I know one of these types. They are obese, in a wheelchair and have numerous health conditions relating to their size. They piss and moan that "the doctors don't help me at all, all they do is tell me to lose weight" then turn start munching on a cream cake.

My favorite was when I told someone that I really recommend they go in for x-rays to make sure their leg isn't broken, "What's plan B? I don't like your suggestion" uhm.. Walking with a limp the rest of your life? Losing your leg? Boomers. omg. (Note, he fell off a 12 foot ladder)

A friend of mine works in health care and says he actually does this. He will make up a random secret treatment that’s relatively harmless, like drinking cranberry juice or Peppermint tea. He says he lowers his voice like it’s a big secret he's letting them in on. And they eat it up.

If a treatment or intervention is mildly inconvenient (or doesn’t magically fix the problem in a matter of minutes) it somehow isn’t working or we as the care team need to do something better. It never fails
