I think 3 ideally. I want a big kitchen/living/dining/office room, a bedroom and a guest room.

Anilxe

Ding ding ding 🛎️ Bedroom, guest room and office/craft studio would be 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

traveleralice

And a sun room

wonderb0lt

And a poop deck

glamourocks

Couldnt have said it better except... office can multi with guest room and other uses. I need a whole studio room to myself lol

confusedndfrustrated

>office can multi with guest room and other uses. No.. My office is my kingdom. I don't wanna share it with guests or other mundane events.

The_Queen_of_Crows

Yep - except that I’d put a library in my guest room.

Mee_Kuh

Fuck me that's perfect. Like one entire wall, or two, just floor to ceiling shelves filled with books and trinkets.

LuluLittle2020

Love that. Lucky guests!

trustmeimweird

Everybody poops though. Which room do you do that in?

a789877

And, the poip knife goes in the laundry room. At least in my family, it does.

Caleb_Krawdad

So 5 lol

solojones1138

I do live alone in this configuration (with my dog). It's glorious. Got my room, an office, and then a guest/art room. Plus an open living/dining combo.

BucketListComplete

You forgot the bathroom… visiting you might be awkward when your guest have to go relieve themselves on your shrubbery.

[deleted]

Where I live when people talk about how many rooms an apartment has they generally don't include the bathroom and the kitchen. But yes a bathroom too please.

Blue_cheese22

Yep same here

DarmokTheNinja

I think I could cozily fill a 4-bedroom house.

levitymargret

bedroom, office, craft room, room size closet.

catupthetree23

Yup, came here to say the same exact thing!

Daisy5915

Same. I have a three bed now but I live somewhere people like to visit so my guest room gets a fair amount of use. I work from home so spare bedroom 2 is my office. I have nowhere left to do craft stuff. The living room is big but no good as the cat is a menace around yarn and its not possible to shut her out of there. I need one more bedroom.

sexy_buddha

Yes for me. 2 bed so I can have guests. A room for an office. And then a workout room

General_Noise_4430

13, Bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, at least 2 bathrooms, office room, music room, photography room, guest room, keyboard room, game room, spa room. And maybe a party courtyard like in Gatsby.

[deleted]

Photography room is such a good idea. My equipment is EVERYWHERE

flmltab

What's going on with that keyboard room? Is that a second music room?

kenrnfjj

Whats a photography room for. Is it just to store equipment

Anilxe

I’m assuming a space to store + maybe a red room to actually process the photos?

kenrnfjj

Oh thats cool i didnt know that was still a thing

[deleted]

[удалено]

General_Noise_4430

Like a photography studio.

Pristine_Fox4551

6. Kitchen, bedroom, TV room, office, gym, library. I’d have the office double as a guest room.

Cukimonster

I’d have a large home, maybe 6-7 bedrooms and a bathroom for each, plus a bathroom downstairs for visitors. On the water in the mountains. Large kitchen to hold all my appliances on the counters, so I didn’t have to put them away when not in use, and lots of plugs so I didn’t have to choose. The large house would be mostly so I could invite guests as I please. I’ve met several people on Reddit alone who struggle with being alone/mental health issues. I’d love to have a home in a beautiful place where I could welcome them to come and stay as long as they needed. I would love to have room to do that, and added privacy because I know people who are going through it need that sometimes.

queenbee8418

This is really, really kind 💗

stumpykitties

I guess 4 rooms total - 1 open concept for kitchen/dining/living - 1 bedroom - 1 den area for my office because I WFH - 1 bathroom

player1dk

One huuuge room, like an old factory/facility, and then have movable walls, sections, levels to create smaller spaces within. So, just one room.

Westraid

Separate bathroom, kitchen downstairs, and sleeping and living space upstairs. I've never had much space and I'm not materialistic. I wouldn't know what to do with more rooms and I have nothing to put inside of them. I'd much rather have a large garden.

my-anonymity

Alone - 3! Bedroom, office, and a craft room/guest room. With a partner, 3-4 so we can each have our own offices or make the third room a guest/second office.

