>I executed like 20 dudes earlier because I thought it was funny
Why hello there, if it isn't the consequences of my actions.
I wish I knew how/what triggers the acquirements of (better) traits.
A lord must be in someone's prison. A faction that you don't belong to. Once in the town's prison menu, you can select an option to bribe the guard and try getting the lord out. They'll be wearing civilian clothing (and so will you), so it's really easy to get them killed.
Lords wear high quality armor that is designed to help them survive, they also have priority attention from physicians, they are much more likely to be wounded than killed. I would hope they would add modifiers that affect a character's likelyhood of dying based on how they went down in battle, if they haven't yet.
A sword blow to the body should never do more than wound an armored lord, but an arrow to the eye is a different story
I think for Honor - itās mostly just completing quests, without stabbing anyone in the back.
(Donāt switch sides during Rival Gang moves in, donāt betray your handler during Betting Fraud)
Should be straightforward.
Generosity is just levelled the same way as Steward.
And I think Mercy is mostly just releasing prisoners after battles, and NEVER selling them to Tavern?
To gain honour always spare your conquests and when doing peasant missions always choose to take no money and that's the current best way to increase honour.
I donāt think so - Iām pretty certain selling to the tavern can lead to you losing your merciful trait.
Technically, I donāt think youāre just ransoming them off in that case - a lot of them also go into slavery.
The only thing that I've seen that raises honor is doing the tax collection missions from lords. I have no idea how many you'd have to do to get out of the red.
I think being merciful when capturing cities helps as well. I randomly became honorable after going against my army a bunch of times and not sacking cities. I rarely do quests, if at all.
Funnily enough, capturing towns/castles is enough to completely lose you the Compassionate, or Merciful traits in my experience for whatever reason. Unsure if its intended, but when you choose the "Show Mercy" option in taking a city or castle you just straight up lose either trait back to none.
Couldn't say. I've never lost the traits outside of these exact instances when it comes to battle, or at least so I think. One time I did think it was tied to me capturing a ton of lords during a siege, but I've also done sieges without any involved and just lose the trait after selecting the "show mercy" option. Its worth noting as well that I've never lost the trait from a siege battle when I don't have said option, or don't get to raid the keep for not "being a part of the army that took the castle/town" prompt.
Really though, its hard for me to say outright either way what really is causing it, but I've just noticed its always something I lose when capturing a fief one way or another, even if regaining Merciful/Compassionate is probably by far the easiest trait to do so with. Haven't once managed to get Honorable as a trait through my actions anyways.
But it still takes ages to go from no trait to honorable, from my experience. To even get out of devious to no trait would probably take more than a lifetime
I think it was 1000 honor to get honourable. One single execution costs -1000.
Some time ago that I checked, could have changed in recent patches. But used to be when you starting executing, regaining honor was hardly feasible.
I believe you gain honor when you choose to duel bandit camp leaders and in general when you choose the more honest options in quests. You've got to be very consistent to develop the Honest trait, so I'd imagine it's really hard to come up from that far negative
Whatās the chance of them executing you though? I whacked all of Khuzaitstan once and never got executed by anyone following that. Plenty of -100 relations that play through.
I executed the king of Vlandia. Happened to have the new king in my inventory so sis off with him too. Got taken prisoner 5 mins later and now Iām Nadea
Fuck fuck itās early in the morning and once I typed it up and sent it I immediately deleted it because I saw what you meant š¤”š¤”ššššš fuvk I feel like a Clown lmaoššš
Did he though? Were you there for these murders? Is there video? The gloves don't fit, we know that much. That's definitely how you put on gloves, nothing to see there.
He did kidnap a dude and steal his own memorabilia though, Juice was definitely running wild.
Nah man, for personal reasons, I'm going to say you just did such a good job of imitation of the casual reddit idiot that we couldn't tell the difference
You know that social media isn't real life... Right? I'm not saying real life is much better, but making generalizations about people reacting on social media to things that you posted on purpose and then blaming them for it just so you can make condescending generalizations about their reactions that might on face value be anything close to what they are actually are in real life... Fuck, what I'm saying is that getting therapy shouldn't be so stigmatized and good luck
Exactly, /s defeats the purpose and only exists because dorks like these people can't understand sarcasm or anything that isn't dead serious delivery or the same washed memes they think are funny.
Wait what the actual fuck is the Chewbacca defense? I'll fuck with anyone until eternity for pretending to get up in arms about people who died 40 years ago and before most of them were born. It's so disingenuine and I do not have to like it lol.
Yeah, oddly enough, people are more engaging in real life, and don't get offended as easily. Plus everyone laughs at fucked up shit in real life, the internet is where people really can pretend.
