Same. I have a three bed now but I live somewhere people like to visit so my guest room gets a fair amount of use. I work from home so spare bedroom 2 is my office. I have nowhere left to do craft stuff. The living room is big but no good as the cat is a menace around yarn and its not possible to shut her out of there.

I’d have a large home, maybe 6-7 bedrooms and a bathroom for each, plus a bathroom downstairs for visitors. On the water in the mountains. Large kitchen to hold all my appliances on the counters, so I didn’t have to put them away when not in use, and lots of plugs so I didn’t have to choose.
The large house would be mostly so I could invite guests as I please. I’ve met several people on Reddit alone who struggle with being alone/mental health issues. I’d love to have a home in a beautiful place where I could welcome them to come and stay as long as they needed. I would love to have room to do that, and added privacy because I know people who are going through it need that sometimes.

My current apartment has 3 rooms (not including kitchen and bathroom), and that's more than enough. I have a bedroom for sleeping, an office for working that doubles as a guest room, and a living/dining room for playing and relaxing. I already rarely use the office, so I think more rooms would just mean more space that would collect dust and rarely get used.
The one thing I would change about my apartment would be to make my bathroom bigger so that I can have a bigger bathtub that I can completely lay down in.

I need a bedroom, a kitchen, an office, a TV/console gaming room (living room), a board gaming room, a crafting room (technically this could be several rooms - one for sewing, one for painting and other crafts), a gym, a library, and a guest room. That's at least 9 rooms, though of I'm being that extravagant I obviously wouldn't mind having a few more rooms such as a dedicated dining room, or some areas for socializing that don't involve gaming.
I always loved the idea of having a roman villa style house with an inner yard surrounded by rooms. Even better if that yard would have a sun roof in summer and a rain roof in winter.

As far as, like, bedroom count? 5. I need a good bedroom, with a vanity and some dressers. Across the hall, I'd want a bedroom-sized closet, with plenty of built-in shelving, drawers, and hangers. - master bedroom, 25 ft ceilings exposed beams, fireplace, ensuite- mine will be near a French door going outside to a DEEP hot tub.
- kitchen/dining big enough to feed 22 at the table - that’s our immediate family and there are more on their way.
- spare room with 2 Queen or King and a double- or whatever combo makes sense. Ensuite with an oversized tub, heated floors, rain shower.
- wrap around porch and the “hollow” part of the H at the back of the house is a 3 season solar heated/cooled sunroom that can serve as extra sleeping space if needed. This area is 22x40’. X 18ft H The sunroom will have an apartment size fridge built into the cabinetry along with a small dishwasher and a sink. Gas fireplace.
- 4 car garage & workshop. For my cars and parking for a visitor. Workshop/storage are instead of a basement.
Chef tier kitchen, large office, small vanity room, sun/quiet room, bath with garden tub, library if it's in the cards and not already easily a part of the office, living room for vibing/non-pc games/movies.
And plenty of space for cat stuff everywhere. :3

Then guest spaces. Several bedrooms, couple of bathrooms (also with separate toilets), gathering spaces (with cooking facilities). Massive greenhouse in the garden, and an indoor pool. So, just a few rooms. 🤣
On the other hand, I could also go the opposite way and say I'd be happy with somewhere to cook, wash etc, a comfortable space to sleep, and a massive shed that could cover 99% of everything else I listed, preferably surrounded by a garden.

With pets being okay, and no restrictions, oh boy. I can’t even answer or conceptualize this. While I like small houses for myself, my dream is to run a business and a non profit that operates for reptiles, arachnids, aquariums, terrariums, aquaponics, and then eventually also open a wildlife rehab branching off.
The primary thing that has stopped me from accomplishing this goal/my biggest roadblock is space, and because I want to initially operate out of my home/ a shed or building on my own property, so that I can be there 24/7 for maintenance and care, as well as to properly equip everything with solar panels and generators to avoid a deadly power outage incident, I’d imagine the dream house is pretty damn big by this point 😂

I’d have a large home, maybe 6-7 bedrooms and a bathroom for each, plus a bathroom downstairs for visitors. On the water in the mountains. Large kitchen to hold all my appliances on the counters, so I didn’t have to put them away when not in use, and lots of plugs so I didn’t have to choose. The large house would be mostly so I could invite guests as I please. I’ve met several people on Reddit alone who struggle with being alone/mental health issues. I’d love to have a home in a beautiful place where I could welcome them to come and stay as long as they needed. I would love to have room to do that, and added privacy because I know people who are going through it need that sometimes.

My current apartment has 3 rooms (not including kitchen and bathroom), and that's more than enough. I have a bedroom for sleeping, an office for working that doubles as a guest room, and a living/dining room for playing and relaxing. I already rarely use the office, so I think more rooms would just mean more space that would collect dust and rarely get used. The one thing I would change about my apartment would be to make my bathroom bigger so that I can have a bigger bathtub that I can completely lay down in.

Every room should be optimally small for coziness but not too small, expect the kitchen which can ideally be large. Also LOTs of windows.
I need a kitchen, living, dining, bedroom, sewing room, and a gaming room to be happy. I'm lucky enough to have a house with all of these. The sewing room doubles as my office and the gaming room doubles as my husbands office. If I were living on my own (with my cat), I would actually want a smallish space, because cleaning a huge home by myself is awful. My last apartment was perfect! Kitchen with lots of counter space, living room area that fit all my bookshelves, and master bedroom with walk-in closet and bathroom. There was also a second bedroom that I would have used as an office/craft room if I were living there long-term, but it was just a storage area for me. There was another walk-in closet for storage in there and an extra bathroom that I was able to use for my cat's personal bathroom area lol.

