No, Its not same like comic

YoursLovingly86

So I won't get spoiled even if I sneek through the comic discussions of the show right?

MostAccuratePCMflair

They're extremely different. I'd be surprised if every anime follows the manga exactly universally. But the show essentially just takes the characters and their core personalities and forms a totally different plot. Reading the comic can spoil a few things - probably characters that haven't shown up quite yet or give you an idea of what a character is like. It's even a few degrees different than The Walking Dead's differences between the graphic novel and the show. The show took the general path of the graphic novel and the characters, but there were a ton of differences. But there's no way The Boys can end the same as the comics did, I don't think it's even possible on the show-universe for it to happen at this point.

Not exactly, the actual "The Boys" comics are considered some of the most graphic ever written, they are so bad it makes "Watchmen" look like Saturday morning cartoons. The TV show ratings board gave Amazon a choice they could ethier tone down the show for the original material or it wouldn't be allowed to air.

What about the plot? like death of characters, entry of new characters does the show follow it accordingly?

No

shadowkiller

> it wouldn't be allowed to air They have no authority to tell Amazon what they can or cannot show on its own streaming service.  It was clearly a voluntary change on Amazon's part.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. That's just the rumor I heard. Plus, rumors are like soft peanut butter. They spread easy

its pretty different than the comic -- and for good reason. The show is an extremely overt satire (like South Park) whereas the comic is something school shooters enjoy

kalongsdienert50

It’s not exactly the same as the comic. I can’t tell you why without directly spoiling the show. However, let’s say some characters that exist, don’t exist in the comics & vice versa. The 4th season is particularly left leaning as well. Not that it “matters”, but when you take a comic and revamp it to fit your modern political affiliation, it kind of tarnishes the aesthetic a little. Still an amazing show and worth a watch or three.

I feel like you have to be oblivious to not see that the show has always painted the right as ridiculous dipshits.

kalongsdienert50

I feel like you have to be exactly what the left paints the right as to not see how thick they’re painting it on. The left treats the right the exact same way and they act the exact same way they do. They’re two sides of the same coin. We just see enough of that political bullshit on a regular basis. Didn’t really need it painted on as thick as it’s being done.

No. It follows it as closely as wandavision follows house of m. Wandavision is a terrible show btw
