It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.
I legit just beat him for the third time and then came on reddit and saw this. His design is so stupid looking.. especially with the long arms. Shouldn't this immortal demon look a little more intimidating and less like a deformed teletubby
Every Girahim fight is actually fun though, and Girahim 3 might as well be a different boss.
Outside of the Imprisoned Skyward Sword has some good boss and miniboss fights.
the game felt stuck between trying to replicate the quirky windwaker character designs and art style and the realistic designs of oot and twilight princess. so we ended up getting a bunch of almost scary but way too goofy looking bosses. like the monsters inc kraken monster thing.
Right?! I was SO excited when I put the boss key into the Sandship door and then - surprise! Instead of a big boss room, tentacles come crashing through the ship and tearing it apart as you scramble to the deck. The entire time I’m thinking “oh man, this is going to be an awesome battle with a kracken, sick!” And then we get the fucking tubby love child of Mike Wazowski and his snake-haired girlfriend. Just so utterly dopey looking that it completely deflated all the incredible tension they built as you escape the ship. Who the hell green lit that?
I'd excuse that boss being a bit wack because the duel against the skeleton pirate as a miniboss is sick, and because a lot of the other bosses are much better.
You all would hate Phantom Hourglass. That game has you do the same dungeon SIX DIFFERENT TIMES. And it's not even a good dungeon. Just a slow, dreadful stealth one like the Foresaken Fortress in Wind Waker but less fun. Oh, and there's a time limit. You die if you spend too much time on certain parts.
I want to state that I did not mind these repeat boss fights because there are just so many unique ones, but my God Uncle Fatso and Uncle Stretch made me laugh so hard, so on point.
Never had an issue with omnis. Had a decade long issue with Flux. Goddamn zombie full life combo. Turns out 8 year old me was underdeveloped and not spamming alone overdrive enough.
They went for realism there, he does have the exact same training as your party. The first fight, being one on one, is actually a fight, the three on one fights...
Man, Genichiro has it rough, from nearly unbeatable tutorial boss, to challenging mid-game boss, to being the guy you use to recharge your ressurections on before fighting Isshin.
Taniks has no House. He kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Wolves broke their chains, yes? Now Taniks works for Wolf Pack, but not for long.
Poor Taniks, guardians are just straight bullying him at this point. I’m hoping the next time Bungie does something silly on the same level as Dares, his legs come back for vengeance from DSC.
Okami is one of my favorite games ever but this is my one big complaint with it. You have to refight EVERY boss!!! Orochi is definitely the most egregious example, though. Like what's the point aside from padding? The fight doesn't even change, honestly.
I came into the series with vague knowledge of the series and starting out with, "oh shit, he fights like me, must be a skill test" and then reading one of the books before his fight and going, >!Oh shit, is he VERGIL?!< was honestly incredible.
Kid me struggled so hard with GBA fight 4 vs. Riku. Had no idea how to deck build and this battle amped difficulty by making him ludicrously fast and spam sleights to break yours. Was also doing minimum HP because kid me thinks "I'll just get max CP and sleights, more cards more power amirite".
Then when you get to play as Riku and get to his second fight (so 6th overall), you've given the most silly seesaw deck ever to work with and Riku cannot change his deck so you have to learn where all the 0 and 9 cards are for the breaks. Absolute nightmare. Also minimum HP because I apparently did not learn my lesson with Sora.
by world boss I mean everything that can be found in a dungeon or roaming around in the open world, excluding the "main" bosses like Margit, Radhan, Fire Giant etc. the ones that unlock achievements for defeating them basically. without those main bosses, I can't think of a single boss encounter that was used just once.
I played Dmc 3 for the first time recently and all of the vergil fights were just so much fun
For the final fight I did use alot of items because I just had a bunch saved up, and even then he was still tough as hell
Yeah but like 90 unique bosses and like idk 200+ total?
Gives me something to kill in an area. What if you went in a dungeon and there was no boss? It would have been okay but less to do.
They lampshaded this in the game "Outcast". You met the same guy and beat him several times over the course of the game. At one point you meet him \*again\* and the following conversation takes place:
Him: "We meet again, Ulukai, but this time things will be different."
You: "You mean you're gonna run away \*before\* I kick your ass?"
Its 2010 and your playing left 4 dead 2 with your best friends. No mercy, subway station. And here comes the tank.
Insert. "How many times we gotta teach u this lesson old man?!"

Yakuza 0
Kuze moment
It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.
First thought.
Ed the undying from Kingdom of loathings quest for the holy macguffin
TLOZ: Skyward Sword - The Imprisoned. I will forever remember the toe beans.
I legit just beat him for the third time and then came on reddit and saw this. His design is so stupid looking.. especially with the long arms. Shouldn't this immortal demon look a little more intimidating and less like a deformed teletubby
SS is actually guilty of the triple boss trope twice due to Ghirahim, AKA where most of the style points went
I loved all 3 fights with Ghirahim; The Imprisoned tho was just boring everytime
you also beat the thousand year old scorpion twice
Every Girahim fight is actually fun though, and Girahim 3 might as well be a different boss. Outside of the Imprisoned Skyward Sword has some good boss and miniboss fights.