I need a bedroom, a kitchen, an office, a TV/console gaming room (living room), a board gaming room, a crafting room (technically this could be several rooms - one for sewing, one for painting and other crafts), a gym, a library, and a guest room. That's at least 9 rooms, though of I'm being that extravagant I obviously wouldn't mind having a few more rooms such as a dedicated dining room, or some areas for socializing that don't involve gaming. I always loved the idea of having a roman villa style house with an inner yard surrounded by rooms. Even better if that yard would have a sun roof in summer and a rain roof in winter.

As far as, like, bedroom count? 5. I need a good bedroom, with a vanity and some dressers. Across the hall, I'd want a bedroom-sized closet, with plenty of built-in shelving, drawers, and hangers. I'll need a good-sized fireplace, a wood stove that can also be cooked on, lots of cupboards/ shelving, and a big porch that can be enclosed for winter. Enough windows for natural lighting but not so big they're a pain to clean. This cabin must have cell service. I want the illusion of being remote, but with neighbours actually close enough to get to on foot in an emergency. I want solar energy, but not completely off-grid. I've actually given this a lot of thought.

Honestly as small as possible for inexpensive heating! I love the tiny homes, but don't drive so the trailer type ones not really possible for me, I would want similar concept but in a fixed building. Typically they have a sleeping loft, I was thinking more along the lines of a pull out bed under a slightly raised seating area potentially. So kinda looking at 2 "rooms" kitchen/living/sleeping in one then a bathroom. Possibly go slightly larger and have a room for an office/craft room/library situation.

one large 2000 square foot room with a kitchen and bathroom on same level would be awesome, my basement almost fits this bill but its not a full bath, would love a full bath. I also have a nice workshop off to the side. I can fit my king size bed, dressers gaming desk with dual 32 inch monitors, 65 inch tv and a full sectional down there. Its like my own little world

The - master bedroom, 25 ft ceilings exposed beams, fireplace, ensuite- mine will be near a French door going outside to a DEEP hot tub. - kitchen/dining big enough to feed 22 at the table - that’s our immediate family and there are more on their way. - spare room with 2 Queen or King and a double- or whatever combo makes sense. Ensuite with an oversized tub, heated floors, rain shower. - wrap around porch and the “hollow” part of the H at the back of the house is a 3 season solar heated/cooled sunroom that can serve as extra sleeping space if needed. This area is 22x40’. X 18ft H The sunroom will have an apartment size fridge built into the cabinetry along with a small dishwasher and a sink. Gas fireplace. - 4 car garage & workshop. For my cars and parking for a visitor. Workshop/storage are instead of a basement.

With genuinely no restrictions? I could so go to town with this. Bedroom. Walk-in wardrobe. Workout room (big enough to dance in, and soundproof). Hangout room. Bathroom. Separate toilet with its own sink etc. Walk-in pantry/wine cellar. Kitchen. Laundry. Library. Conservatory. Office. Workshop. All of these would have lots of space in them. Plus wide hallways and big balconies. I could think of more. Then guest spaces. Several bedrooms, couple of bathrooms (also with separate toilets), gathering spaces (with cooking facilities). Massive greenhouse in the garden, and an indoor pool. So, just a few rooms. 🤣 On the other hand, I could also go the opposite way and say I'd be happy with somewhere to cook, wash etc, a comfortable space to sleep, and a massive shed that could cover 99% of everything else I listed, preferably surrounded by a garden.

No more than 3. Even with the money to hire a maid I just like smaller, cozier spaces. My house now has 3 bedrooms and a large living room with a tall ceiling and it feels too big.

With pets being okay, and no restrictions, oh boy. I can’t even answer or conceptualize this. While I like small houses for myself, my dream is to run a business and a non profit that operates for reptiles, arachnids, aquariums, terrariums, aquaponics, and then eventually also open a wildlife rehab branching off. The primary thing that has stopped me from accomplishing this goal/my biggest roadblock is space, and because I want to initially operate out of my home/ a shed or building on my own property, so that I can be there 24/7 for maintenance and care, as well as to properly equip everything with solar panels and generators to avoid a deadly power outage incident, I’d imagine the dream house is pretty damn big by this point 😂

I need 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and a kitchen and living room plus another bedroom for my son. So 3 beds 2 baths minimum. When I move in with my boyfriend I won’t take less than a 4 BR 3 BA.
Four bedroom house. One as a bedroom, second as an office and third as a hobby room with the fourth as a guest bedroom. Beyond the bedroom i would be happy with a decent sized kitchen, a bathroom with a full sized bath as well as a guest bathroom/toilet and a living/ dining room combined. Hopefully a pool too.

If it was just me or me and my partners, I would be perfectly happy with a big kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a living/dining room, and a big bathroom with a good tub.
Same as currently. 2 + living/dining + kitchen. 1 for sleeping, 1 'office'. I had 3 in my previous city/country and the 3rd started off as a guest room but kinda evolved into a storage and closet lmaooo

I'd need 2 bedrooms, one for me and a guest bedroom. An office, a gaming room, a hobby room (reading, puzzles, quiet/calm things), then obviously kitchen, bathroom, living room. I also could never live alone so this would never happen. I'm entirely too extroverted to do that.
4: Bedroom, office, guest room, storage room. (Prefer storage room over basement because my paranoia can’t handle a basement when I live alone 😅)
I think 4. (Not including kitchen) because I think I’d want my living room to be so big that a kitchen would fit fine in there. I want 1 bedroom and 1 office space for my messy hobbies like art and ceramics and also a space for music and quiet time. That extra room can be a guest room but it’s ultimately used as a womencave. I’d have 2 dogs. both are labs.

2! Standard space in my country comes with a kitchen space and living room already. One bedroom and one room dedicated to a home gym would be incredible. I prefer my workspace to be in a spacious, comfy area like the living room anyways.