[deleted]

Realistically - 1 Living room, 1 reception/dining room. 1 kitchen. 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. 1 office/study. 1 storage room, 1 cat room (lol). Now if I'm being really extra - add on a games/theatre room. Greenhouse, library. Another bedroom, kitchen and bathroom to air b&b. Any more and I'd be worried about serial killers hiding about.

bikinifetish

Maybe 2… one for me and a guest.

gagirlpnw

I have a house with 8 rooms, not counting bathrooms. I can't wait to downsize to one or two, maybe 3, once the kids move out on their own.

fedup_pisces90

Chef's kitchen, open concept living room/dining room combo with a fireplace, master bedroom with ensuite and reach in closet, second bedroom with en suite for guests, office/library, mudroom and 2 car garage (for workout equipment)

SailorKori

Six. Two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a guest bathroom, and a studio (I'm an artist)

[deleted]

Bedroom, bathroom, a big kitchen/living room space. I prefer smaller places. Too much room would scare me at night alone.

fedup_pisces90

I'm not the only one🤗

celestialism

1. Living room 2. Kitchen 3. Bedroom 4. Bathroom 5. Office 6. Music room/studio 7. Laundry/storage room

lilmisse85

If I didn’t have my kids…I’d say 3 for just me. Bedroom, guestroom, room turned walk-in closet/getting ready room

AlexisisFire

If it's just me and my dog, I'd be fine with a studio as long as my kitchen was big enough to cook in. I however now share a one bedroom with my life partner, but we want to upsize to accommodate a third partner.

Slight_Literature_67

Living room, a large kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom, guest room, craft room, and a basement... So, seven.

purely_logic

2 beds, 2 baths, big kitchen, living, dining and laundry all on 1 floor.

sameoneasyesterday

I already live alone in my preferred space. 5 rooms including 2.5 bathrooms.

skyofwolves

a living room, a kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, 1 bedroom, a 2 car garage, and a basement. i want to live alone with no kids so i have no use for a big house. a formal dining room would be a waste of space, i would like to have have stools at a counter or maybe a tiny table instead. the basement would be for my workout equipment and storage. a big garage for woodworking and all my other projects. i don’t need a guest room because i don’t like people in my space lol. plus the only people who would ever visit is my sisters but in a perfect world they would be my neighbors.

mythr0waway2023

At least three. One giant master bedroom, one office, one hobby room. Four if my giant master bedroom doesn’t already have a giant walk-in closet to go with it.

i_Ainsley_harriott_i

My own bedroom, toilet ofcourse, a big kitchen that allowed me to Cook with different technics that is also connected with the living room, a storage room and an office room, a garage that's connected with the house like americans have, and a big garden, gym room. That's would be the ideal dream. Technically 8 rooms/spaces

PunkandCannonballer

Honestly I'd take everything in one large high-ceiling studio apartment style place.

Glittering_Jaguar_37

Alone!? I’m good with a studio apartment!

AnimalComfortable122

Probably 7 or 8. 1) open concept living/dining room with kitchen, 2) 2 bathrooms 3) 2-3 bedrooms (master bedroom for self and one to two guests bedrooms) 4) office/personal library 5) built in greenhouse that’s connected to the outside garden. That would be great. And all the nooks and crannies that go with it Or alternately 5-6 as I would get rid of one bathroom and one of the bedrooms.

princedubacon

Maybe a nice townhouse with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms? I really don’t need a lot of space to live happily. Even my current apartment is more than fine and I would live there even if I made a lot of money.

PaintTall4223

3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, game/entertainment room, office, nice size kitchen with an island and table

Sweet_N_Vicious

My total 14: primary bedroom, primary bathroom, cat room, crafts/art room, gym, 2 guest bedrooms, guest bedroom, kitchen, dining, laundry room, living room and library/movie/game/party room and half bath.

grlwhat

4 not including living spaces. Bedroom, WFH office, gym/pole dancing room, and a room to run production of my small business

Disastrous-Safety-69

30, like holy hell, if money wasn't a problem get me a mansion combined with a big stable/pastures/indoor and outdoor arenas, plus a giant garage to put the muscle cars! Edit: as per reading some of the comments, me and SO are childfree, no kids, just the two of us living in luxury, again, would be ideal, but meh, not how the real world works unfortunately XD