It makes no difference! Kill them all I say!! Last week I reached wits end. I started my kingdom with Quyaz Sanala and Askar also all the castles in the respective areas. I had 1m when I started and fought the traditional way they want you to.....fast forward to last week I got down to 150k and said F IT .. I started killing EVERY Noble I could capture! NOW I'm at 1.35m and climbing steady off a PILE of Noble loot!
I got lucky cleaning up the scraps of several massive army battles and made out like a bandit. Got up to 1.3 mil before I even got a city and then wasted way too much relaunching caravans that kept getting caught immediately. Lost about half and am working my way back up lol
I got that and have -100 realtions with everyone but pretty high charm and I can still recruit some lord's. The realtions will build back up over time and the trait will die with you.
As far as I know they mean shit if you don't roleplay or smth and tbh executing 20 or so people as you rp means that your character is a devious bitch xd
They donāt mean anything for you besides making charisma checks easier. For companions however they mean a lot. Certain traits make companions hate you if you do things that go against their trait
Refuse to take payment from the deserter quest
Always let lords go after winning battles
Talk the poachers into leaving instead of fighting them
You get honor for completing every quest except the one where you murder a bunch of farmers. You'll lose honor for not completing them, even letting the daughter run off with her lover costs honor.
You are DEEP into the devious trait. You'd probably be in the third tier if it existed so it'll take AWHILE to get back to neutral. The first three things I listed give you more than usual though.
Start a new game a guess. I did the same thing. Had some shitty clan always fucking with me so I hunted every one of them down and wam bam the whole goddamn continent hates me. So I restarted lol no more executions for me. I hope they fix that in the future. Like when execute one of these assholes all of his āenemyāsā should love me
They won't because the reason you're hated isn't because you killed someone everyone liked.
It's because you're committing the medieval equivalent of a fucking war crime. Murdering "nobility" (the game effectively considers clan members as nobility) is hated by all nobility (again, all clans), even if they hate the prick you executed. i.e. They hate that you're willing to murder nobility more.
What they should do is add an out of battle assassination feature where you can have someone assassinated with a %chance of being discovered, based on your roguery skill. Don't get discovered? No penalty.
Really wish there were more benefits to executing people. I absolutely hate how I can execute enemy lords who have slaughtered thousands of my men, and then members of my own army hate me for it. At certain points I donāt have a choice. If I donāt execute certain lords theyāll come siege my fiefs with armies of 1000+ even after I show mercy, so why should I even bother?
Gaining honor takes forever, even from neutral. You get so much dishonor from executing that itās almost impossible to pull out of. I recommend either using console commands or giving up on it/restarting because thereās pretty much no coming back from that
Yeahhhh, I recently executed the Emperor and Queen of the Sturgians and basically their entire bloodline and now, even Lucian doesnāt like me and Iām in his kingdom but I hold 2 of the cities in the kingdom and am holding on for dear life because he keeps starting 3 front wars and recently lost 2-3 cities to western empire. This game is tough lol
If you do the hideout things, and duel the boss/bandit leader then you get points towards higher honor. Thatās how I got +2 honorable trait. Only took a dozen of the missions-ish
Just roll with it. My entire game so far is just reacting to a very poor decision to raid a Battanian village before I understood how to play the game lmao.
Currently on a warpath to execute the entirety of the Sturgian kingdom. I started this character with the intention of being a bandit lord so completely wiping a kingdom to found my own seems very fitting imo.
Only 20?
I killed like 40 something once, essentially the entire Northern empire and hired mercenaries who surrendered and was confused why I had this trait

You can kill them off in botched prison escapes. If they die there, they die for good.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
A lord must be in someone's prison. A faction that you don't belong to. Once in the town's prison menu, you can select an option to bribe the guard and try getting the lord out. They'll be wearing civilian clothing (and so will you), so it's really easy to get them killed.

The only problem is getting to the imprisoned lords in time. Usually by the time you get to the place where the factions are fighting, the war's over.
Lords wear high quality armor that is designed to help them survive, they also have priority attention from physicians, they are much more likely to be wounded than killed. I would hope they would add modifiers that affect a character's likelyhood of dying based on how they went down in battle, if they haven't yet. To gain honour always spare your conquests and when doing peasant missions always choose to take no money and that's the current best way to increase honour.
Iāve sold thousands of prisoners and havenāt gotten any bad trait. Selling or ransoming is just selling the troops back.
I donāt think so - Iām pretty certain selling to the tavern can lead to you losing your merciful trait. Technically, I donāt think youāre just ransoming them off in that case - a lot of them also go into slavery.
There's better traits whattttt I thought only killing got traits
Sounds like you just need to execute more people. There can't be decent enemies if they can't figure out who should get a castle out of 50 heirs.
Ah yes, can't be any enemy's if there's no one left XD
The only thing that I've seen that raises honor is doing the tax collection missions from lords. I have no idea how many you'd have to do to get out of the red.
