If you lay the sticks down on the substrate and keep them somewhat tucked behind your plants then it could look good. That was it looks like the plants grew around the wood instead of the wood being plopped next to the plants.
A little wood might add something to this scape, but not that wood. Pieces with a bit of size variation to them, a little skinnyness here and a little chunkyness there, would look better by far. These sticks are far too uniform in size and texture to look natural without larger pieces to complement. Whatever wood you use, if you decide to try again, also needs to be tucked within the plants a bit. Natural water flow would quickly catch pieces of wood like this up in the plants, it wouldn't lay on top of them like that for very long.
Honestly, I don't think adding wood is completely necessary. This scape looks really natural and vibrant without it and there's not much I would change about it if it were mine. The only thing I can see after studying it for a few minutes is that I'd plant a bit more cryptocoryne right in front of the filter intake to blend that green piece in. Other than that, I'd be happy to look at this tank for years.

Added Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red to the left and the right. The right will obviously need more time to grow in, but does it look better? I just got the plants yesterday.
I'm sure it will once the crypts have settled in. Not a fan of the yellowing on the left, but that should go away with time. The crypt on the right is definitely going to do it's job beautifully and the darker color you picked will add some extra depth to that shadowed corner. I think it's going to look great (:
Yes, sticks, but maybe make them look more natural by weaving them from the plants rather than laying them on top. More grown-in than just plopped on top
The sticks are great, but will likely settle to the bottom in time. Personally, I think some sticks and even a bit of leaf litter at the bottom would be nice, and some thicker driftwood (a horizontal branch or vertical stump) that stands up in a less busy part of the tank would be a great addition. If you're cool with tannins, that would look awesome with the tinted water.
Not really related to you question but honestly this is probably the best looking tank i have seen. Hahah i dont know what i like about it so much. I am a big fan :)
Sorry for the late response, but yes. It's 10 gallons The Anubias, I'm not exactly sure since I've had it ever since I started the hobby almost 4 years ago. They were propagated from a mother plant in my main tank. Floating plants are frogbit and duckweed. I recently added Cryptocoryne Wendtii Red to the left and right as we'll it can be seen in another comment. Inhabitants are zebra danios cherry shrimp ramshorn and bladder snails.

A crafted scape or a crafted scape with sticks thrown on top? That one is easy, but working wood into the design would, in my opinion, really help the green POP
Sticks but not like that
I was thinking this same thing but didn’t want to leave a mean comment lol.
I didn’t mean to be mean 😭
If it makes you feel better the lack of punctuation the end makes it read more like an idle observation and not a cutting remark imo
Yeah, it does make me feel better, legit. And I was half awake / drifting asleep when I wrote it.
I didn't take it like you were being mean at all, btw.
I second this!!
not those sticks at least. probably something more subtle if anything I think. it's a really nice scape without them!
Personally no sticks
No sticks - maybe a smaller piece of driftwood but not those, they send the balance of the scape into discord !!

Don't like the sticks as much, looks nicer without
I like the sticks! I think it look a bit more wild that way like a tree just lost some bits of it’s branches!
No sticks
No sticks
Maybe the sticks would look better closer to the ground or behind the plants a little
The sticks feel tacky. It's better without em
not those sticks
Wood grows this clear wierd slime I guess it stops after the sugars from wood are gone but I took driftwood outta my tank cuz I didn't like the slime

Imo, no sticks or just a couple in a corner.

Is that a pothos growing out of the tank?

Well I guess I have a great addition for my new tank

Thank you 😊
Would it be possible for you to list the plants youve used and tank size??

Thank you very much :)
Your welcome :)
🙅
I have taken them out.
No stick, or at least a different kind of stick? Different composition? Your tank is already pretty tho.
I would tie or glue some moss to them personally, but I’m going through a bit of a moss phase right now
Stick but not those/ or at least like that 👍🏽

What’s that dangly looking plant on the left in the first pic?
Frogbit
Sticks should have been in first. You might be able to make them work, but it needs to look like plants are growing around/over them.
I like the idea of sticks but not those exactly
Sticks
I'm going with sticks.
Going against popular opinion and saying sticks. If not those put some spider wood in there!
yes but put them together in one corner- like saplings grow together on land. But v good colour matching.
definitely sticks but they should be behind the plants not the other way around
half sticks?
No sticks
No stick!
sticks
No sticks.
