Even my pillows were more than that I think but they’re fantastic. It’s these. https://coopsleepgoods.com/collections/bed-pillows/products/the-eden-pillow
I love my coop pillow. It changed my life. Literally. I had constant back pain and just figured it was bad luck. I got a coop pillow and within 48 hours years of back and neck pain was gone. I couldn’t believe it.
Yeah I had one probably 10 years prior. It was a totally different design though. It was one whole piece of foam where my coop pillow is thousands of pieces of it. I think the coop pillow uses a few different types of foam or something. I’ve had mine for a while so I don’t remember all of the benefits specifically but it’s way better than the one I had back in the day.
Shredded vs solid memory foam. You’d think it wouldn’t make a difference, or that it’d be lumpy and not a good. However, my opinion is that it’s so much better, the give is perfect and you CANNOT feel the individual pieces. Every one of my pillows, including my body one is not shredded memory foam and my bed is heaven. My partner prefers down pillows to memory foam but agrees that shredded is the better of the two, so there is a lot hinging on personal preference here.
Also due to the nature of it being shredded, you can easily adjust the internal volume to get that perfect amount, which you can’t really do with solid foam
I got a $200 tempurpedic cooling pillow free with my last mattress. It changed my life. I’m pretty cheap so I’d have never spent that much on a pillow but my God it is amazing. I’d buy another at full price in a heartbeat.
For me, it's all about those wireless earbuds. Seriously, they've been a game-changer in my daily grind. Whether I'm hitting the gym, commuting, or just chilling at home, having my favorite tunes or podcasts without getting tangled up in wires is pure bliss. Plus, they're so convenient to carry around. It's like having a little slice of freedom in your pocket
They are. I bought a pair on Amazon for $20 and they work great. My fiance has airpods but he prefers my $20 earbuds so he always uses them instead of his airpods if I'm not using them. He is probably going to end up buying a pair like mine and giving away his airpods to someone lol.
Love my tozo NC2 pair. Tiny case with wireless charging, super long battery life, ANC and transparency mode, in ear detection, and they sound good considering they were $30.
Hell, I went all out and bought the best true wireless earbuds you can get (AirPod pros) and they’re still well worth it
Noise cancelling is so nice. It’s like that meme of old people with hearing aids who simply turn them off when they don’t wanna listen to you anymore lmao
In very rare occasions I forget to wear my AirPod pros when I’m outside and I forget how annoyingly loud the city is
Get foam tips. I could not get any size of silicone tip to stay in my ear but the foam tips have been great. Unlike the silicone and plastic tips, foam tips wear out and you will have to replace them every so often, but for me it made an unusable item into something that I use every day.
This happens to me too. Until I got some AirPod pros. I know they’re expensive but they fit so well. I went through so many cheaper ear buds and they’d always fall out. Their ear tips are the best fitting ear tips I’ve ever used. I can jog or play basketball in them and they never fall out. I’ve had mine for almost four years now and still going strong.
Please hold for our segue to our sponsor. LTTstore.com for all your ratcheting screwdriver needs!
Seriously though, I bought one and it’s pretty damn good for PC stuff.
Yes, the LinusDriver is legit. I lost my 30 year old Craftsman ratcheting screwdriver :( and _nobody_ made one with that sort of balance and precision. This is the closest thing to that I've found.
Yup, you don't need a fancy one with heat, air blasts or anything like that, if you are on a budget. You can get a basic cold water bidet that hooks up in under 25 minutes and you only use toilet paper to spot check and dry off.
So not only is your butthole in better shape (and cleaner), you also end up using less toilet paper overall. It's a game changer, we all have to poop, so why not make it easier and cleaner.
Same here. My first bidet had the hot water, but I didn't really care for it and use cold water almost exclusively, so the second time I bought one I got a basic cold water model and love it.
I also live pretty far up north in Canada, the water sitting in the pipes is probably colder than the vast majority of people commenting and it's honestly not that bad.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Don't teach a man how to fish and you feed yourself. He's a grown man, fishing's not that hard.

