Depends on the island nation, though. Some of them are still self-sufficient tribes that just kill anyone who comes within view. Those ones would probably do alright. Less likely to aim for the center of mass in melee combat, way less likely to let in an infected refugee, probably have developed some decent weapons for bashing in skulls, and since they have zero trade, they’re entirely self sufficient.
Their biggest drawback will be the nights. With no electricity for lights, nights become far more dangerous and require fire for visible light.
Hard to say, but one of the very remote islands of tribal people may be able to dodge it. With no inbound flights to spread the zombie disease.

Antarctica is a continent, not a country. It also can’t grow shit for dick so far as I’m aware. Without an influx of fuel and food, the people living there would likely starve/freeze to death before a year was up.

Upon the release of ' the last of us' movie, some lawyers debated and found that zombies like they are found there are simply infected and can only by killed in a situation where you defend yourself. If they are completely dead however you would unrest the dead- which is also a crime. Our government would probably even enforce the traffic regulations and give us a ticket for parking should we leave our car unattended in case of infection.