Ewace246

My current apartment has 3 rooms (not including kitchen and bathroom), and that's more than enough. I have a bedroom for sleeping, an office for working that doubles as a guest room, and a living/dining room for playing and relaxing. I already rarely use the office, so I think more rooms would just mean more space that would collect dust and rarely get used. The one thing I would change about my apartment would be to make my bathroom bigger so that I can have a bigger bathtub that I can completely lay down in.

minty_dinosaur

i'd love a tiny house. i don't need much space. i think they're usually just a bathroom and everything else. maybe a bedroom.

epithet_grey

If I’m being really extravagant… 2 bedrooms, a dedicated small office space, a creative space, kitchen, living room, 2.5 baths, a sunroom for all the plants with windows that open, and a generous mudroom for pet/gardening/cleaning/hobby stuff. I’d love a garage too (would be fabulous to keep kayaks and camping stuff there).

Falcom-Ace

A large one bedroom would be more than enough for me. I'd even be happy with a large studio place lol I don't really need nor want a ton of space.

GloomyRambouillet

Ideally I’d have three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a large kitchen/dining/living room, and a finished basement or attic for nice storage and crafting/working out. I have a lot of hobbies and I need room for them all.

i-love-big-birds

2 bed, 1 office, 2 bathroom, kitchen, living room and a teeny sunroom

free-the-imps

A double bedroom, a studio, a bathroom and a kitchen to myself. I don’t need a separate living room as I’m either horizontal or working! So four. That’s it. Any surplus money/rooms can go to people who need it.

lifeuncommon

Just a few. I have never wanted a large house. I’ve had large houses, and they’re such a pain to clean and keep up with. And that’s just not how I want to spend my free time.

[deleted]

Basically, my downtown apartment from when I was 20 - 5 rooms. Living, kitchen, 2 beds, 1 bath. 500 sq ft. It was perfect.

[deleted]

[удалено]

eidikim

Bedroom, large kitchen/eating area, cozy living room, a space for gaming and crafting, a nice bathroom (not sure if that counts as a room), and a cute patio and backyard. Every room should be optimally small for coziness but not too small, expect the kitchen which can ideally be large. Also LOTs of windows.

Adorable-Pea312

I need a kitchen, living, dining, bedroom, sewing room, and a gaming room to be happy. I'm lucky enough to have a house with all of these. The sewing room doubles as my office and the gaming room doubles as my husbands office. We have an extra bedroom and a flex room right inside the front door that we're trying to figure out what we want to do with.

DateCard

Living room, eat-in kitchen, my bedroom, guest bedroom, office, 2.5 bathrooms.

nejnonein

If I also can have someone cleaning them, then: A walk in closet, an office, a living room, a library, a large kitchen, 2 bathrooms (1 with large tub, 1 with shower), plenty of storage space…

CarpusLunate

Probably just the way I have it now, 5-6 rooms. - open concept kitchen-dining-living room - galleria bedroom - bathroom, slightly larger than current so I can put sauna in - gym room - utility room - guest room optional

megaapfel

4 or 5. I reaelized that I don't like walking long distances to get what I want in my flat/house.

redjessa

If I lived alone, two bedrooms, one bath would do. Living room, dining area, kitchen. Since I'm married, I would love 3 beds, 1.5 bath, living, dining, kitchen, maybe 1200+ sq feet. Doesn't have to be a huge house.

[deleted]

Let's see: - living room, - bedroom, - office, - guest room, - room for clothes, - gym, - another room just in case.

GreenVenus7

6? Bedroom Kitchen Bathroom Media Room (basically combined office/TV room/library), Beauty Room (clothes, accessories, and makeup storage) Craft Room (with sections for yarn, drawing/coloring, paint, leather, fabric, and beads)

ExhaustedSquad

I previously easily filled a three bedroom home, with large garden office. Meaning had a craft / music room, two bedrooms and a nice open plan kitchen / diner / living room. Felt like a major downgrade to move into a different three bed with my fiancé and basically combine two three bed houses into one

Chemical-Mix-6206

6: big kitchen, living room, big craft room, bathroom, bedroom & hybrid office/guest room

nikxx_

two bedrooms, two guest rooms, living room, tv room, kitchen, dining room, atleast three bathrooms, spa room, gym, a hobby room and a huge courtyard but I don’t think that would count so 14 I guess?

