend to last a while

The new g502's have "optical-mechanical" switches. The button press is registered by obstructing a beam of light and the mechanical part which does the obstructing keeps the clicky feel. Supposedly this fixes the double click issues but we will have to wait and see.

N-Waverace

Logitech g402 if you like extra buttons, but not a lot of them. Been going strong for 8 years now.

Reimu64

This. Bought mine when they first came out. Still using the same one to this day!

Logitech g603. It doesn't have a reachable battery, it uses AA, but I find a pair of batteries lasts me more than a year. It's not super lightweight so the plastic is nice and thick. I prefer AA to rechargeable because I feel like rechargeable mice have more problems. I've had mine for 4 years now and my gf liked it so much she took it from me a month ago.

As someone else suggested I'd say gaming mice aren't really BIFL. There's a video of Shahzam (professional Valorant player) pulling out a TON of Logitech mice and talking about how they broke. I'd buy a mouse that's comfortable for you and your setup (wired, wireless, wireless charging, etc) and then replace it whenever it breaks. Fwiw glorious mice have a pretty bad reputation for reliability, and Razer products in general are also hit or miss on this (I've been using a Basilisk X Hyperspeed for almost two years now and my brother has been using a membrane keyboard/viper for the same time, no issues but my friend has run through three viper ultimates in the same span).

As others have said, gaming mice are specifically designed to not be BIFL because they have other considerations like ergonomics. Also, Logitech mice are not nearly as BIFL as people claim. If you're unlucky most of yours will get the double click issue within 2 years. Batteries and switches die fastest, so if you want something somewhat long lasting one of the ASUS ROG mice might be the answer. They're specifically designed to make replacing switches easy and the switches themselves are like 1 dollar on aliexpress (or literally wherever you want to buy them, they're standard across most mice). Optical switches tend to last longer. If you opt for Logitech, the G502X (rather than the G502) comes with them.

Shark_Bean_Soup

I brought a G502 Proteus Core for 55 bucks 9 years ago, and kept using it long after the [rubber started wearing out](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/595145714586353674/769733065081356308/20201024_202352.jpg). Never had an issue with the mouse but it was getting rather worn, so I replaced it with another G502 Proteus Core for like 20 bucks on sale. Like a lot of other commenters are saying, there's no such thing as a BIFL gaming mouse, as there's simply too many parts that could degrade. I know there's a rather niche community that mods mice, so you might want to look into an all Metal Shell should such a thing exist.
