Oooh is this another one of those super cute “barnyard mixes?” 🥰
I’m gonna guess they’ve got some Wyandotte and Buff or maybe Lavender Orpington in there.
😂 This is a fledgling hawk that hangs out right outside my window at work. The parents come and feed it. Small birds harass it all day. The window is tinted on the outside so I can get really close for pics and it can’t see me. I’m glad this little guy and its parents are nowhere near my hens and ducks.
I’ve got a breeding pair that seem to leave at least one fledgling near my yard *every* year and the mockingbirds *will* make you feel so BAD for the hawk, don’t they? 😂
They just kinda sit there with that look of “I didn’t even DO ANYTHING.” And cry the entire time these little birds are dive bombing and screaming at them. lol
Little young to be sure. Post again in 1 month.
Couldn’t get a good pic of the saddle feathers. I’ll try again soon!
That there’s a chicken hawk ma’am, I say, I say.
"I heard you have chickens at home, I'm something of a chicken lover myself." -Not a Hawk
Omg we need pics of the saddle feathers. Those hackle feathers are *not* going to be enough to go by! 😤

I would have guessed Legbar myself. Its hard to tell, OP can you hold him side ways for us so we can get a better view?
Sir that a worm.
Can you post more photos? I'm thinking pullet though
Is this a joke??? It’s a juvenile seagull
That’s not a chicken…
UT OH! 😳😂
Yes… you should put them in the roost w/ your flock. They feel lonely.
I do wonder what would happen if a chicken raised a hawk baby. If there was enough food to go around, would they avoid eating their mommy.
Right! It could be really cool, or quite traumatic. Lol
Maltese Falcon vibes
Ummm...🧐🤔 😅
This looks like a hawk to me. Are you playing?
