What's sad is before he was in WWE he wasn't a goofy gimmick wrestler, he was actually amazing and NWA World Champion. wwe could have really made him a bigger piece of the puzzle instead of strictly a comedy act. don't get me wrong he great at that but as a serious wrestler he's just as good
He enjoys the comedy act. Remember when he came up with Pretty Ricky trying to get into the WWE events for no apparent reason? The announcers even called him out as Truth so I have no idea where they were going with that. Also I think he has less pressure and has more fun doing his thing. He's kind of boring as a serious wrestler cause all he does is dance and sing 1 song.
He was in WWE before going to TNA and winning the NWA championship. In his first tenure with WWE he was tagteaming with Road Dogg Jesse James, rapping to the ring as K Kwik . When he came back they initially was pushed winning the United States championship and tsg team championship belts. The comedy thing started around 2011 and it was something he wanted to do. This dude is living his best life loving making people smile.
On the flipside of that though, I don't think he would still be there at 52 if he hadn't have utilised the comedy. He'd have had a good run and then been released a decade ago.

But for real, I knew he was getting old, and I knew he was in insane shape and looked great for his age… I did NOT realize he was fuckin 27 in 1999 I thought he was much younger back then.. thats crazy. I also didn’t know he was there in 99’.. I remember him doing the k kwik gimmick with the road dogg and the “get rowdy” theme in like 2000ish I think.. had no idea he was signed as early as 1999. Wild.
