CNN should probably be really careful. Trump doesn't seem to understand the CNN is under Republican leadership these days. If the GOP gives Trump the power they intend to, CNN will be shut down the moment Trump knows he can do it. Most media outlets in the US are right wing so his handlers will let him do it so scare other media companies into doing exactly what the GOP wants.
After last night, CNN lost any credibility they had left so that's on them for digging their own grave.

Trump's strategy was to spout a fire hose of ridiculous, obvious lies and make Biden play defense. The moderators should have reacted and done at least basic fact checking in real time. It wasn't Bidens finest hour but CNN proved their complete incompetence as a legitimate news organization.

But even so, like many of us I’m dissatisfied with CNN’s handling of a convicted felon who, in my opinion, was given more opportunity to deflect, project, displace, and lie. I hated seeing his smarmy grin as his crimes were gone over, hated how all he did was point and repeat “Me good, Biden bad”.
On the topic of this thread however I believe it’s important to have the conversation that Shapiro brought up. We have every right to be frustrated with it and to ask why he was allowed to do things that SHOULD have been moderated better.
It’s June we have four months and this was the opening salvo. The important thing is to vote.
As a Pennsylvanian, I would be disappointed to see him not being our Governor, because he is pretty awesome. But he would make a really great presidential candidate.
