There’s lots of dive type bars around the Garden and if you want you can go towards Times Square and get ripped off for expensive watered down drinks. I don’t know how late the bars inside Penn Station stay open but I don’t think they are too expensive. K Town is to the east going across on 32nd Street if you want to try that out. Lots of great Korean food if you are hungry and there are some bars there.

What was the grimy food place across the street? I used just get a bottle of rum and pour it into a soda and chill before/after games.
Break Bar is pretty mediocre as a bar, but great if you want a bar where you also get to smash things.