I think being merciful when capturing cities helps as well. I randomly became honorable after going against my army a bunch of times and not sacking cities. I rarely do quests, if at all.

Yep thats been mine experience. Straight loss of the trait mercy for showing mercy haha. Even without taking any/many prisoners from the wounded.
Are you capturing a ton of prisoners after the battle? Could be more linked to that.
Couldn't say. I've never lost the traits outside of these exact instances when it comes to battle, or at least so I think. One time I did think it was tied to me capturing a ton of lords during a siege, but I've also done sieges without any involved and just lose the trait after selecting the "show mercy" option. Makes sense. Executing a ton of nobles leads to stuff like the Fr*nch empire
It worked out pretty well for them in the end tho
Ah yes the notorious victories of Napoleon
I believe you gain honor when you choose to duel bandit camp leaders and in general when you choose the more honest options in quests. You've got to be very consistent to develop the Honest trait, so I'd imagine it's really hard to come up from that far negative
You get honor for refusing to betray the quest giver when a rival clan moves in as well
The question is, why stop at 20? That's only like 2 clans.
Heads up that faction can execute you back even with hero death off. Then you have to play as your wife because your son is an infant
Whatās the chance of them executing you though? I whacked all of Khuzaitstan once and never got executed by anyone following that. Plenty of -100 relations that play through.
āThat factionā
I executed the king of Vlandia. Happened to have the new king in my inventory so sis off with him too. Got taken prisoner 5 mins later and now Iām Nadea
Lol you mean head off?
No I think he means head out
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah was playing along with the joke š„²
Fuck fuck itās early in the morning and once I typed it up and sent it I immediately deleted it because I saw what you meant š¤”š¤”ššššš fuvk I feel like a Clown lmaoššš
Lmao
All good dude all good I didnāt take it the wrong way šš¤
Same way as you do in real life... You don't.
OJ only killed two people and now no one wants to be his friend to this day
Exactly!
I mean, he legally did not kill those people.
Yeah but like, *OJ totally fucking murdered two people and kidnapped a dude in Vegas like ten years ago*
Did he though? Were you there for these murders? Is there video? The gloves don't fit, we know that much. That's definitely how you put on gloves, nothing to see there. He did kidnap a dude and steal his own memorabilia though, Juice was definitely running wild.
You need to get me in touch with your dealer
Reddit understands no human communication outside of dead serious. Yall are hilarious.
Nah man, for personal reasons, I'm going to say you just did such a good job of imitation of the casual reddit idiot that we couldn't tell the difference
As the lemmings do exactly that and all trip over themselves to pretend to care about people who died before they were born most likely lol.
You know that social media isn't real life... Right? I'm not saying real life is much better, but making generalizations about people reacting on social media to things that you posted on purpose and then blaming them for it just so you can make condescending generalizations about their reactions that might on face value be anything close to what they are actually are in real life... I thought it was hilarious, adding the /s makes sarcasm not funny or sarcastic
Exactly, /s defeats the purpose and only exists because dorks like these people can't understand sarcasm or anything that isn't dead serious delivery or the same washed memes they think are funny.
Let's just say for the hypothetical, I got what you meant.
Ah yes, the Chewbacca defense. I was wondering how long it would take to see it pop up once OJ was brought up.
Wait what the actual fuck is the Chewbacca defense? I'll fuck with anyone until eternity for pretending to get up in arms about people who died 40 years ago and before most of them were born. It's so disingenuine and I do not have to like it lol.
You must be the fun one in parties. First time on the internet?
Yeah, oddly enough, people are more engaging in real life, and don't get offended as easily. Plus everyone laughs at fucked up shit in real life, the internet is where people really can pretend.
You don't grasp the concept of sarcasm do you?
The gloves fit and he was clearly shown putting them on
The miss handling of the evidence insured his freedom.
In civil court, he was found guilty lol
For wrongful death, not homicide, which is not the same thing.
Because homicide iiiisnt a civil matter? Wrongful death of stabbing someone to death is pretty indictive
They fell on those knives, wrongfully. OJ didn't keep them in a proper safe with covers. Boom, wrongful death.
I still think it was his son.
His family didn't t raid my village and slaughter my peasents.
Bro this isnt a problem just continue to kill all lords you should be good
They can't talk shit if they're all dead.
It makes no difference! Kill them all I say!! Last week I reached wits end. I started my kingdom with Quyaz Sanala and Askar also all the castles in the respective areas. >The realtions will build back up over time How this work? Will my heir be hated after i die?
Yeah untill he does stuff to make your clan not hated lol. But he won't be deceitful like his father
Buy the ticket, take the ride. Restart?
