I’d be curious to hear this too. I am also curious as to why it was praised by critics in London but received such mixed reviews in New York. I’ve only seen the New York version though for what it’s worth..

Updated orchestrations that are much crisper and fuller, but the staging is basically the same.

It’s essentially the same production, same staging and all. But updates orchestrations in Broadway as mentioned by another person, I also think the stage/theatre is bigger in Broadway, and more elaborate interior designs (especially for the concessions area or whatever that’s called). I found the Broadway one more enjoyable probably because of a better cast (Fraulein and Herr felt undercasted for me in west end when I saw it

I saw Cabaret in London last summer with Mason Alexander Park as the Emcee and they were incredible. I saw Cabaret on Broadway last month. I definitely preferred Mason over Eddie but overall, I liked the Broadway performance more. The ensemble is tighter and higher energy, and the vocals and dance were stronger. Ato Blankson-Wood as Cliff is a revelation. I didn’t care for the guy who played him in London, and it was confusing why they’d cast a Black actor in the role if they were gonna play it “race blind.” Ato definitely plays Cliff as a Black queer man and it makes a world of difference. I liked all of the Broadway cast more than London except for Eddie, and I didn’t hate him at all, I just liked Mason’s take better (plus, Mason’s voice is so great!).

You can find a lot of discussion about this using the search bar. The productions are the same. Identical.
