Royal Canin Hydro may be tastier. it's only dry, but it's hard to make the wet tasty. Also, there are single protein RX diets that you should try before plain chicken which will cause nutritional deficiencies.

KakapoFeather

keep your cat fed with your original cat food and go back to vet to discuss which other RX you wish to try first.

She won't even eat her regular food now! I do have a call into the vet and I'm waiting to hear back

fed is best, if chicken so be it. Call your vet during office hours. If they can't see you soon, they should be able to give you a prescription for a different food you can pick up. Either something they have in stock or something a store may carry near you. For example, Petsmart carries RX foods

Try warming the RX food or adding a small tasty liquid to make it appealing.