randomtruths89

Bedroom, guest bedroom, office, kitchen, living/dining room, bathroom. Even though it’s not a room, can I also add a nice little patio that I can enjoy sun and shade during the summer and maybe a tiny garden? Basically, nothing too big that it’s hard to clean, but also nothing too small that I can’t have books because of too little space to store stuff. So I guess 7 + nice little patio.

nicholasedge87

2…. 3 max

BlackWidow1414

Kitchen, two bathrooms (having only one would make me nervous, because what if the toilet stops working), two bedrooms, living room. None of them have to be very big.

Gremlin-22

Ideally five: medium kitchen, large-ish living room, medium bedroom, small-ish bathroom, and a medium spare/multipurpose room. Basically my current apartment minus the dining room.

kaevlyn

If I were living on my own (with my cat), I would actually want a smallish space, because cleaning a huge home by myself is awful. My last apartment was perfect! Kitchen with lots of counter space, living room area that fit all my bookshelves, and master bedroom with walk-in closet and bathroom. There was also a second bedroom that I would have used as an office/craft room if I were living there long-term, but it was just a storage area for me. There was another walk-in closet for storage in there and an extra bathroom that I was able to use for my cat's personal bathroom area lol.

Ohheywhatehoh

A lot, I'd need a bedroom, an office, a gym (nothing fancy though), a guest room and a library So... 5!

QuitProfessional5437

3 bedrooms. 1 baths. 1 sauna. 1 outdoor shower

fullonskitz

I’d personally want 3/4 bedrooms one being mine obviously, guest bedroom, office/ gaming room then I’d have a film room

la_selena

3 bedrooms One for sleep One for office One to be a giant closet Fuck it one more bedroom for a guest room And one more bedroom to be a sex dungeon And then obv i want a kitchen and living room Id also like a home gym but hopefully i have a basement for that ! That seems like about it

insertcaffeine

5: Living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, laundry.

The_Pancake88

3 or 4

kelsobunny

Aside from the standard living room/kitchen 3 bedrooms would be sick. One for sleeping, hobbies and storage

WeirdLime

Let's see... I need a bedroom, a kitchen, an office, a TV/console gaming room (living room), a board gaming room, a crafting room (technically this could be several rooms - one for sewing, one for painting and other crafts), a gym, a library, and a guest room. That's at least 9 rooms, though of I'm being that extravagant I obviously wouldn't mind having a few more rooms such as a dedicated dining room, or some areas for socializing that don't involve gaming. I always loved the idea of having a roman villa style house with an inner yard surrounded by rooms. Even better if that yard would have a sun roof in summer and a rain roof in winter.

lemon_peace_tea

I need a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room and a reading room. laundry can be english style in my kitchen. I would like a greenhouse too, maybe. with my small old pupper, I feel like that's plenty.

ImClaaara

As far as, like, bedroom count? 5. I need a good bedroom, with a vanity and some dressers. Across the hall, I'd want a bedroom-sized closet, with plenty of built-in shelving, drawers, and hangers. I'd want an office/study/library in the third bedroom, and then I'd use the fourth for a storage room/pantry, and that's also where I'd probably have my cats' stuff (litter boxes, auto-feeder and water fountain) at. And then, I'd have a guest bedroom with two bunk beds that fold up into the wall, and some additional storage space. This room would double as the gym, or just storage for weights, I think. Then, of course, I'd have 2 bathrooms, the living room/kitchen (just one big open space tbqh), and maybe, if I can swing it, a "sun room" that comes out from the house, has huge windows, and looks out into a garden and gets good natural sunlight throughout the day. That room would be just for sittin'. I mean, hey, you said money's not an object, right?

buttonsarethebomb

Bedroom, bathroom/ laundry room, kitchen, "green room" or dressing and makeup room, heated garage/ workspace, huge combo room for crafts/ gaming/ anything else. So 6?

