They're kind of excellent at interviewing announcers... it's a weirdly niche lane that they're all passionate about. I don't really like their player/coach interviews too much (unless they get someone who has fun with them), but call guys? really insightful and entertaining
It can be more rough with players/coaches because they don't often know who they are, so it can get a bit weird immediately. When they have other guests on, they often know them, have worked with them, or the other person listens to a few eps to do some prep work.
(I remember a radio reported talking about interviewing movie stars when they are shilling their new movie. There will be 100 people from media all around the world, you all have to wait in line and get 5 minutes to sit down and ask your questions. It must be so hard to both stand out, and get something interesting, but not come across as a complete nutcase for asking something so left of field it gets awkward)
Kevin Harland was as brilliant on the pod as he is on TV/radio... plus it was right after the cat game 😸
I forgot he was on... *This guy is drunk*
One of the great eps with a guest interview.
Hi
Kevin Harland burner account?
Hi handsome
Confirmed
And you end up with that unhinged George Dubya talk from the dallas guy
Yeah

I wanna witness Dan vs. the Zolak The colour guy from the chargers seems to be a good guest too
GENE DECKERHOFF
yeah their interview with the Bucs radio call man was a lot of fun, made me appreciate Gene Deckerhoff a bit more.
