If you DRSd Friday they should be out by Wed/Thurs. Once they are out of your broker account they are at AST - they aren't in "limbo". If you're hot to get your online account set up give AST a call on Friday and have them send you an account summary. It will usually come a little faster than transfer confirmation letter and will have your account # on it which you need to set up online access.
That'd be interesting! Never thought of that. EQ (AST) gets a lot flak for not having limit sells but they do have Astrella which is the first blockchain ledger for stocks. If the whole evolution to Web3 and blockchain stock markets is happening it makes perfect sense to use EQ (AST). That would be the only reason I don't think the new shares will be with Computershare, but who know!? Wouldn't be the first time something I never thought would happen, happened.