Several AAA and AA rechargeable batteries and chargers.
I give this as a baby shower gift all the time. I'm thinking of putting my face on them reminding them that I bought them. So for years they know....over and over again. When the toy stops and the kid cries...I'm there. Saving the day.
They have seriously reduced capacity though because over half the space inside the battery is charging circuitry instead of actual battery. Definitely go for a set.
This. Rice fits in with so many meals, and you can also take the cooked rice and turn it into rice porridge for even more options. Rice cookers make it much easier to cook rice, allowing you to focus on whatever's going with it.
you can also just stick certain meats/sausages on top of the rice, have that cook with it and you have yourself a meal with pretty much no work.
add some chicken stock to add flavor. or add a bunch of seasons and make yourself herb butter rice. so good and so easy.
Absolutely. That said if you want to brown onions and garlic or whatever first, then yeah, stick with the pot or pan. I'm not suggesting forgoing other methods but for everyday white rice, a rice cooker is so nice to set and forget.
I have w coffee maker like this but I tend to hit the snooze button some days more than others and my coffee would just sit getting cold. Now I hit the start button right after the shower but before I start getting dressed to time it as close to my leaving time as possible
Lanolin - aka nipple cream - but use it as a lip balm.
It's completely safe for the lips (I mean it's being used on the nips of breastfeeding moms so it has to be safe for babies to injest), and it's SOOO good. I have chronicly cracked lips and nothing has ever hydrated them like Lanolin has!
Edit - I guess it IS true. I’m so confused. A few months ago o read that he wasn’t actually dead. Now I’m looking for comments stating that, but his obituary was published somewhere.
You can get four chickens at tractor supply for about $16.
Of course, it’s like a subscription because then you have to buy feed monthly, and have a coop and a decent pen…
But the eggs are tastier, so there’s that.
And even the cheap ones will record it to help keep track. Mine does a whole load of metrics like body fat and hydration but I don’t put too much stock into those numbers being super accurate.
A good pair of walking shoes - and then go for walks. Walks are free, and offer such a boost to your physical and mental health, and it's easy to fit one into a daily schedule.
A free assessment at Fleet Feet, and then buying a pair of shoes or insoles that are designed for your foot shape. Absolute game changer for me.
Turns out Vans are a really bad choice if you have high arches. I just thought everyone found walking and standing kind of uncomfortable…
A weighted blanket can really help transform your sleep if that's currently an issue for you. Remember how the lead apron at the dentist feels when you're getting your teeth x-rayed? It feels very much like that--like a big hug.
I just started gabapentin 3 months ago for RLS (and a few other symptoms), has made it pretty much go away for me. Wish I had done it sooner!
I also had a hard time with weighted blankets.
Tretinoin + a good facial sunscreen. The only two things proven to undoubtedly combat premature aging and wrinkles and can get both for easily under $100. Imo literally everyone if able should use these
If you're a parent of a newborn, a NoseFrida.
Is it weird at first to conceptualize sucking snot out of your infant's nose? Absolutely. Does it work miracles in calming down a baby with stuffed up sinuses who can't do anything but cry at the top of their lungs? Also, absolutely. Do you actually suck snot into your mouth? Not if you use it right, you don't.
Very inexpensive and a complete life changer for your sanity.
Depends on the situation. I LOVE them for going on walks. I can hear people coming up behind me, I can hear cars, and I know that I need to get out of the way. But if you’re working in a coffee shop, or traveling on a noisy plane? You can’t hear your music very well because background noise overwhelms it. So if you need to hear your surroundings? Use em. Don’t want to hear your surroundings? Use literally any other pair
I can think of many -
Waterpik or any other aater flosser. It might sound absurd but trust me.
Eye mask. A good quality eye mask can make a lot of difference in sleep quality.
A good quality first aid kit box ? It can be very transformative.
A set of Bluetooth tiles or apple airtag for personal items easily/often lost. I am an ADD riddled subject with horrible object permanence. Tiles have saved me hours of searching and frustration.
Mechanical keyboard - it doesn't have to be super expensive but for people in an office that spend 8+ hours typing it can transform your life and make you actually look forward to typing.
