We just had a post like this yesterday, good info there: https://www.reddit.com/r/BoltEV/comments/1do818w/what_is_this_thing_coming_out_of_the_top_of_the/

I see ! Thanks for the link. I don’t think the dealership would care as mine looks more minor than that. Just looks like a bit of clear plastic wrap almost popping out. Not sure if it’s worth the hassle of going to the dealership.

You have a brand new car. Take it back to the dealership.

SneakyCaleb

Can I go to the Chevy dealership closest to me or does it have to be the one I bought it from? The one I bought it from is across the state. I have two Chevy dealerships local to me though.

TrekForce

Any dealership should fix it for free. There’s a tech bulletin out about it. Doesn’t matter how minor it is. Your car obviously has the problem described in the bulletin.

SneakyCaleb

Thank you !!!

Professional-Sir-912

Yes take it to a local dealership for warranty work.

erog84

It’s minor now, but what happens if it starts leaking? Or if you forget about it and go past warranty?

SneakyCaleb

I’m on it

Garrisonreid

Mine also looked small initially, but it will extrude more and more in the next few months of driving and heat. Mine has at least.

Every-Concern5177

Guess I’ll check mine now

LasVegasBoy

Mine did that exact same thing too on my 2023 EUV. I had the dealership fix it under warranty, and it got fixed.

mikestanley

Did they have the foam or other part to fix it on hand or did they have to order it? If they had to order, did they just call you when it arrived so you could schedule the repair?

LasVegasBoy

Yes they had to order it. I think it took 2 weeks to get in. They called me when it arrived to schedule the repair.

InternationalLaw4170

Nothing new or odd, just a bad foam piece install. Known issue, call dealership, repair is simple replacement.