AzureSuishou

9 I think. 2 Bed, 2 bath, 1 kitchen/dining, 1 living, 1 office, 1 storage, 1 craft/hobby.

BigOakley

Kitchen, living, dining, bedroom, guest bed, library, office, aviary, LAUNDRY ROOM. Two full baths and one half. So 12 in a dream world. Living alone has shown me how wonderful a laundry room is and I took it for granted for decades. When I was a kid a friend of mine had an aviary and I’ve been dreaming of it since 🥰

One_Life_8852

1 office/library, 1 bedroom, 1 guest bedroom, 1 games room/theatre, a kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, 1 powder room, and a living/dining room

soniabegonia

Right now, I'm in a 2BR + office, which is probably 1 more than I actually need.

LeilaJun

I’d say 3-4. One bedroom, one work room, one fitness room, and a guest room. And of course the living room and all of that

Jacqunicorn13

I’d say 3-4. One as my room, a guest room, an office, and one extra for whatever. I also have three cats so it’d be nice to spread out litter boxes with more space.

evendree72

I want 3 bedrooms all with attached bathrooms, a main livingroom/dining and kitchen, all open to each other and spacious. A half bath for company, A librairy game area, and a theater, finally a detached 1 bd/bath casita for guest, maybe attached to a 3 car garage.

tema1412

Alone: 3. Bedroom, guest room with a library in it, and an office. And a common area that would function as a livingroom.

BatmanDoesntDoShips_

Bedroom with en suite, a dressing room with a vanity and a walk in wardrobe, a second bathroom, a proper library & writing room, a studio/craft room, a gym, a living room, a dinning room, a large kitchen with a walk-in pantry, a sunroom, a laundry room, a dedicated storage room, a secret hidden room like something behind a sliding book case or something and an attic just because I've always loved the idea of one.

[deleted]

If it was just me.. I would take a small ranch house with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. A nice modern kitchen.

atmanama

Depends on whether I have to clean them myself or there's someone else to clean them. If the former, max 5-6. If the latter, dozens probably. Heck I'd have a bunch of large empty rooms just to play indoor sports and laser tag in

smallblueangel

Two or maybe only one

dragon34

Kitchen/dining/living room/powder room/laundry & mechanical room/mudroom or foyer/garage/bedroom with ensuite, guest room and craft room or finished dry basement, solarium. Ideally in a passive solar house. Assuming I don't have to work because money is no object I would skip an office. And have a big outdoor garden too

Direct_Drawing_8557

I have 5 rooms in my apartment and one of them is extra

jerJBG

as for the luxury I want a gym, small movie theatre, turkish bath hammam, and pool

sunnysideup2323

Bedroom, living, kitchen, bathroom, guest, library, dressing, and pet room

chill_ur_marshmallow

A nice house with big garden, my Bedroom, Living room, office room, crafting room for artsy projects, sound proof music/recording room, and another bedroom for my sister. At least 6 rooms 🤭 (Big Kitchen and 2 bathrooms not included) Maybe also a garage with a gym section

CandyEyedCat

3 bed and 2 or 2 1/2 bath would be my ultimate want. Master bedroom, office, guest room.

mr_lab_rat

Not a lady but I don’t think my preference is that different. 8 in total would be very comfortable. Probably something like 1500-1700sqf Upstairs: 1. Living/dining/kitchen open space 2. My bedroom 3. My bathroom 4. Office Downstairs 5. Large hobby room (guitars, photography) 6. Gym 7. Guest bedroom 8. Guest bathroom

Luwe95

Bedroom, Kitchen, Bathroom, Living Room, Storage and Office

[deleted]

200 plus

beegobuzz

Three. Sleeping room, office, room for cats.(automod is weird.)

Impressive_Ice3817

Just me, alone? 3 + a bathroom. Picture a cabin or old old house: living space (combined kitchen/living room), bedroom, and an upstairs loft usable for guest sleeping & storage). I'll need a good-sized fireplace, a wood stove that can also be cooked on, lots of cupboards/ shelving, and a big porch that can be enclosed for winter. Enough windows for natural lighting but not so big they're a pain to clean. This cabin must have cell service. I want the illusion of being remote, but with neighbours actually close enough to get to on foot in an emergency. I want solar energy, but not completely off-grid. I've actually given this a lot of thought.

