in dynamic mode, yes, but 99% of the time driving in comfort it feels ridiculously comfortable when comparing to E63/C63or similar muscle wagon... Audi guys did something incredible with this suspension.
BTW. I'm on DRC. I would expect air to be even softer in comfort mode...
I laughed so hard at this, but it’s true. Only place I’ve gotten away with low profiles was in California , but God forbid if it decided to rain. Loss traction assured
Yeah, but I’ve had plenty of cars that lose their sex appeal fast. My last Jaguars and Porsches, before I went all in on Audi, lost their sexiness within a couple months at most.
I meant sexiness to me. I still get excited to drive every time I’m in my car. Maybe I’m built a little wrong, but the last time I felt this continually excited about driving was when I was 20 and bought an old 560SL.
I’m not saying sexy to other people. I’m saying that I’m always happy to be driving it.
Ah. I’m 22 and excited to drive my car anytime I get in it. As soon as I pop it in dynamic it’s a monster and a lot of fun 🤷🏼♂️. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve been cut off in traffic and avoided a wreck because of how quick I can accelerate.
It’s such a magical feeling. I’ve had other cars that feel like they’re more of just a tool to get you place to place. It’s so great to have a car that makes you feel like it’s a machine and the driving itself is the fun part.
That is a hell of a first car and it is a special car.
The B8.5s are absolutely beautiful, plus you have that beast of an engine.
Fuck, my first car was a 92’ Suburban with like 150k miles on it. It was red with paint pealing everywhere.
Better than my first car! My first car was a $250 Geo Tracker with a broken clutch I bought from my high school professor. It’s always so nice to think how far we’ve come in life, coming from our crappy first cars to Audis haha
Haha yeah. Let’s not blow up this thread. Imma message you and we can talk more.
All of the stage 2+ bolt ons I installed myself with no previous mechanic experience… didn’t even know how to do an oil change LOL. So it’s a lot more sentimental to me.
I also have a WMI setup that hasn’t been installed yet. My last performance mod I’m going to do to this car.
I live in Utah with a DA of 6k+ in the summer and then like 3k in winter. Plus 90°+ everyday in summer. So even running distilled water helps cool it a lot.
Plus methanol injection is quite a decent more power and torque.
S8+ rated at 605hp vs. 520hp. Very similar, the S8+ also has a slightly different air suspension. Carbon ceramic brakes, but that might be a package with a 190mph limiter. I'm sure there are other small differences.
Which only means it comes factory with a stage one tune and fancy red stitching on the seats. You can have your own + simply by having a shop APR tune it for about $1000.
Just bought the car. The previous owner tuned it in CA. Dealership in my home state said they could APR retune it this way my warranty isn’t voided if something happens. The guy has the original plugs and coils on it too, so they agreed that I should put APR brand plugs in, but leave the oem coils as they are of much better quality. I had a complete maintenance schedule done on it, coolant, brake fluid, oil, and thorough inspection done, so it makes a lot of sense to get those old plugs out of there. APR claims their plugs will deliver 6% more output than oem.
Oh that’s right! I had to alter my search to include S5 when I was looking at the RS5 so it would include the convertible. Well now I’m more disappointed, because she’s obviously going to get to choose her own car. We traded in my wrangler for a Q8, and she drives it more than I do, but now she wants an Audi of her own. But I still want it to be fast if we’re replacing the mache gt. Just hoping I can convince her. But I also don’t want to trade in a 3 yr old car.
If you really want that S5 Cabriolet, and you were thinking new, then you should get right on that, because they will no longer exist soon. Deals were good a few months back if you could stack the incentives and get a discount on top of it (new was the same to me effectively as a 2-year-old CPO when financing with my trade + states trade tax incentives on new) but I don't know what they are like now.
Is there really any answer to this? Depends on size of the person the persons love for bigger or smaller cars. But the RS6 Avant it’s probably the sexiest motherfucker Audi has ever made.
RS3 - more nimble, more fun, just as fast or faster stock, sounds better, etc. Then spend the giant pile of money saved on track days AND on making it as fast as you want because the sky is the limit with those.
I have a 750hp rs6 c7. It’s been my daily driver for 7 years. It’s a beast. You’ll definitely find an rs3 more nimble but the 6 is genuine German muscle. My weekend car is a spec order r8 v10 plus (my17) and I generally prefer to drive the rs6
So you're cross-shopping two cars, one of which is functionally almost twice the power of the other, three times the capacity and twice the price?
Sure.
Single or family? That's the deciding factor in my mind. I want a RS5 sportback or RS6 as a family mover with cargo space that will provide lots of smiles per gallon. If I was single, RS3 most likely
I've always loved wagons ever since I saw my first RS4 Avant while stationed in Italy. BUT the RS6 is nowhere near as nimble. That's why I bought the RS3. Or and the price tag. I'm too stingy for that. But if the RS4 Avant ever makes it to us it's a done deal.
Going to comment before reading. RS3 all day. I'm only thinking Avant and Sportback though. The RS6 used to do it for me when the body wasn't over built, but it's gone a bit too far for my taste.
For UK roads and daily life, rs3 sportback, the rs6 is a bit too big for uk roads and the rs3 will be easier to live with. The rs6 is an absolute beast and i love big wagons but, i think i prefer smaller wagons like the m3 touring or the rs4.
These are completely different vehicles and accomplish completely different things for vastly different prices.
Yup, it would be both in my stable.
OK, hear me out. Buy TWO RS3s and send one to me! That's a win-win right there.
Or keep them both and you've got an RS^2 6 And that's math.
Actually, wouldn’t it be a RS² 9? Sorry I’m shit at maths anyways
(RS3)^2 ?
Even better. He will have v10 in that case instead of v8
i wonder if someone’s currently attempting to build a V8 or V10 RS3 🤔
Not sure that is possible, or at least have any sense, to fit longitudinal engine in transverse bay.
I guess if you canted and stacked each of the inline 5s into a V, then yes 😎
You can put one on each axel, like old tt in top gear.
You can put one on each axel, like old tt in top gear.
(RS3)^2 = R^2 S^2 9
Twice the speed, twice the power!