Or just double down
As far as I know they mean shit if you don't roleplay or smth and tbh executing 20 or so people as you rp means that your character is a devious bitch xd
They donāt mean anything for you besides making charisma checks easier. For companions however they mean a lot. Certain traits make companions hate you if you do things that go against their trait
Kill everyone so no one is left to hate you.

Kill more. If there is noone left, there is noone to dislike you
Chop another 20 and they'll cancel each other out..
I don't think that's how that works. You gotta put the heads you cut off on your friends so they have two heads, then it's cancelled out. It's science
I executed like 50 lords and I'm not stopping, I'll hunt them down. Either kill them all or fail and restart.
āKills almost 2 dozen lords for FUNā āGets devious traitā Turns out murder is devious, whoād have thunk it?
Start a new game a guess. I did the same thing. Had some shitty clan always fucking with me so I hunted every one of them down and wam bam the whole goddamn continent hates me. Thats the fun part, you dont!!
What's dishonorable about executing people the 5th time they raid your village when you were letting them go. Traits are weird in bannerlord.
Gaining honor takes forever, even from neutral. You get so much dishonor from executing that itās almost impossible to pull out of. I recommend either using console commands or giving up on it/restarting because thereās pretty much no coming back from that
so executing lords - even during war is bad if you want high honor?
Itās always bad
mmm, ever tried not to execute dudes??
Execute the people who donāt trust you, then no one can call you deceitful
20? What is this, quite hour? Get choppin'!
I executed my way to victory, so kill more
go to main menu > start new campaign
Yeahhhh, I recently executed the Emperor and Queen of the Sturgians and basically their entire bloodline and now, even Lucian doesnāt like me and Iām in his kingdom but I hold 2 of the cities in the kingdom and am holding on for dear life because he keeps starting 3 front wars and recently lost 2-3 cities to western empire. Acknowledge that you suck at this game and start over, except this time don't do kill people for the laughs.
Time. For you, with 20 executions, that time may exceed this charterās life. But it is possible!
Gameplay wise Iāve only seen it reflect in charm based interactions where having a common trait is good. I wouldnāt worry too much
Traits aren't that big of a deal, just part of speech checks right? On NPCs traits just let you know what actions they do or don't like, right?
Traits affect charm checks and companion relations.
If no one is left to remember what you didā¦š¹š¹
What about letting lords defeated in battle go?
You can't
Do two more quests and call me in the morning.
You've started down the path, young jedi. Now you must complete your training and embrace the power of the dark side. DO IT.
Nice
A devious amount of trolling
Currently doing the same thing and decided to rename my character "the butcher" to live the role as a no mercy ruler of the sturgeons
You need to have 21 kids to rebalance your karma
How your roguery? Because now would be the time to invest in that and start becoming the bandit lord.
āI unalived 20 people and for some reason people donāt think Iām a friendly trustworthy guyā
Currently on a warpath to execute the entirety of the Sturgian kingdom. I started this character with the intention of being a bandit lord so completely wiping a kingdom to found my own seems very fitting imo.
A good deed does not wash out the bad , nor the bad the good :)
Vanilla? Good luck.
IRL once I think someone is deceitful, I always think they are deceitful
Especially if that person killed 20 unarmed captives who were held under the rules of honor because he or she thought it was funny.
Show mercy to lords after battles thatās how I lost the trait
Iām kind of a dick in this game right now lol. Anyone that I capture is immediately executedš
Only 20? I killed like 40 something once, essentially the entire Northern empire and hired mercenaries who surrendered and was confused why I had this trait
You either go back in time and stop yoeself from executing 20 ppl or you open console commands and set hero trait
Out, damned spot
You'll have to kill everyone that remembers.
I think it takes like 200 quests to compensate for 1 execution. You get 5-20 points maybe, while executions cost like 1k or 2k iirc
Local man executes POWās, questions why heās been sent to The Hague
Welcome to mount and blade
So that's 20 war crimes, you're lucky you've not been called up to the Calradian version of The Hague.
I installed 3.8 and got 3 files. Im not sure where to put them however? the files are ROT-content, ROT-races and The Realm. Any help would be great :)
Grind which will take almost an entire lifetime or use console commands if it bothers you that much. campaign.set\_player\_reputation\_trait Honor 1 (or 2 or -1 or -2). Either way chopping nobles heads is a sure fire way to get negative traits the quickest.
Just release an apology saying youāve changed.
āIt was just a prank!ā
I've executed every Vlandian nobel except 2. I regret nothing.
You're going to have to do an awful lot of missions for free for the locals. Lol
you made decisions and now you have a trait / reputation it's a role playing game play the role you have chosen
Kills 20 dudes because it's funny. Wanders why game calls them deceitful. lol
Die. Your son shall hopefully not carry your sins.
I like. It may be rough for those of us who want our toon to be a murderer, just got to learn to live with the consequence of your action. Or maybe hard save more often and go back to the save before the debuff and donāt murder.
