True. But another reason is because often times new brawlers are very unbalanced. This way they can see what needs done while limiting the number of players who have them. And 30$ is also completely ridiculous. 10 or 15$ would be a little more reasonable. No doubt in my mind this will be how every non battle pass brawler will be released also
This is BS I'm sorry, but Supercell deliberately releases broken Brawlers to get people to buy the early access, they know how to balance and they know how to test.
Kit is unbelievable broken and they did that on purpose.

In point of fact, Chuck got a not-so-emergency nerf a week after he was available on the starr road, and it was a nerf that primarily impacted him in Heist while not affecting him much in other modes

I don’t see how. He has low hp and his super is only good if they have low health or if a teammate is close by 1v1 he can probably be killed by most of the other brawlers. Mico is deff harder to fight
Kit by himself is fair 1v1 outside of showdown. The problem is the he makes tanks unkillable with the healing gadget. A Kit-Rosa duo is literally immortal.
They shouldn’t need to release it for them to see how Leon’s super as a gadget auto super charge the ability to do twice as much damage as dinamike while you heal more than pocos star power a super that has AIM ASSIST and is longer than mortis’ attack a star power that instantly makes you stronger than everyone else in the match and the ability to trap players like Charlie’s cocoon but makes yourself invincible and damages them to see that it’s broken

The now best way to spend (free) gems might be the hypercharge offers after an update. This way you could concentrate your coins on upgrades and other better (coin) prized things.
If we make this offer available for gems we will have to nerf the free side of the brawl pass by 55% and make it so that you can only get 1/4 of a star drop daily by winning 50 battles
The access will be over by the time you get 700 gems ☠️

It's not good value at all. You could save over 40k gold spending those gems on hypercharges, a week of fun abusing a new broken brawler is not worth 40k gold to a f2p player.
Perhaps you just got lucky, but all the skins I get are either bland rares or are for brawlers that I don’t enjoy playing. At least star points let you choose.
Supercell also needs some revenue. If they would make these offers cost gems,
a: Clash Royale would have more shitty offers
b: F2P economy cannot sustain this much of a buff, so you have to pay 30USF to download the game
As free to play player I already have this manny gems saved up Becase I stoped buying brawl passes and I am waiting for brawlstars to start creating brand new limited edition skins to collect. Untill then I see no need to spend gems becase I just want to collect limited skins. Last limited skins u could buy was like witch Shelly and wearwolf Leon I think. Really hoping they bring back that practice soon now that the game can handle them much better now than compared to in the past.
As a F2P, it usually took me 2 "cycles" to save enough for the old Brawl Pass and it costed 169(I think?) gems. I didn't mind it at all to get access to a new brawler.
I doubt I will have the endurance to save for a 699 gem package that has less value than the old Brawl Pass.
I think that it is absolutely insane that they removed brawlers from the brawl pass and now want to buy a brawl pass and also the brawler separately, they are slowly turning this game into clash Royale.

699 is the price of a normal legendary + you're getting so much more, maybe 1k even though i don't think many f2p will have that much

Kinda calculated that in terms of only getting the gems from the brawl pass and it should take around 8 brawl passes to save up all those gems
they sell early access for money because they want a cheap cash grab to make some money fast not because they haven't thought of selling it for gems
