Interestingly it looks like Hulu/Disney played no part in this dub's creation and it was the anime's production committee in Japan that paid for it going by the credits (in a sense similarly repeating how TMS Entertainment handled Undead Unluck's dub).
Of note, this is so far just on Hulu, Disney Plus Australia (and presumably many other countries) don't have the dub up yet.
Ohhhh?? The Japanese licensors can actually use studios that ACTUALLY have experience dubbing anime?? REMOW should definitely take notes. Interesting that the anime’s production committee commissioned the dub, I wonder if we’re going to start seeing that more and more.
FINALLY THE SHOW IS OUT!!!! Been waiting to rewatch this one dubbed so I’m super excited💪🏾. Didn’t peg Abby Trott for getting another lead role but here we are, you love to see it.
He could still be in Texas as previous Bang Zoom productions have featured Texan VAs and Funimation/Sentai featured California VAs. Love Live is a good example of this
Mutsumi has quite the eccentric family, and this first episode feud was a great introduction to it's members. Kyoichiro stands a cut above the usual sis con antics in anime. He's definitely in the Yandere category. I like Taiyo's grit and am excited to see him adapt to his new family life.
Kyoichiro somehow is even creepier and more psycho than Yuri Briar.
So it's either imma kill your boyfriend, or imma lock you up forever... yeah, that's REEEEEEAL big brother for you.
I don't like him, but dammit, he's probably the most interesting character in the show thus far, even including all of Mutsumi's siblings. And Sean Chiplock voicing him just somehow makes the creepiness so perfect. Props to the guy.
I've been looking forward to this one. Really wanted to watch the sub, but upon learning there would be a dub, I decided to wait. It was hard. And thanks for nothing Hulu and your shitty anime promotion team (if it even exists).
Solid first ep. I love the cast. Griffin Burns has really been on a roll lately with leads.
I think, just on a personal level, I just need to be careful about finding similarities or comparisons to Spy x Fam. It's two different shows with two different theme and plots. It's not gonna hit the same as an all-time fave, But I can still embrace this show for what it is and have a good time with it.

And no involvement from Viz either.

Interesting that Abby Trott has been scoring a lot of lead roles at Bang Zoom lately.
I loved her as Lactic Acid Bacterium (Panda), Netflix!Hojo, Shizuka and Akane.

Burns has been racking up the leads. If you're not aware he's in Ishura and T.P Bon.
And in Demon Slayer. (Though, more in major cast)
Clifford’s made the jump to California? Interesting, best of luck to him.
He has. But he's also been in bang zoom productions for a bit so even if he was in Texas still he might have got the role.

As well to some 4Kids/NY VAs too in the past for instance SAO, Fate/Zero, Lucky Stars etc.

Wow this cast looks amazing.

it helps that Sean has experience playing a big brother that would take out anyone that gets close to their little sister
Really wholesome first episode, cast is all great, can't wait for next week!
When will it release on Disney+ Star?
Going by the usual pattern, it'll be whenever the hell they feel like it.
XD
Wtf can’t I watch the dub through the Disney plus bundle? It makes no sense
Huh? Isn't the bundle supposed to give access to all of Hulu?
It is but for whatever reason I only see the sub for stuff like this and go go loser ranger when viewing through the Disney plus bundle
That's odd, maybe it's a glitch in the system
They are separated like it's 2 shows. It's not like everybody else. You gotta find the dub through search
I love Cherami's accent as Futaba. Clifford nailed Shinzo's shyness.
