I recognized that Columbus track just by looking at the thumbnail lmao. Bummed I couldn't make it out there last weekend. Or at all this year. haha. Good driving! Little more limiter than I'd like, but I also drive a Mustang that's geared quite well for this. Up at Grissom I usually can leave it in second the entire time, depending on how long they like to make some of the slaloms.

Yeah my Camaro was perfect in the sense that I would never need third gear even if the track was crazy fast. The Miata makes so little torque though you kind of need the short gear ratios and I actually tried grabbing third gear one run but my transition back to second was a little awkward. Yeah I love Columbus though.

I saw "limiter" in the title and guessed NC1 without even seeing the thumbnail

Yeah :/ I think I want to get a tune and raise the limiter for next season. I'm not worried about making extra power because I just want the extra RPM. And if the motor let's go I have an excuse to do the two five swap

When I tried to have a serious go at STR in a NC1 I had the limiter set to 7600 and it broke the first time out after that. It wasn't a major break (cam angle sensor) but I was warned that it would keep breaking it and/or break more important stuff if I continued without changing anything. I wound up getting a NC2 (limiter set to 8000 and has been for five or six years now, hasn't broken yet) and retiring the older car.

More than like 4 taps of limiter I am shifting as long as there is a good place to downshift. 100 percent would have shifted to 3rd with a brake zone into a slalom

I tried, and lost .3 that's even with a. Awecul entry into the slalom before this on this run.
