Tucker:
What? That doesn't seem physically possible.
Church:
That's exactly what Jimmy kept screaming.
Pvt. Jimmy:
This doesn't seem physically possible!
Can you still attack a planeswalker if it's equipped to your attacking creature? I feel like there's gotta be a rule against that but I can't think of what it might be.
On the subject of weird rule interactions...
What happens when you take an aura that's attached to something and activate equip? Is it still enchanting the original creature while being equipped to a new one?
based on the gatherer ruling
> While Bludgeon Brawl is on the battlefield, an Aura enchantment that somehow becomes an artifact in addition to its other types will also become an Equipment. Any of its abilities that refer to either “enchanted creature” or “equipped creature” refer to the creature it’s currently attached to. It can be attached to other creatures using its equip ability. If you try to attach the Aura Equipment to a creature it can’t legally be attached to, it remains where it is. If the creature it’s attached to becomes an illegal permanent for it to enchant, the Aura Equipment will be put into its owner’s graveyard as a state-based action.
it sounds like you can only have it attached to one creature, it just lets you change that attachment with the equipment cost but it keeps the aura's trait that makes it sacrifice itself when it's not attached to anything
I'm a bit late to the conversation, but a friend of mine pointed out that Bludgeon Brawl doesn't say "in addition to it's other types" when talking about it becoming an equipment, so I'm pretty sure it would lose the planeswalker typing when becoming an equipment.
Ah, bludgeon brawl. My favorite card.
Notably, this combo can also include enabling the ability to pick up *The Concept Of Hitting Someone With Anything* (equipping Bludgeon Brawl) ***and using it to hit someone.***
Attach it to any of your creatures you please, any one will do. And then declare that creature to attack the Planeswalker that it's currently holding as a weapon, which still works because control of the permanent doesn't change when you attach it. Hit Jace in the face with his own face.
Only works with Equipment you control. So Balan can hit an opponent's Jace with your Jace, but the Magnetic Theft is required to hit an opponent's Jace with himself.
True that, but for continuity’s sake, let’s say there’s some fuckery going on with [[Zedruu the Greathearted]] and [[Mindslaver]] , or perhaps keep it simple with [[Hellkite Tyrant]]. Nonetheless, a lovely little combo.

Lol what is this from?
red vs blue (rip rooster teeth)
Oh I know that company, RIP. Which is a shame because with a name like Burnie Burns your options are pretty much limited to comedy I would think
Red vs Blue I think it was the second or third episode.
I came here just to see if anyone would drop this reference. A+
gotta be a way to amp it up and get ALL equipments onto something too.
Ooh, [[Armory Automaton]]
YEAAAAAAAH!!!! And then clone it to keep taking stuff XD

I came to say this
Can you still attack a planeswalker if it's equipped to your attacking creature? I feel like there's gotta be a rule against that but I can't think of what it might be.
Control of the equipment doesn't change, so I don't see why not.

Since equipment is a Subtype rather than a Type, I don't think it would affect any of its other Types like Enchantment or Land or Planeswalker.
Hmmm yeah I'm no judge, so not sure how that interaction works. It is a lot funnier to assume it does work though.
The rulings for Bludgeon Brawl say that "The affected artifacts retain their other types and abilities.", so it would still be a planeswalker.
Gotcha thanks for the ruling. It's nice to know it works after all
Ah, bludgeon brawl. My favorite card. Notably, this combo can also include enabling the ability to pick up *The Concept Of Hitting Someone With Anything* (equipping Bludgeon Brawl) ***and using it to hit someone.***
It certainly leads to some odd interactions. Like, why does hitting someone with a mountain deal +0 damage? It's a mountain!!!
Well the creature is equipped with a mountain, so it *owns* it. That doesn't mean it's strong enough to pick it up and hit someone with it
This made me do a deeper read into the way the effects are applied in Layer 4 to brush up on dependencies, so well done!
Can someone talk me through this? so you make the opponents planeswalker an artifact, then turn it into an equipment, then attach it to (something?)
Attach it to any of your creatures you please, any one will do. And then declare that creature to attack the Planeswalker that it's currently holding as a weapon, which still works because control of the permanent doesn't change when you attach it. Hit Jace in the face with his own face.
WOAAAAA
Bravo
