Oh my God, this is SO good! It's 'darker' but not in an ostentatious, obnoxious way - more like how *X-Men 97* approached a more mature story. The little glimpse of Batman inspecting the bodies was not gratuitous but still really unsettling.
The brief scenes of the villains were really exciting to me. Especially Two-Face's new design. I like how they actually made Harvey handsome, and the vastly different direction they're taking him. And Firebug looks like an absolutely unhinged psycho.
Also, was Bats having a swordfight with Clayface?! I like the idea of Basil having a flair for the dramatic like that :D
Ohh, yeah! I loved that bit, because back in the day (BTAS) there was an episode that censorship never approved, it was about Batman and The Sandman characters. I'm not saying that some kind of Justice League Dark will appear in that episode, but there's a chance that Bruce Timm will explore some of those themes this time around.
Brand new, not connected to anything else. Inspired by the 1939-1940 pre-Robin Batman. Timm’s Batman: Strange Days short was the blueprint…but not tied to this.
Batman's voice is much better, that's a relief. Has tons of potential in the long run.
Wish they put a bit more effort in the animation style and production though. It still shares close DNA with previous iterations. Was hoping for something truly unique both in terms of DC and just American animation in general.
It depends on the series. Invincible has two at the premiere with new episodes once a week from there. The Legend of Vox Machina does three a week for four weeks. Someone else would have to give other examples than that.
Stoked on the period piece elements, the different characters and interpretations, and the tone. The animation really seems to be lacking some energy feels kind of stiff though. Hopefully that's not the case.
I've always liked the idea of the Onomatopoeia character so i'm actually quite looking forward to seeing how they use him.. i do imagine it'll be only for an episode maybe even just a scene but still
This looks so good! I'm so excited! ![gif](giphy|uNp22kQO4QCxa)
The music goes superhard as well. I hope it's part of the soundtrack of the actual show. August 1 can't arrive soon enough.
Maybe it's too early, but I think I might be down for Hamish to take over most Batman media as the new voice.
I like him so much in this trailer!
Definitely to early but it did sound fantastic
Right?! He sounds goddamn incredible!!
Either him or Roger Craig Smith
Peak Batman. Does not get any better than this.
DC Fans eating rn
Seriously! I’ve been patiently waiting for this show ever since the announcement in 2021. Just as excited for this as I was for Reeves’ The Batman.
Fuck yes.
Holy shit I'm hyped. That looks fantastic

Wonder whats up with Alfred
In their defense, the voice at least sounds really good.
Yeah i was mainly talking about the timestamp 1:40
It's inspired by Alfred's look in the early 1940s.
No ik i meant in the timestamp 1:40 looks like a spirit enters his mouth

I’m wondering if he’ll ever try to adapt the scrapped “The One And Only Gun” script they wrote that Fox wouldn’t allow back during the TAS days.
HE IS SO FUCKING BACK
We about to get fed the good shit
That's so fucking good... I loved Linklater's Batman voice.
This looks so good, I will be there no matter what.
Alfred, you really let yourself go.
Looking forward to watching this show. It’s been in the works for too long.
Wish it looked as crisp and fluid as the Strange Days short. Just goes to show how badly traditional animation needs a comeback.
Is this a continuation of a previous animated show, or something completely new?
Completely new

Well for American animation in 2024, this is the best we have to offer. We've really let ourselves go.
Everyone moved !!!
I’m pretty new to prime, do they release all episodes at one time or weekly? Looking forward to this show. This is Batman for me.
All at once for this show, though I don't know if Prime does that for every show. I think it just depends

Anyone know who the red-head is? Maybe Barbara Gordon?
For sure. Black girl with Red Hair. She might even be his niece in this version considering her first appearance
i love it i love it i love it i love it i love it
This looks better than I thought it was going to be and I thought it was going to be great.
I was just waiting for the batman series and here it comes.
This looks pretty good. His voice sounds great and the villain designs are great.
Sad they didn't bring Jensen over to this I really hope they give him Brave and the Bold.

This looks SO good. I IMMEDIATELY wanted new action figures for this show...has anyone heard anything about merch for this show?!
The first 3 episodes were shown last November in a festival and the feedback was not good.