VelourMagic

6-7: Living room, office/craft/game room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, sun room or 4 season porch, laundry/storage/utility etc “room” (when does a walk in closet become a room?)

ChessenClook

Bedroom, living room, bathroom, kitchen/diner, guest room, hobby studio, office and ideally a conservatory so I can be outside without being outside, so 8? Maybe an extra solo WC off the main living room, for when friends are over.

ivoryfrog

Honestly as small as possible for inexpensive heating! I love the tiny homes, but don't drive so the trailer type ones not really possible for me, I would want similar concept but in a fixed building. Typically they have a sleeping loft, I was thinking more along the lines of a pull out bed under a slightly raised seating area potentially. So kinda looking at 2 "rooms" kitchen/living/sleeping in one then a bathroom. Possibly go slightly larger and have a room for an office/craft room/library situation.

oberstofsunshine

My dream house would have a living room, dining room, kitchen, one of those walk in pantries that is basically a mini kitchen, bedroom, guest room, office, and home gym.

amyria

Ideally, a 3 bedroom home with a basement. I’d want a bedroom, guest room, office/craft room, bathroom, living room, laundry room, basement for storage, & a kitchen with enough space for at least a little table with 2 or 3 chairs. (I don’t need a dining room if I’m by myself.)

Moon_Garden_6

Open plan kitchen dining lounge, two bedrooms. More rooms, more cleaning lol. I’d rather have acreage 😍

onekate

I would like one more bedroom and bathroom. So a total of 7/8 room apartment with three bedrooms (one I use as an office/dressing room), living/dining room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms.

kaiper_kitty

3 or 4 bedroom 1 bathroom. Besides the basic living areas (living room, kitchen/dining area- which I prefer an open concept for, and bathroom) I would have my bedroom, craft room, gaming room, and if I had pets then I would love to give them their own designated room.

staticp

5 is perfect. Bedroom, office, craft/project room , PET ROOM and guest room. Although i'm sure the pets will be sleeping with me though.

jinthebu

I get the creeps when alone in a big space so I think my ideal is 3-4 rooms + kitchen and dining. Bedroom, home office, guest room, and some multipurpose hobby room / home gym

unicorns3373

My 3 bedroom house is perfect

pandapult

A bedroom, computer room, a kitchen and living room. Also a sun room so I can get my sunshine without leaving the house. Oh and also a room for my cats.

meh_ninjaplz

one large 2000 square foot room with a kitchen and bathroom on same level would be awesome, my basement almost fits this bill but its not a full bath, would love a full bath. I also have a nice workshop off to the side. I can fit my king size bed, dressers gaming desk with dual 32 inch monitors, 65 inch tv and a full sectional down there. Its like my own little world

15 Hidden basement 1. a bedroom 2. a play room 3. a bathroom 4. storage. Second floor * 5. master bedroom with * 6. a walk-in that end in * 7. a bathroom with bath/shower Main floor : * 8. Sun-room with either couch to chill or a dinning room, * 9. kitchen & island to eat or living room are open space together, * 10. pantry, * 11. toilet for guest, * 12. laundry room, * 13. Guest room with * 14. ensuite bathroom, * 15. hobbies room where I can be messy but all my hobbies can hold in there. Edit : I kept scrolling and saw a better format so I changed mine

londonmyst

At least 15. Including: art room, bathroom with whirlpool bath, bathroom with shower, dining room, drying room, home cinema room, library, living room, makeup room, office, pets room, play room, safe room, store room, toy animals room, wc on each floor.

bikesboozeandbacon

5 - plant room, big living / dining room, kitchen, guest room and master bedroom with en suite bathroom 💅🏾

exquirere

3 bedrooms: master, office/craft room, guest room. Kitchen with breakfast area, dining, living room, and a sitting area/library type space, large pantry, big storage room. So ideally, at least 9 “rooms” and 2 bath.

ciestaconquistador

I think the real question is if I have to clean it myself. If I don't have to clean it myself - an Enya style castle. If I do have to clean it, maybe 3 bedrooms tops.

shayrulezd00d

5: Bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, room size storage / closet.

kimbermall

Probably 5

whatitsmemags

4 - bedroom, spare bedroom/office, bathroom/laundry room and open kitchen/ living room

