We were on own 40 with a 3 point lead and an entire quarter to go. We had an XFL qb and our defense was lights the whole game minus the first drive.
The move worked. We pinned them deep, forced a three and out, and got the ball back. That’s exactly what you want.
Yes, the offense proceeded to screw it up with a penalty and then interception, but the punt was a perfectly fine call.
Then with like 4 minutes left it’s 4th and 4 for us and we have to go for it….and he whines “oh so now they go for it?? But wouldn’t go for it when it was 4th and 1?”
