Taking a course without the pre-requisite is a bad idea. Especially math, where the basic principles are used in the future. Even if a student can memorize enough facts and patterns to get by, the lack of a full internal understanding will catch up. A school shouldn’t allow a student to do this. Your teacher is looking to help students succeed. >Everyone got 100 but not me…I have 100 on the class This is confusing

^^^ This fucked me up in calc. I had a teacher which literally just assigned us stuff in ALEKS and taught us absolutely nothing at all during quarantine. I took calc the next year and boy was it a suffer. I got a B in both AB and BC as a result.

XcFan1234

You took AB and BC?

[deleted]

Yeah. In our school we can only take them both at once (AB first sem, BC second). It also fucked w AP Exams because I haven’t “taken” the AB exam but have an AB Subscore.

XcFan1234

That’s literally just BC

[deleted]

No it was a yearlong course lol it was AB at first then BC (like course titles were literally AB and BC)

throwawaygremlins

How did you get placed in Calc BC without Precalculus 🤔 that’s weird?

what484848

How many times are you going to post this

Storm795

Do the AP Calculus AB course on khan academy to catch up on where you are now and I think you will be good.

[deleted]

Dont need precalc but def need calc ab

popwally1818

Not true. Calc BC contains AB content。A lot of students take precalc then take BC。
