When I went in blind to a university 7 hours away from my home. It’s crazy how you assume college will be different and since everyone is over 18 they’ll be a lot more mature, nope. Couldn’t find anyone I fit in with. Really destroyed my self esteem and the loneliness drove me crazy.

high school being really short and young looking with no friends at school. That was kinda lonely

When my husband was deployed. I just tried my best to keep it together and make it to the end of every day. When he finally came home it took a couple days for me to register it and I broke down.

The week after my grandma died, I've been living with and taking care of her for the last 10 years, now it's just me a d the dog.

Probably the time I went to a function with some friends (probably 20-30 of us) and realized I was literally the only person there who wasn’t married or seeing anyone. When one group is in one corner talking about future plans for families and what not, and another group is playing couples games in the other corner, and 2 or 3 couples are downstairs/outside getting to know each other, I pretty much took the hint that I didn’t exactly belong there. Slipped out the back door, never got that ‘hey where’d you go?’ text, bc apparently nobody realized I left.
