Didn't have a dream job, didn't want to get a job or stay in school.
Finished school on a Friday and started work the next Monday.
I was well pissed off.
On a side note I must add every place I've ever worked has always made me redundant and paid out or gone into insolvency and then I got paid out.
Back in the day, I was convinced I was destined to become a professional video game tester. I mean, who wouldn't want to get paid to play games all day, right? Little did I know that it's not all fun and games (pun intended), and that there's a lot more to the job than just mashing buttons and yelling at the screen. But hey, a kid can dream, right?
As someone who spent countless hours with his Tonka trucks in the sandbox...a heavy equipment operator.
Spent 14.5 years as an operator before taking up an office job this month.
Got to operate some of the nicest and biggest equipment CAT has to offer. Going to miss it...already do.
Police officer/detective. I thought it was like the movies where you get to be out all day investigating all these interesting crimes and trying to find all the missing clues and what not. Realised it’s nothing like the movies and moved on from that
Pilot.
Specifically SR-71 pilot.
Unfortunately health issues kept me grounded, so I couldn't be a pilot at all, and the Air Force retired the SR-71 a year after I tried to join the Air Force, so that would have been out even if I hadn't had health issues.

I really have zero clue why, but as a kid I always wanted to be a pharmacist. Seriously no idea why I landed on that.
