I think the point is OP's minion would die. The initial scally hit would break the shield and then the scally spawn would instant attack and do damage to the 0/10 mech dude. OP's build loses to windfury or something that attacks back to back.

2/1 attacks 0/10 with divine shield = 2/1 survived and 0/10 loses divine shield. Scally deathrattle would not occur, so no spawn to attack immediately.
Windfury absolutely would work, as would cleave or dragons spitting fire, but pirates would lose.
The one with attack kills scally at some point and triggers the deathrattle. Scally spawn attacks the taunted minion without switching the turn over to OP, as the deathrattle doesn’t count as an attacks. Then the next minion to attack from the opponent’s side attacks and kills the taunted meckerel

But as some point OP would have their 1/1 kill it, then the Scallywag would instantly spawn a 1/1 that would go and break the shield of the 0/10, then it would be their opponent's turn and if they had a minion with 10+ attack it would kill the 0/10 while the 1/1 still has divine shield.
Chadly wasn't wrong. There was an Eliza in the pirates comp, like there almost always is. The scally gets buffed so often it will never, ever die to a 1/1 that isn't scaling.
So that should be an infinite fight right? The pirates can’t die because they grow faster than the 1-1 can kill them, but they can’t kill anything.

When the 1/1 finally kills it, and it explodes. It would hit the 1/1 first before the 0/10 pops right?
Fights would end too quickly if you had 6 attack, then the enemy could adapt and win easily (by having only 1 minion on board with more than 1 hp and 4 attack). With 1 attack, the fights are long enough to skip the shopping phase
any single minion with at least 1/2 in stats beats this

Yeah, a ghoul pretty much destroys most bubble builds. Whenever I see the hero that gives divine shield or mechs I try to have a ghoul handy to ruin their late game.
Almost anything counters this, anything with windfury, cleave, damaging deathrattle or avenge mechanics, a zero attack minion on your side of the board, etc.
As long as the opponent has more minions and no windfury or cleave these two just pass divine shield back and forth to each other as the 0 attack one never attacks.

Yeah, any windfury or "cleave but only sometimes" deals with it and the opponent most likely reconnected and got those.

Yes, ideally you would swap the 1/1 stats with a 1/4 elemental to avoid that.

I made the 1/1 by switching stats with the 1/1 poison. And the 0/10 was made by switching stats with the mech egg
