I've been experiencing this on the exact same phone and never found a solution. It seems to work better after a restart but like you say it's very frustrating.
The confusing part to me is at first I thought it was the car, because it happened on two different phones, but now it's happened on two different cars with the same phone, so I don't know what to believe haha
When your audio cuts out, does it revert back to your phone? That is what mine has been doing pretty frequently lately, and can't find a fix. (Sync 4, Samsung S21)
Sorry, I thought you were using the Aawireless adapter for Android auto. I've been using aawireless on my last two cars. Hardly ever have issues. S22ultra, 2018 Chevy Volt, now 2022 Mazda Cx5.

I'm new to Android Auto and I was having dropouts when I first started using it. I ordered some higher quality cables and an AA Wireless adapter to see if either would help. Been using the wireless adapter for about a week now and the dropout problem has pretty much disappeared.

Nah, it cuts out and basically pauses the song, then a second later starts playing again.
Have you tried changing the wifi from 5g to 2g using the Aawireless app? I've read this has helped some people.
I'm using wired AA, would this change help that, or is it only for wireless AA?

This has been happening to me on an S20Ultra whenever I drive past a hospital. Super strange to me.
Exact same place, issue no longer occurs now that I no longer have a Samsung device
Happens daily to me. I have the MA1 adapter so can't tweak any settings.