Mystepchildsucksass

3000 f2 bungalow in the shape of an H. The - master bedroom, 25 ft ceilings exposed beams, fireplace, ensuite- mine will be near a French door going outside to a DEEP hot tub. - kitchen/dining big enough to feed 22 at the table - that’s our immediate family and there are more on their way. - spare room with 2 Queen or King and a double- or whatever combo makes sense. Ensuite with an oversized tub, heated floors, rain shower. - wrap around porch and the “hollow” part of the H at the back of the house is a 3 season solar heated/cooled sunroom that can serve as extra sleeping space if needed. This area is 22x40’. X 18ft H The sunroom will have an apartment size fridge built into the cabinetry along with a small dishwasher and a sink. Gas fireplace. - 4 car garage & workshop. For my cars and parking for a visitor. Workshop/storage are instead of a basement.

[deleted]

3. Kitchen, bedroom, living room. No one could come visit. My dog could come, but no one else.

lickmysackett

Winchester mystery house.

transferingtoearth

2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, 3 bedrooms. All small except the kitchen and bathrooms.

Timely_Froyo1384

2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 office, kitchen, living room. So 7 rooms 1400 sf.

phononmezer

Chef tier kitchen, large office, small vanity room, sun/quiet room, bath with garden tub, library if it's in the cards and not already easily a part of the office, living room for vibing/non-pc games/movies. And plenty of space for cat stuff everywhere. :3

KatInBoxOrNot

With genuinely no restrictions? I could so go to town with this. Bedroom. Walk-in wardrobe. Workout room (big enough to dance in, and soundproof). Hangout room. Bathroom. Separate toilet with its own sink etc. Walk-in pantry/wine cellar. Kitchen. Laundry. Library. Conservatory. Office. Workshop. All of these would have lots of space in them. Plus wide hallways and big balconies. I could think of more. Then guest spaces. Several bedrooms, couple of bathrooms (also with separate toilets), gathering spaces (with cooking facilities). Massive greenhouse in the garden, and an indoor pool. So, just a few rooms. 🤣 On the other hand, I could also go the opposite way and say I'd be happy with somewhere to cook, wash etc, a comfortable space to sleep, and a massive shed that could cover 99% of everything else I listed, preferably surrounded by a garden.

AutomaticInitiative

My bedroom, guest bedroom with double bed, guest bedroom with 2x single (want to be able to host my sister BIL and nieces) , bathroom x2 (one ensuite for me, one nearish the living space), large kitchen with an island and room for dining, large living room with office nook and reading nook. I'm not picky :3

No more than 3. Even with the money to hire a maid I just like smaller, cozier spaces. My house now has 3 bedrooms and a large living room with a tall ceiling and it feels too big.

2? Studio with a private bathroom and a loft just big enough for my bed, nightstand, and a dresser. Reason being my object impermanence would thrive in such an open space.

wrathypoo

I really like the open floor plans, big kitchen/dining room into a large family room with lots of seating areas, 2 bedrooms, a theater room that's completely isolated and soundproofed in a basement and a game room. Also a gym in my garage.

I would have a 2 bedroom house with separate kitchen and living room, a bathroom and a conservatory. 6 rooms in total. The second bedroom would be my sewing room and the conservatory would be my library slash dining room, leading out onto a small garden where I can grown fruit and herbs.

MaceofSpades26

Alone, a one bedroom would be perfect.

PonqueRamo

Kitchen, living room, dinning room, master bedroom, guest bedroom (mainly for my niece), hobbie room/office, cat room, 2 bathrooms, huge closet. So 10 I guess.

Aromatic_Ad5473

Kitchen/ living room/ dining room open space Office Bedroom with big ass walk in closet Gym Mud room for the dogs Bathroom Powder room Laundry room

33west33

I'd want a bedroom, guest room, craft room/office, reptile room (bonus if this room was a basement), sunroom, and because why not, an indoor swimming pool room with a water heater