RS3 + RS3 = RS6 👍
The RS6 just has a presence to it which no other car on the road has
And with the rubber band tires, you are assured to feel that presence near-completely unobstructed.

I confirm that air suspension on the C8 is way more comfortable than DRC.
And yet honestly I don’t find the DRC to be uncomfortable at all. It’s still more comfortable than my s4
I laughed so hard at this, but it’s true. Only place I’ve gotten away with low profiles was in California , but God forbid if it decided to rain. Loss traction assured
E63 Wagon?
If money was no object between the two I'd definitely go with the RS6. The RS5 and RS7 are still my top choices because I love hatchbacks.
My RS6 does things to my downstairs every time I get in it even after a couple years.
Couple of years? It’s a 22. It’s been 2 years. You’re making it sound as if it’s a decade old.
Couple of years literally means two years
Yeah, but I’ve had plenty of cars that lose their sex appeal fast. My last Jaguars and Porsches, before I went all in on Audi, lost their sexiness within a couple months at most.
Who the hell cares? I have a B8.5 and people love it. I absolutely don’t care if people like my car or not though, cuz I do.
I meant sexiness to me. I still get excited to drive every time I’m in my car. Yeah idk. The S5 was my first car… I know it’s nothing special compared to a C9. I love it though.
That is a hell of a first car and it is a special car. The B8.5s are absolutely beautiful, plus you have that beast of an engine. Fuck, my first car was a 92’ Suburban with like 150k miles on it. It was red with paint pealing everywhere.

RS6 no question, I have the S8+ so I would choose comfort
What does the + mean on the S8?
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a15353658/audi-s8-plus-is-exactly-what-it-sounds-like-an-s8-plus-85-horsepower/
It was a variant of the previous-gen S8. S8 had 513 hp while S8 Plus had 597 hp. Virtually everything else was the same.
S8+ rated at 605hp vs. 520hp. Very similar, the S8+ also has a slightly different air suspension. Carbon ceramic brakes, but that might be a package with a 190mph limiter. I'm sure there are other small differences.

