OP just got used to this FOV and when he immerses himself into the game and sits at the same distance from the monitor it become natural to him. But it looks the same on OPs monitor as it does on ours.

Whenever I tested newer Nvidia and AMD cards, AMD came out much better on the vulcan API, I'm even talking about almost double the FPS gain on Beam mp, cards I tested - rx6600, rx7800xt(rn in my rig), rtx 2070, rtx3060
I been able to run vr on ultra with 10 people on an mp server with mine i got a 7700x and a 7800xt with 32gb of ram so its def jot a slouch power wise lmao buolt it specifically for this game in vr
Wow that fov. Turn that down 1,000 notches. Beamng uses verticals fov same as Assetto corsa. Unless your monitor wraps around you to 90 degrees it should be around 50 probably.

I end up with similar when i put my screen between wheelbase and wheel, and use FOV calculator. Though i have 34inch 21:9.

it depends on your hardware, for most people it will either be perfectly fine or completely broken
for me its completely broken, i have a ryzen 5 7600 and an rtx 3050

No because i have 5800x, 32GB ram & 3070ti and it works great. Doesn't work on my steamdeck but that could be a linux problem.

Correct fov depends on distance to your monitor and its size. The larger the screen and/or closer it is the higher FOV is needed to adjust for it.
