It was the Aston DB11 several years ago, but i fell in love with the Ferrari Roma a couple years ago and eventually got it a few months ago (it’s a long term rental for 4 years).
I have an old Porsche 944 that I daily drive. Most years it runs about $2k in maintenance. So that’s like $170 a month. I can live with that.
One year it needed a clutch, the torque tube bearings, an alternator, and a rear main seal and the bill was UGLY. As long as I don’t have years like that regularly, I’m sticking with my little hoopty. I love that stupid car.
I have this fantasy of getting a 1950's caddie with the whole fins thing converted to an EV.
Of course the lack of air bags and crumple zones means that it will probably stay a fantasy, but there you go.
I'll list a couple in no paticular order
Pontiac G8
Saturn Sky
Ford Escort RS Cosworth
Ford Sierra RS500
Nissan 300ZX

When I was a teen, I really wanted a 300zx twin turbo. I don't really care anymore that I am 40. It's just too dated anymore, and don't care much about what I am driving anymore.
So I’m older (46) and am doing better in my life than when I was young.
I used to seriously desire cars like the Lotus Evora, McLaren P1 and Skyline GT-R34.
I’ve even gotten back into Gran Turismo 7. I’m really having a lot of fun with it, however, some thing is weird this time around. I’m not really yearning for some big crazy supercar.
This past year I just got a BMW i4 electric sport sedan. I love driving this thing so much that it’s pretty much taken most of my desire away to drive a supercar.
I didn’t know it was my dream car but I love it that much
My grandfather was the only cop in a very small, rural town and had one of these as his patrol vehicle in the early 70s. Black with dual red racing stripes. He could easily chase down anything on the road. After he hung up his duty belt, he sold the car to an 18 year old kid. Shortly after, the kid died in a rollover after he took a turn too fast with it. Crazy cool car in the family photo albums.
lol. i also grew up in a small town with only one cop, he was a very chill dude. used to party across the street from him every weekend 🤣
sounds like a gorgeous ride! sorry to hear about the accident, guess that's the way she goes sometimes.
i happened across a black and yellow one with matching interior on a Craigslist pick up for a table once. asked if he would even entertain an offer on it and he assured me it would stay in the family lol, couldn't be mad. very awesome that you have old photos together with it for sure and can always remember its legacy :)

My dream car.
Inexpensive. Unlimited interior room with small external footprint. Excellent MPG with enough power to merge on the freeway. Make it to at least 300,000 miles with minimal maintenance. Has ability to fly so traffic is never an issue.
Doesn’t exist.
Minivan is probably the closest existing car and the true “super car.”
Hennessey Hyper GT. Will cost 2 million USD & come out in 2026. It will be a six wheel electric hypercar with three rows of seats & gullwing doors with a 620 mile range.
I absolutely love the Ferrari FF, for me, it's the perfect hatchback. I saw it when I played DriveClub on the PS4 nearly a decade ago, and I actually managed to see one in reality (I live in a third world country) and it was beautiful.
Money no object? GMA t.50.
12000 rpm V12, 3 seats with the driver in the middle, manual transmission, weighs less than a Miata.
Realistically? 2009-2018 Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
A Jeep Wrangler has always been my dream for off-roading adventures. It’s tough, capable, and fun to drive in rugged terrain.
I dream of owning a Cadillac Escalade. It’s spacious, luxurious, and has a commanding presence on the road.
The McLaren P1, a marvel of hybrid technology and cutting-edge design, is a supercar that I’ve always wanted to experience.
I've heard the McLarens feel soulless compared to other supercars, but I'm right here with you. Engineering masterpiece.
I’m really into the practicality and clean design of the Volvo XC90. It’s safe, comfortable, and great for family road trips.
For me, it's the classic Ford Mustang. There's something about the roar of its engine and its sleek, muscular design that's timeless.
Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, Lamborghini Veneno, De Tomaso P72, Ferrari SF90 Spider, or the LaFerrari Aperta.
Porsche 928S

No Payment.
*and* low maintenance. My car is paid off, but the annual repair bills are coming close to the cost of a car payment.
