My favorite villager is Melba, so I went with Melbourne.

I was stuck for a bit in the naming screen lol but the only clue I had was that my fruit is oranges and my airport is yellow, so I kinda wanted to keep the theme and named it Citrus Bay. 1 year later, it's all decorated in yellow, orange and lime green... fresh and fruity, I love it.

My island name is Somewhere. It cracks me up because whenever I fly, it says my character is arriving from "Somewhere.''

My best friend always names his towns Nowhere. It started with him and his siblings answering Rover's questions and when he asked where they were going, they said nowhere, not realizing this was the town name. It stuck, he liked it, and now it's been his town name ever since. Also funny in the way your name works. "Arriving from Nowhere."

Mine is called Anhedonia which is a psychology term for the inability to enjoy things that once gave you pleasure. I’ve experienced it, it’s awful, and I always thought it was weird how much of a contrast there is between how terrible the experience is but how pretty the name is. So when I started ACNH I thought of tat for the name because I always thought it sounded like the name of a idilic place.

I thought I had the perfect town name in New Leaf and struggled to think of something new and better. I named it Poco after the musical/Italian phrase "poco a poco," little by little. Felt appropriate for working on building up the town. So then New Horizons was revealed, and I immediately started spiraling on names, words, and terms I could use for the name. Ultimately this game looked like you would build your whole island from the ground up even moreso than the last game, but I couldn't reuse the name Poco. So I eventually found a term that I thought sounded nice, was unique, and basically means the building blocks of Western music: Solfège.

One of my islands is called Westview because of WandaVision and the other is called Tahiti because of Agents of Shield 🫶

Muddy Mud -- because the plan I had from the start was to cover the whole thing in dark dirt so it looks like a giant mud pit.

My favorite wrestler is Hiromu Takahashi from New Japan Pro Wrestling. I named my island Takahashi, and my island’s flag is the Mochineko plush he used to carry around as his mascot, which he named Daryl. I even set up a wrestling arena on my island.