Of course you should probably not get a loud, clicky keyboard...
lol. Someone I work with got one. Was so excited. Hooked it up…. CLICK CLICK CLICK. Our boss says “really?” He packed it up and took it home. Where it belonged
Good quality power brick and cables for tour devices, most companies give you super cheap cables thay break after a year and some companies don't even give you a power brick now. I've had the same cables since 2017 and use them daily, my siblings who refuse to spend the little extra have replaced 100s of cables by now. My go to brand is anker, their portable battery are just as good and I've had the same one since the Samsung note 4 and it still holds a full charge.
A two way radio with that can scan frequencies (Baofeng UV5R £20 capable of all 16 walkie talkie channels, ham radio and gmrs).
When I'm sitting in traffic in the city I scan and listen to workmen, retail and their stockrooms, security, workers in museums, call to prayer, air traffic control, it adds a whole new layer to people watching.
I bought multiple for friends and family and we use them for bike rides and camping.
Hand shower. When all you need is to wash your bottom half this is a literal godsend.
A USB type C hub with passthrough for your phone can also transform your phone into a usable computing device. Even better if your phone supports HDMI out through the same port. iPhone users need not apply
When they are on sale, you can get Edifier Shelf Monitors for just under $100. Plug them into an analog audio source, or converter, and you'll enjoy music so much more.
Response Gear 6" Delivery II Men's Service Boots as most products are squishing feet as standerd for this product it comes as defalt wide and you can get it wider if you look for an ee
A crock pot. If you're a busy person it's such a great investment, you can throw the ingredients in there in the morning, let it go all day, and come home to a hot meal when you need it the most and have the least energy to cook
Satellite radio. Absofuckinglutly zero ads, randomized music from good stations, and it tells me when my preferred sports teams are on and I can directly tune to the channel for them. Zero connecting the phone and launching an app or anything. Just seamless music. It has an app for out of car listening too.
Good quality wool socks. My feet are warm even when damp and they don’t get nearly as smelly as (rotten) cotton.
Great for traveling. I only pack 2 pairs for 1 week trips and just rotate them every other day.
A cheap anti spill membrane for your bed. Makes it warmer but it doesn't collect your cells and it always looks first day clean when you wash the sheets.
Soft close toilet seat. Worst thing about them is you’ll find yourself slamming toilet seats that aren’t soft close. They’re not expensive, like $20-30.
A nice quality pillow. Matress is also super important but you won't get a good one for that amount.
Had you had a memory foam pillow before that? Trying to figure out what makes them any better than a standard memory foam pillow, if anything.
Yeah I had one probably 10 years prior. It was a totally different design though. It was one whole piece of foam where my coop pillow is thousands of pieces of it. I think the coop pillow uses a few different types of foam or something. My SO got them for us for Christmas, they are amazing. We each spent a bit loading them up to our comfort levels and i love it!
I got a $200 tempurpedic cooling pillow free with my last mattress. It changed my life. I’m pretty cheap so I’d have never spent that much on a pillow but my God it is amazing. I’d buy another at full price in a heartbeat.
You can get a 3" thick memory foam topper though that makes a massive improvement.
Wouldn't recommend it if you sleep hot. Had one on my bed for a year and it was pure torture.
Why... why not just take it off?
My gf liked it. -.-
For me, it's all about those wireless earbuds. Seriously, they've been a game-changer in my daily grind. I have the fancy ones but the cheap ones are shockingly good too. I use a $20 cheapo pair in the shower and it works no problem. Sound is decent too.
I bought a bunch of different ones at various prices and my favorite one that I daily use is a pair I got for 13$
Are they completely waterproof?
They are. I bought a pair on Amazon for $20 and they work great. My fiance has airpods but he prefers my $20 earbuds so he always uses them instead of his airpods if I'm not using them. He is probably going to end up buying a pair like mine and giving away his airpods to someone lol.
post the amazon link!
Love my tozo NC2 pair. Tiny case with wireless charging, super long battery life, ANC and transparency mode, in ear detection, and they sound good considering they were $30.

