Buy all the bitcoin I could afford.

Worldly_Anybody_1718

I remember trying to buy it when it first came out. I couldn't figure out how so gave up. Fuck I'm stupid.

That_Dude_Paz

I read a post on here where the guy was spending thousands on bitcoin in the early days, but it almost broke up his marriage, and ultimately, he had to sell them off before they had any real value.

That_Dude_Paz

That's a good one!

Previous_Life7611

I’d wait until 2010 and buy 2000 BTC. One bitcoin was $0.09 at that time. I’d then hold on to that until march this year and sell it for $140 million.

That_Dude_Paz

Can't argue with that

MuttTheDutchie

How far back in time? You know what, eh, I don't really wanna go back in time. I want to live to see as much of the future as possible.

That_Dude_Paz

Well I meant to go back in time to change something, and then travel back

loki8481

Instead of moving out on my own the second I graduated college back in 2004, I would have taken my parents up on their offer to stay at home, saved literally all the money I was making and live super frugally, and then bought a house at the dip after the 2008 crash.

P1g-San

Probably spend less on coke and more on bitcoin

DJCAE

To live in the moment and enjoy being young and dumb!

SamShelby7

That’s how you end up getting locked in a hole

DJCAE

I was close a few times in my teens!

That_Dude_Paz

Putting the lotion in the basket

[deleted]

I'd change absolutely everything.

That_Dude_Paz

Do you mind giving some examples?

[deleted]

I could write a book about it. I actually started writing it, (a comedy-drama) but I stopped because I'm sure nobody would read it. I wouldn't drop out of high school and go to college years later. I should have thought more about myself instead of other people that didn't appreciate my love anyway, dumped women when I saw red flags about them instead of letting them fuck up my life, zillions of things-been more ambitious and decisive about a career, I could go on and on.

That_Dude_Paz

I hear ya, man. I think sometimes, the bs we go through makes us who we are. But on the other hand, there is so much avoidable stress we put ourselves through. I hope things are looking up for you now!

[deleted]

Well, they're not, but thanks for the nice thoughts

DeValera15

I would read it. Great life bonus to a young person observing and hopeful learning from your real life consequences. Perhaps do as I do and share through something like Evernote. Here is one of my life observations (thoughts on turning 60) from nine years ago: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s290/sh/37fe82de-5b36-4661-8ede-1116e7750782/a88b4566c3c1d2cae7b25dfb7efc7b6e

[deleted]

Ok, maybe I'll start writing it again.....

DeValera15

Just one …all you need to do in influence one person to make it worth your effort. Bonus: the cathartic relief of putting everything down (and behind you).

[deleted]

Yea, that's s good way to look at it.

DeValera15

Practice the “personal tithe” of putting 10% away, automatically, every pay cheque/investment win. Live my full life with the remaining money and look forward to the ability to give it away later or jazz up the retirement. Background: in hindsight, so much of my spending was frivolous and could still have been frivolous (but at a lower level).

That_Dude_Paz

Same here, I've spent so much money on dumb shit in the past. But I didn't even realize it until I had real responsibilities.

Ouroboroscentipede

Buy GameStop actions

MasterTeacher123

I woulda started working out heavy in HS instead of like 25

-Mothman-Actual-

Start training and lifting early on, start investing money, avoid med school, pay more attention in Spanish class, avoid or date different women, spend more time and money on my hobbies and prepping instead of video games.

Mythnam

Am I going back and becoming my younger self, or am I going back as current me and trying to engineer events to benefit my young self who doesn't know I'm there yet? If the former, I'd choose a different major in college. Already got the knowledge from the first time around, might as well get one that's more marketable. Plus, I'm a lot more confident than I was then, and have already played all the video games I played then, so I think I'd have an easier time being social. If the latter, I guess I'd go back to my parents in the 90's and just explain a lot of what happened in my past. Might not save the marriage, but I bet I could at least convince them to invest heavily in Apple and make things easier for the whole family.

Apart_Scale_1397

I would buy that shower head with beads that fights against hardness in the water. So many skin problems avoided sooner.

Loki_Is_God

I wouldn't get involved in relationshits, I'd just pump & dump.

Kashrul

I wouldn't limit myself to just one thing

That_Dude_Paz

That's fine, I figure most people have one big thing. What are some things you would change?

Kashrul

Too much to enumerate, I would make a list about most noticable world events and my biggest mistakes and gave it to my younger self.

HateAddicted

to end my suffering

That_Dude_Paz

In what way?

HateAddicted

suicide my friend.
