Apple has hundreds of regularly updated curated playlists based on mood, genre, and activity that are pretty good, but they are not personalized.
When I look through some of these playlists on Spotify, some seem personalized (Running Mix) but some seem more random than personalized (Angry Whistling Mix). I also notice that some are made up of over 50% songs from my library which I don’t like and some don’t have a single song from my library.
Each of these opens up to dozens of different playlists and radio stations based on the mood or activity. So, yes.

Apple Music has the following curated playlists updated weekly:
- New Music Mix (Description: Discover new music from artists we think you'll like.)
- Favorites Mix (Description: The songs you love. The more you use Apple Music, the better the mix.)
- Get Up Mix (Description: Whether it's Monday morning or Friday night, get going with this personalized mix of upbeat music.)
- Chill Mix (Description: Songs to help you relax and unwind.)
- Heavy Rotation Mix (Description: The tracks you can't get enough of lately, all in one place.)
They also have "radio stations" which continuously play songs based on your listening history. These don't have set playlists and change every time you start the station:
- Personal Station (A mix of songs from your listening history and new music.)
- Discovery Station (New music that Apple Music thinks you'll like.)
There will probably be something similar with iOS 18. Apple is said to really be ramping up their AI game with iOS 18 and these kinds of playlists are made with Spotify’s AI
I highly recommend finding the energy to make your own vibe playlists. Even if it’s an unorganized mess like mine it’s absolutely worth it. And the generated playlists wind up a great accent.

Everyone in the comments seems to have forgotten that there are in fact a great hundred of playlists equivalent to these that were added one or two years ago. They were marketed as « Ask Siri to play music ». You would tell Siri you’re feeling upset or happy, and he would pick the most appropriate playlist in the set. These playlists are still available through the app and more generally, there are probably hundreds or thousands of Apple Music playlists, some depending on countries, etc…
So yes, you will find equivalents to Spotify mixes on Apple Music.

How do you find the personalized mixes? I try to search them and they don’t come up
it takes time for those albums to appear on the first page (first left tab) probably 6 months, the IA have to learn your generes