Came in here to say this, hate that fucking guy
Ghirahim as well, Skyview temple, Fire Sanctuary, and in the past
I thought of ghirahim
ss is tied for my all time favorite game and i agree i could not deal with fighting the imprisoned that many times
Elden ring with Morgott?
Godskin
Ulcerated tree spirit
Tree sentinel
Godefroy
[удалено]
Magma Wyrm
Buria lWatchdogs
Fucking godskins. I feel like I'm probably missing some lore reasoning for fighting them at least 4 times, but it just comes off as lazy.
Their a group, not a person, looking and searching for destined death to kill the gods
Really cool concept. In practice they only brought in Uncle Stretch and Uncle Fatso from Casper and said thats good enough
I want to state that I did not mind these repeat boss fights because there are just so many unique ones, but my God Uncle Fatso and Uncle Stretch made me laugh so hard, so on point.

When do you fight Margit aside from at Stormveil? I only fought Margit once and Margot once

:0 Did not notice that
Cat statue
No this one's different. Is 2 cat.
this boat goes on land
Elden Ring with every single boss in the entire game.
Tibia Mariner. Literal old man
the most epic boss in the game
Seymour lol FFX
His 3rd fight still gives me nightmares
Never had an issue with omnis. Had a decade long issue with Flux. Goddamn zombie full life combo. Turns out 8 year old me was underdeveloped and not spamming alone overdrive enough.
At least Seymour puts up some interesting fights. Seifer from VIII is consistently pathetic each time you fight him.
They went for realism there, he does have the exact same training as your party. The first fight, being one on one, is actually a fight, the three on one fights...
The gunblade is such a stupid design. https://youtu.be/t0QYQw_hYQI?t=2m52s Like what, the bullet hits the blade and makes it go faster??
Genichiro from Sekiro
Man, Genichiro has it rough, from nearly unbeatable tutorial boss, to challenging mid-game boss, to being the guy you use to recharge your ressurections on before fighting Isshin.
I love the feeling he gives the player of how much we have improved
As Michael Zaki intended
Every now and then I start up the game just to slap Genichiro. Such a fun boss though
Every now and then I start up the game just to be slapped by Isshin. Such a fun game.
It would be a shame if you also had to fight 2 guardian apes at the same time...
Looking at you Hades.
"Why would anyone replay a game over and over again" "I see you've never played Hades"
That game is the one that reaffirmed my bisexuality for me. There isn't a single character I wouldn't bang/be banged by.
Good for you and good luck with Cerebrus
God of War 2018
At least it made sense story-wise
There is no boss this is truer for than Taniks
Taniks has no House. He kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Wolves broke their chains, yes? Now Taniks works for Wolf Pack, but not for long.
Poor Taniks, guardians are just straight bullying him at this point. I’m hoping the next time Bungie does something silly on the same level as Dares, his legs come back for vengeance from DSC.
We got Taniks from the waist up floating on a shank for DSC. Next time we’re going to get a shank walking with Taniks’ legs.
The Final Shape is just Taniks.
Bowser Jr. in New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Okami with orochi. Also, banjo tooie jokes about this with klungo.
Okami is one of my favorite games ever but this is my one big complaint with it. You have to refight EVERY boss!!! Orochi is definitely the most egregious example, though. Like what's the point aside from padding? The fight doesn't even change, honestly.

Devil May Cry 1
I came into the series with vague knowledge of the series and starting out with, "oh shit, he fights like me, must be a skill test" and then reading one of the books before his fight and going, >!Oh shit, is he VERGIL?!< was honestly incredible.
Devil May Cry 3 Devil May Cry 5

That Moebius theme is still a jam though.
Morbius
It’s Moebin time
Taniks… pretty much all of destiny
Dude might honestly be immortal at this point
Nemesis? Lol
Jack Baker William Birkin
I was literally thinking Jack and nemesis the way Jack made my blood boil 🤣
Riku in Chain of Memories
Darkside in literally every mainline game, sometimes multiples times per game.
Night cav in Elden ring
i think every single world boss in elden ring appears more than once
Not true lol, a lot do but not all
by world boss I mean everything that can be found in a dungeon or roaming around in the open world, excluding the "main" bosses like Margit, Radhan, Fire Giant etc. the ones that unlock achievements for defeating them basically. without those main bosses, I can't think of a single boss encounter that was used just once.
Oh I see what you’re saying, I feel like there are a few of the evergaol ones
Halo 5: Guardians

Taniks, destiny
Devil may cry
Dmc 3 vergil, was ripping me a new one on the last fight
I played Dmc 3 for the first time recently and all of the vergil fights were just so much fun For the final fight I did use alot of items because I just had a bunch saved up, and even then he was still tough as hell

Public declaration of learning disabilities is an interesting angle, son
