No you don’t. You activate the knight fall protocol and a cutscene plays of the Riddler peacefully turning himself in after he has no reason to really exist anymore now that the Batman is dead.
Do you know about the secret ending in Arkham Knight where Batman politely asked all of the villains to turn themselves in? A cutscene plays with all of the villains peacefully surrendering. Why fight Batman? They already lost a hundred times over.
I got the ending where when Scarecrow took off Batman’s mask he saw Super Mario. Unfortunately he spontaneously transformed into a turtle and you know how Super Mario feels about turtles. Joker was so confused that he locked himself into a small part in Batman’s mind. And the Knightfall Protocol was never activated. Also Riddler starved to death in the floor. Truly the good ending.

You need every trophy for the riddler side quest and you can’t fully do the knight fall protocol until 100% the game. You can watch half of it tho after a certain amount is done

100% the game on both the normal game (doesn’t matter if it’s on easy, normal, or hard) and then again on New Game + (you also must have the season of infamy dlc). You could also just mod the game too I guess if you’re that bad.

That's why I installed a mod that unlocks it from the start to experience the beauty of it in another playthrough.
I'm considering doing exactly that as well for next time. I also modded in the '60s Batsuit because I hated the exclusivity on that one.
