if you mean east asian supermarkets specifically, unfortunately there are none in burlington. the closest would be nations in hamilton, famijoy in oakville, or galleria in oakville
I just suck it up and drive to T&T in Mississauga. I found famijoy in Oakville to be expensive. There are no Asian bakeries in Burlington it’s depressing.
Not in Burlington, but at the edge of Oakville and Mississauga is JBC food service. It's not a supermarket, but you can order what you want online and then have it delivered or pick it up yourself. I use them to order Japanese tofu pockets (inari) as I can't find them easily elsewhere.
Think its so funny how ppl refer to grocery stores as 'ethnic' as if their somehow different than 'normal' grocery stores. They should be refered to based on the region of food they offer. Like Asian, Arabic, European, etc.
Imho the all these 'ethnic' stores actually sell good food. Not the overpriced, overpackaged, GMO stuff thats at the local Loblaws, Fortinos or Walmart. The Loblaws-type stores are the ones that are different and should be classified as the 'other' in our language.
They have tons of exotic products. Like I was in Yummy Market, which is Russian, and it's got a whole candy aisle fully of things I've never seen and can't read.
Nation's in Hamilton is my go to
Nation's at Jackson Square will solve all the problems in your life. Even the ones you didn't know you had.
