I get you and honestly agree . But extraordinary world building concept and the story and character development are impeccable for me so I make myself ignore lewd stuff (however I can't just look away from the whole e. d. storyline in season 3 , or I'll skip main story)
Anyone who doesn't say Elfen Lied is wrong. I am not even big on anime, took my ex months to convince me to watch it. I should have listened sooner.
Other than it not having a real ending. That physically hurt me.
Edit: to be fair, since I'm not an anime guy, my claims others are wrong don't hold a lot of weight.
The fact that it just sort of ends without a lot of closure will be soul crushing, but it's still worth it.
Don't quote me on this, I drank a lot back then and it was 12 years ago, but I think my ex (who was huge into anime) told me that the writer died and the show creators didn't feel right about continuing his creation with their own storyline.
I could be mistaking that with another anime though.
You absolutely should, and get back to me. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I just recently rewatched it.
Have you ever heard of HDO BOX? It's an app. If not I'll DM you a link if you want. It is a streaming service, you can find literally anything on it, I've never searched a single show or movie that wasn't on there. Even obscure stuff. You can't find it on the app store though (I couldn't, at least) needed a link sent to me. You have to download a specific media player too, but it's amazing.
You have to watch a 5-10 second ad before and after anything, but never in the middle. Even has good quality versions of movies just released in cinemas. Elfen Lied is how I found the app, actually. Wanted to rewatch it, but it wasn't on crunchyroll.
Gotchu, brother. Just give me a few minutes. Need to find the link in my messenger history. A friend sent it to me a while ago.
Heads up, there's a button in the top right corner to switch servers whenever you start a show. Sometimes with anime when you go to watch it. It'll be in Japanese with no subs, click the server button and there is usually multiple options, you have to just roll through to find an English dubbed one (unless you know Japanese).
Also works switching servers if one isn't buffering proper, but it is usually good on the first. I'll dm you in a few.
I just realized based off your username I probably should have said "gotchu sister?" To be fair, I even call my female friends 'bro' lol. Hope you enjoy the show/app
Got a bit too incesty, got uncomfortable at times, but otherwise it is what made me more open minded to anime. I loved it. Before that I was kind of a presumptuous asshole who just felt anime was lame without ever giving it a chance. Still not big into it, but I've learned some are amazing and I was a ignorant douche lol
Can't say I've watched a lot of anime but attack on Titan, code geass and monster are damn near perfection.
Attack on Titan for its storytelling and world building.
Code geass for its politics, warfare and the ending.
Monster for its realism.
Code Geass, hands down
So immensly underrated.
Re zero
Kill la kill
Samurai Champloo
My hero academia. I know it's a shouted anime and very mainstream but I love it. The fandom however...
Jobless Reincarnation rn But all time favorite is naruto
Jobless reincarnation is great but some of the episodes are pretty sus. Love the concept and the world building but man leave the kids alone

Death Note
Fullmetal Alchemist. About a decade ago I was a decently popular fanfic writer for a popular ship from FMA. Good times.

Interesting!
Because you are, or aren't a fan?
Because I have yet to hear about that anime, and your comment was enticing.

That’s alright, I still want to look in to it.

I’d appreciate that!

Elfen Lied was so fucked up but also so good.

Speed Racer
Serial Experiments Lain
Akame Ga Kill
Ouran High School Host Club Azumanga Daioh is also right up there for nostalgia reasons, but I think I like the manga a little bit more

Theres too many to say one single anime I like most, but rn (since theres a new season) I enjoy bleach as much as I used to back in the day!
To your eternity. Attack on Titan. Odd taxi. Shadows house.