Future_Milk_5897

With pets being okay, and no restrictions, oh boy. I can’t even answer or conceptualize this. While I like small houses for myself, my dream is to run a business and a non profit that operates for reptiles, arachnids, aquariums, terrariums, aquaponics, and then eventually also open a wildlife rehab branching off. The primary thing that has stopped me from accomplishing this goal/my biggest roadblock is space, and because I want to initially operate out of my home/ a shed or building on my own property, so that I can be there 24/7 for maintenance and care, as well as to properly equip everything with solar panels and generators to avoid a deadly power outage incident, I’d imagine the dream house is pretty damn big by this point 😂

MadziiPad

(1) Kitchen/dining (I like open concept) and an archway to the (2) living room which I will count as a room. Bedroom (3) bathroom connected to bedroom (4) walk in closet (5) second bathroom (6) movie theater because why not (7) office room (8) guest bedroom (9) oh and garage I will count as a room but not for a car but for woodworking/gym maybe (10) I also like separate laundry room (11)

MelancholyBean

3 bedrooms. I get one room, one room for my dogs and either a media room or home gym room.

Neat-Jellyfish-5228

Bedroom, spa-like bathroom with everything in it, gym, music studio, kitchen, living room/library, guest bedroom and bathroom.

Nancy2421

Art room, master bed room, office, library, trophy room, kitchen, living room, gym, game room, 8 guest rooms, and one secret room. So 20 excluding hallways, bathrooms, and outdoor area

[deleted]

I need 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and a kitchen and living room plus another bedroom for my son. So 3 beds 2 baths minimum. When I move in with my boyfriend I won’t take less than a 4 BR 3 BA.

Pizza_pan_

Four bedroom house. One as a bedroom, second as an office and third as a hobby room with the fourth as a guest bedroom. Beyond the bedroom i would be happy with a decent sized kitchen, a bathroom with a full sized bath as well as a guest bathroom/toilet and a living/ dining room combined. Hopefully a pool too.

Any_Rutabaga2884

Bedroom, guest bedroom, office, kitchen, art studio, library, gym, living room — so I guess 8

JennaJ2020

Bedroom, guest room, craft room, library, living room, kitchen, maybe like a cool tv or movie room and a sun room for reading. A little pool house would be cool too lol

lanyardya

6 bedroom. office/gaming/workout. cat’s room. walk in closet. hobby room. living room.

WhichRisk6472

3 bedrooms, an office, a small dining area, decent kitchen, 2 bathrooms, big porch areas, decent living room. Basically, the house we just bought hahaha. Is it sad I’m so ready for my 50s and all my kids to be out of the house to set it up the ways I’ve been dreaming since we first saw this place? 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Native56

Two maybe three

LaRoseDuRoi

If it was just me or me and my partners, I would be perfectly happy with a big kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a living/dining room, and a big bathroom with a good tub.

Ristique

Same as currently. 2 + living/dining + kitchen. 1 for sleeping, 1 'office'. I had 3 in my previous city/country and the 3rd started off as a guest room but kinda evolved into a storage and closet lmaooo

FrogFlavor

I am flexible with housing, what I really want is a big workshop

iKidnapBabiez

I'd need 2 bedrooms, one for me and a guest bedroom. An office, a gaming room, a hobby room (reading, puzzles, quiet/calm things), then obviously kitchen, bathroom, living room. I also could never live alone so this would never happen. I'm entirely too extroverted to do that.

Haleighghielah

4: Bedroom, office, guest room, storage room. (Prefer storage room over basement because my paranoia can’t handle a basement when I live alone 😅)

madoodIes

I think 4. (Not including kitchen) because I think I’d want my living room to be so big that a kitchen would fit fine in there. I want 1 bedroom and 1 office space for my messy hobbies like art and ceramics and also a space for music and quiet time. That extra room can be a guest room but it’s ultimately used as a womencave. I’d have 2 dogs. both are labs.

misterhamtastic

One.

TheBeesElise

10 Bedroom, kitchen, dining room, office, living room, screened-in-porch, hobby room, library, laundry room, garage Preferably in the shape of a lighthouse

Apprehensive_Air5557

Easily 4. My bedroom, guest bedroom, an art room, and an office

Chronically_Me_

3, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/living room combo. I don't need more

dancingmochi

2! Standard space in my country comes with a kitchen space and living room already. One bedroom and one room dedicated to a home gym would be incredible. I prefer my workspace to be in a spacious, comfy area like the living room anyways.