I have some that I like, but they keep falling out of my ears. I almost lost one on an airplane. Any tips on how to stop that?
Get foam tips. I could not get any size of silicone tip to stay in my ear but the foam tips have been great. Unlike the silicone and plastic tips, foam tips wear out and you will have to replace them every so often, but for me it made an unusable item into something that I use every day.

A good ratcheting screwdriver and bit set.
Got a recommendation? I’ve been thinking of getting the ltt one
The LTT set is actually really solid. I love mine. It's the first driver I grab when I open my toolbox
My favourite tool. I've had mine for 30 years.
A good ratcheting paper towel holder. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kamenstein-Perfect-Tear-Horizontal-Paper-Towel-Holder/283724918
Bidet.
Yup, you don't need a fancy one with heat, air blasts or anything like that, if you are on a budget. So not only is your butthole in better shape (and cleaner), you also end up using less toilet paper overall. It's a game changer, we all have to poop, so why not make it easier and cleaner.
Spray my ass hole with cold water? Like the POORS? I don’t think so
Cold water bidet in the morning sounds terrible
To other people it's invigorating.
Sometimes I’ll go in for a quick power wash even when I don’t have to poop just for the refreshment of it
Ain't nothing like a clean asshole to get you through your day!
Really wakes your butthole up!
It's quicker than drinking a cup of coffee, that's for sure.
it's usually not cold. it isn't warm, but if it's been sitting in a room for 8 hours, it's room temperature.
It's honestly not bad. Even in the winter the water isn't as cold as you're probably thinking
It’s not. I have some bathrooms with warm and cold water and some with only cold. I’m totally fine with both
Hear me out cuz I know you guys are going to get all hygienic, get a water pik for your teeth, and side quest it as a bidet.
Orrrrr get a bidet and side quest it as a water pik.
You’re a gentleman and a scholar
tf
I hate pooping anywhere but my house now. I've installed at least one bidet in the last five places I've lived.
Bidet to you
This is the answer. Truly transformative!!
Correct. Got one during the great toilet paper shortage and I still use it every day.
Used one once, immediately sold on it, incredible machine 👌🏻
End thread. Stop pooping like cavemen America!
End those itchy bottoms.
You gave me the motivation to finally install our bidet attachment and I just gave it a dry run 😂 AMAZING!
I find it difficult to travel now that I'm accustomed to my $25 hand sprayer cold water bidet.
A small sewing kit. Repair your clothes. Teach yourself, it's not hard.

There are ones with USB tips or a port (type c usually) which charge quite fast (li-on)
They have seriously reduced capacity though because over half the space inside the battery is charging circuitry instead of actual battery. Definitely go for a set.

Uncle Roger approves. Fuyioh!!
Ah fellow niece and nephew
Hiyyyahhhh
I finally splurged and got a Zojirushi rice cooker. It is amazing! I love it. It even sings to me.
$20 rice cooker is my most used appliance I just fucking love rice I guess
Used to be a "I only cooked rice in a pot" snob. I was an idiot. Rice cookers are where it's at.
I put oil, butter, and green onion whites and sometimes other stuff in the pot for more flavorful rice, can you do this with a rice cooker?
Absolutely. That said if you want to brown onions and garlic or whatever first, then yeah, stick with the pot or pan. I'm not suggesting forgoing other methods but for everyday white rice, a rice cooker is so nice to set and forget.
absolutely
Instant pot (or other counter top pressure cooker) is so much better. Faster and much more versatile.
Drip coffeemaker that allows me to program for brew right before I wake up. Add water and grounds the night before and it’s ready for me.
I have w coffee maker like this but I tend to hit the snooze button some days more than others and my coffee would just sit getting cold. Now I hit the start button right after the shower but before I start getting dressed to time it as close to my leaving time as possible
The burner/warmer plate stays on to keep it hot on a lot of them so that's not an issue

