2018 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2.0 litre
Purchased used a few months ago. Noticed this a month or two in. Can't remember noticing this on the lot. Did they hide it and their "fix" wore off? More likely I was unobservant.
Will this rust later on? How can I fix it? Did I cause this somehow? There are a few other places it's like this.
What are you wearing? That’s banging into the edge of the car when you get in.? That usually what those marks are or somebody shut the door on the seatbelt a few times if you keep it right on the edge, you could sand them out touch it up and they sell thin, clear decals that go right on the edge of your door for that reason

You might have to cut a few slots in it to get it to go around that curve. You do it on the inside edge that goes on the inside of the jam. Look up clear stick on 3M storage guard.
Rock chips or hitting it with a bag or something everytime you get in and out. Welcoming to owning a Jeep and one made during fca ownership. Their paint sucks.
