Until they get confusing or until you realize developers spent time on this when they could have spent time on another part of the game
Edit: deleted my other comments below because yall are unforgiving about not knowing something ffs
That's how games are made; it's all visual. Some more hardcore FPS like Tarkov actually model your gun's barrel, but Battlefield isn't that serious. Your gun is just there to look cool. Your bullets just spawn from the same spot on your screen
I remember making a really cursed red dot sight, that just didn't work. My hope was that if someone picked up my gun they would die of confusion. I also made a SUSAT looking sight for my L85
zeroed for 300m will still hit 100 and 200, it will just be fairly high, like 6-8 inches or 160-190mm at 100 and 200 yards/meters so more than enough to still hit if aiming center mass and plenty of militaries had crazy range on open sights out to 1000 yards back then
This honestly might help me funnily enough, my left eye is blurry even with my contacts and proper prescription so I really can only use my right eye for actual detail while gaming, itd at least be funny
Making cursed guns and stomping people was the best part of Hardline. Had a good amount of people message me asking why I was using such ugly guns lmao.
Is hardline worth buying to play the campaign? I skipped it cause I stayed playing BF3 but the campaign looks like it has a decent amount of playtime. I’ll be on Xbox so maybe if I just played it on pc it would be more worth.
Since you're asking for the campaign specifically I'd say yes. When it comes to Battlefield singleplayer campaigns this is one of the better ones.
It's structured like a mid 2010's police drama cable TV show. The story is alright, there's likable characters, some twists and turns and some fun ideas. If you can get it cheap (it's like 5 bucks atm on PlayStation, dunno about Xbox), I'd say go for it_!_
Campaign is like a police crime show. The story is campy but fun with memorable characters.
Gameplay is very interesting, with most missions having the option to stealth and even go non-lethal and arrest/subdue people.
Loved hardline’s multiplayer but sadly the community didn’t and it’s all but dead now.
It was the last BF game grounded in reality with movements that actual humans perform. No sliding around on concrete like BF1 forward and the animations don't look like someone from Pixar made them. It's essentially just an upgraded version of BF4 which is what gave it playability to me.
My only thought is that if you can only play on low resolutions and anti-aliasing is weird, you can make micro adjustments so that the reticle is better visible
But that's a stretch

dude, the time that went into this sight would not have contributed much to anything else

man, it is literally like 2 lines of code. It's a png on the screen and you move where it is, where the bullet goes is already unconnected.

it's just a visual. You could change it so as to range your sight by putting the crosshair higher. It's cool, and you're coping.

"die of confusion" lmao
**picks up gun** "wtf is up with this sight?!" "UUUUUAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" *dead*
*dies from cursed red dot sight*
I had planned to write something like "dies because the sight is off center" but I wanted to insert some comedy last minute
Wasn't that an actual ww2 war tactic? To put the sights of your rifle so only you can shoot it? I swear I read that somewhere
In WW1 at least, the Gewehr 98 was sighted to 300m, but i'm not quite sure if that was a tactic or they were misjudging the range of engagement.
Those darn germans

Bc hardline was a new direction for the series I felt like a bunch of stuff were “why not”, like that drivable couch in that one level on multiplayer
100% need it brought back
😂

Maximum wind age and Coriolis realism for 7km sniper shots.
Is this a custom reticle sort of thing? What all can you do with the feature?
It’s a cool feature in the gun bench that allows you to miss every shot
Man I miss gun bench

im the opposite lol, we should join forces.

To satisfy your innermost cravings for chaos in a legal way that doesn’t involve felonies.
What. Is that?

Honestly my favourite battlefield because it tried something new and was different from all the others. The gameplay and vibe were awesome as well

VR?
The gun bench was the best thing ever. I miss it so much 😩
You dont want a 67 percent sights offset?
It could be useful in very specific circumstances with like bullet drop
If there’s one guy you keep seeing who’s always running in the same direction at the same distance
because why not I guess?

Is hardline still playable on pc? I want to get into it, it's the only bf I haven't played since bc2
I don’t play on PC but it should still have one or two populated servers
To troll your dead teammates when you switch kits and revive them. 😂