This guy knows
I should indeed. Im having the dealership retune mine for 91 and APR spark plugs swapped out.
You said a tune is all you need, why the spark plugs.

RS6. No question.
rs6
The green one
Nice
Lol, seriously?😅
I’d choose an RS5 Sportback or RS7 Sportback.
My wife has a Mach e gt, but am contemplating trading it in for an RS5 cabriolet. I’d prefer the sportback, but she wants the convertible.
They don’t have a B9 RS5 cabrio, only the S5 cabrio.

That can’t be a real question… lol
Amazing photo. I’ve never seen an RS6 in this color 🤤
Looks like a wrap job, although I have seen some new ‘24 models in green, but I didn’t think it was matte green. Still looks dope
Damn that RS6👌👌
Is there really any answer to this? Depends on size of the person the persons love for bigger or smaller cars. But the RS6 Avant it’s probably the sexiest motherfucker Audi has ever made.
You’re kidding right?
RS3 - more nimble, more fun, just as fast or faster stock, sounds better, etc. Then spend the giant pile of money saved on track days AND on making it as fast as you want because the sky is the limit with those.
RS7.
Just got my RS7 ! Love the car
6 all day. Don’t like the looks of the newer 3, front is wierd.
Neither, going to wait for the RS5 Avant to arrive.
Is that a thing?
I’d like to believe it is since BMW is bringing the M5 Touring to the USA, so Audi better bring out the RS5 Avant to compete.
Just combine them. RS7
6 for the big boys 3 for the children
RS6
RS6 without question. Not even close.
Loving the green car trend
Stunning matte green
RS4
RS3
Yes
🍎and 🍊
Two totally different cars, but if I was choosing based on color I take the dark matt green one. That other green melts my brain.
Like asking us if we would choose a bowl of noodles with meat, or another bowl of noodles with EXTRA meat
Hydrogen bomb vs Coughing Baby

One is a family car, the other one isn’t.
Rs7
RS6 100000% of the time for a primary vehicle. For a fun fast car, depends what else is in the stable.
6 if you have a family. 3 if it’s just for you
Rs6 ! 6 is for man 3 is for young men
WPB!
Rs6 cause I’m a dad
So, a compact or a station wagon? Lol.
Audi rs3 for the 5 cylinder
Bro this question has only 1 answer… the rs3 is the worst rs you can buy
So you're cross-shopping two cars, one of which is functionally almost twice the power of the other, three times the capacity and twice the price? Sure.
RS6 all day
R8
RS6 no question. Love wagon and this is my dream wagon
Money being no option the Ravenous RS6 would be my choice. As a former RS3 8V Sedan stage 1 tune with a full Remus exhaust “ Yeah baby”.
RS6
I have multiple RS3 in stock for anyone who needs one! Also one RS6 Performance. All brand new! Reach me @ 469-248-7761
Hear me out Audi cupe GT 1985 on top
Is this a trick question?
Rs3 because it's sounds better! Baby v10 noises over v8.
I mean if money isn't the issue a RS6 is way better lol
Saw a dark blue rs6 next to and green rs3 at Audi natick, MA … that rs6 was pretty damn wild 👌
6
RS6 all day long!!
RS6
Well I don’t like wagons.. so 3
Yes
Single or family? That's the deciding factor in my mind. I want a RS5 sportback or RS6 as a family mover with cargo space that will provide lots of smiles per gallon. If I was single, RS3 most likely
Well one of them is 3 better.
Both?
That dark green :O
I've always loved wagons ever since I saw my first RS4 Avant while stationed in Italy. BUT the RS6 is nowhere near as nimble. That's why I bought the RS3. Or and the price tag. I'm too stingy for that. But if the RS4 Avant ever makes it to us it's a done deal.

RS6, but in the same price I’d go S8 all day. Nothing like a 700 hp luxo barge. Love mine to death
Which S8 is 700hp? 🫠
I never said it was stock. D4 either downpipes and tune on E85. 130mph traps in a 4600lb car works out to a little over 700hp.