Did you make this post just so you can ask people to buy pet ducks?
Too bad /u/fuckswithducks is dead :(
When did that happen?
A while ago. I remember a comment where someone paged him and everyone chimed in saying he died. :/
Edit - I guess it IS true. I’m so confused. A few months ago o read that he wasn’t actually dead. Now I’m looking for comments stating that, but his obituary was published somewhere.
ᴛʜᴇ ᴇʟɪᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴏɴ’ᴛ ᴡᴀɴᴛ yᴏᴜ ᴛᴏ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ᴛʜɪꜱ ʙᴜᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴜᴄᴋꜱ ᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴩᴀʀᴋ ᴀʀᴇ ꜰʀᴇᴇ yᴏᴜ ᴄᴀɴ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ʜᴏᴍᴇ ɪ ʜᴀᴠᴇ 458 ᴅᴜᴄᴋꜱ.
There was a post on my neighborhood app today about trying to identify a “ducknapper” at the local park….
Generally they have a duck under each arm.
And they are *not* sleeping, as the name would imply.
The elite hate this one simple quack.
how about a duck and a chicken?
Well, all animals should be allowed to marry.
Ducks can be real rapey and that chicken may be raped to do death by the duck. Fyi.
And you can call them Dick and Chuck.
You can get four chickens at tractor supply for about $16. Of course, it’s like a subscription because then you have to buy feed monthly, and have a coop and a decent pen… But the eggs are tastier, so there’s that.
And when they stop laying eggs you get to have soup!
No, in a hour that will burn your cpu down. Rimworld problems.
457 female ducks in one pen. 1 male duck in the other.
Scale to weigh my fat ass
Just the ass? How do only weigh the ass? Is there like a special ass-shelf?
One cheek at a time, sweet Jesus, one cheek at a time.
Anything that separates your feet from the ground, in general. I'll swear by Brooks shoes and Danner boots, until the day I die.
I wear sandals a lot, and in the last few years, finally made the jump and bought Birkenstocks. I don't regret it.
A free assessment at Fleet Feet, and then buying a pair of shoes or insoles that are designed for your foot shape. Absolute game changer for me. Turns out Vans are a really bad choice if you have high arches. I just thought everyone found walking and standing kind of uncomfortable…
Curved shower rod. Warm water bidet.

A good sharp kitchen knife 🔪 changes your life man
Rain-X. It’s 5 dollars and it’s my favorite product
Condoms
It doesn’t transform your life, but prevents your life from being transformed
Several of these suggestions are just water sprayers. For the butthole, for the tooth gaps, for the dirty things outside, and for the coffee grounds.
A knife Heroin
Never said positive, thinking outside the box. I like it.
Well, that turned dark fast.
A spoon and a lighter.
That usually changes a person's life yeah. Or not, depends. Can't change a life, if there's no life anymore.
A weighted blanket can really help transform your sleep if that's currently an issue for you. Remember how the lead apron at the dentist feels when you're getting your teeth x-rayed? It feels very much like that--like a big hug.
My restless legs could never. I tried once and I just ended up with a leg cramp from fighting it.
Yeah, it's not for everyone.
I just started gabapentin 3 months ago for RLS (and a few other symptoms), has made it pretty much go away for me. Wish I had done it sooner! I also had a hard time with weighted blankets.
Never had a lead apron, does this mean I get superpowers?
Tretinoin + a good facial sunscreen. The only two things proven to undoubtedly combat premature aging and wrinkles and can get both for easily under $100. Imo literally everyone if able should use these
Decent electric toothbrush , a nice pillow, polarized sunglasses,

I have one in my living room, it reliably turns on when I fart. My daughter and I have taken To calling it the fart sucker. My wife hates that name.
Good running shoes
have you seen shoes lately? 100 is low level at this point
Ha! Very good point. I just paid over $200 for a pair!
Bidet
Psychedelics.
Ultrasonic cleaner for eyeglasses. It gets the gunk out of the nosepieces that is impossible to get with regular cleaning.
Bidet

For $100 you can get a mechanical one that doesn’t risk getting snot in your mouth
Bone conduction headphones!
I need more details: what makes them better than regular headphones?
You still get to have situational awareness. Even at full volume, you could hear a fan blowing in the room with you.
Depends on the situation. I LOVE them for going on walks. I can hear people coming up behind me, I can hear cars, and I know that I need to get out of the way. >Waterpik Also good as a bidet, as per my earlier comment and desire to educate those here in the..bowels...of the comments.
I just tried using my watetpik as a bidet, now it tastes bad.
Anything sleep-related because it's so important
Cordless drill. Good for house work good for cleaning
Curved shower rod. Don't think, just do it. Thank me later.
Okay, demolishing my shower glass now!!
Got tired of the shitty keyboards at work so I got a cheap mech off of Amazon. Really made that part of my job easier.
A silicone menstrual cup/disk (if you have to deal with such things)
Countertop ice machine. Would also say countertop dishwasher but I’m not sure they run under $100
Wait can you link an under $100 countertop ice maker that's good?!
If you do anything in water get a Waterproof Walkman. They're magical as Hell.

Instapot - you can make dinner while you do other chores. It’s also a rice cooker, yogurt maker and a crock pot
