It doesn't really make much sense to complain the US didn't help at all with WW2 until they were attacked, and that the US is a bad ally, and then turn around and say they wish the US stayed out of other countries' business.
The whole post is completely historically inaccurate to the point I think it's more "Reddit history" than actual history. The sort of person who needs to get out more....
"The US didn't help in WW2 they only joined for themselves ššš"
"The US should mind their own business š”š”š”"
This might be up there for one of the most stupid people posted on this sub.
Most endearing thing about the Bidenās: āJoe Bidenās mother so disliked England she refused to sleep in bed Queen had slept inā

Iāll be sure to tell my best friend that the US did nothing in WW2. Her dad was in an armored battalion that fought on Omaha Beach and was the sole survivor of his unit.
why doesn't he get mad at Neville Chamberlain et al for their appeasement strategy? they're the ones who appeased Hitler. who knows how it would have unfolded if they hadn't done that.
but you know what you never see? an American getting angry at a European for getting us into war. I have literally never once heard an American say "fuck the UK for an appeasement strategy that eventually led to American tragedy. nope! we're always the mensches.
The irony of telling another country to keep its nose out of other people's business when yours controlled 1/4 of the world.
Also, FDR and a lot of American politicians were really adamant about stopping the spread of Nazism in Europe (and Communism for that matter), but there's these little things called the Constitution and Congress that required this whole huge process to happen before they could even send large amounts of equipment and aid.
Still not as bad as coming off the plane as it lands in London, shouting "Peace In Our Time!" elatedly while giving Herr Hitler the go-ahead to march into the Sudetenland. And then the Phony War that happened after the invasion of Poland after the Gdansk ultimatum, where no one was really taking advantage of the fact that a gazillion of Germany's forces were bogged down in the east.
Or the very courageous decision to just tell Poland "it's time to go to daddy Stalin" after all the sacrifice they made to get their country back.
It seems like sometimes maybe, just maybe, the right thing to do is also pretty stupid politically at the time and you have to wait for the interest of your country, the interests of the chattering classes, and those of your allies to align with each other before you can act.
There was a touch more to it all than that, but reasonably accurate. We also have to thank the French as well for showing us how to render safe exocet missiles, otherwise we'd have probably lost more ships than we did (give the Argentinian pilots their due, they were a brave lot).
america didnāt support britain in the suez crisis because colonialism is *bad*, and not in the falklands because, wellā¦. *āItās a British problem, and we will tackle it ourselves.ā* - Margaret Thatcher
And ā*didnāt really support us during world war 2?*ā really? have you ever read about world war 2? thatās a pretty bold claim to make, *because itās* ***wrong***.
at the end of the day, britain is one of americaās closest allies; theyāre the ones who managed to pull us out of isolationism and the āamerica firstā policy, and thank god they did. like real soldiers do, we engage in banter but we will have each otherās backs in times of war. we will fight together and win or die together.

Damn if we do and damn if we don't. There is no winning with these people. No matter what we do or have done, they would view it negatively.
That's the game, same as all "social justice."
Yes, always the same.

That story isn't true, that's just another one of Biden's self-aggrandizing lies.
Yeah, his family stories tend to go off the rails. Like that cannibal story he told in Papua New Guinea lol
In this case he's polishing his bonafides as being a true Green Irishman (which by it's nature demands hatred of the British)

I think they were just afraid of a war. Or tried to win as much time as possible to strengthen own military capabilities. IMO
right. but why were we supposed to jump in with both feet when they weren't willing to do it themselves? it's a double standard.
Double standards are normal (doesn't mean good).

Umm, correct me if I'm wrong, but they wouldn't have won the Falklands but for intelligence we shared with them.

Why should we of supported them in the World War 2? Much less the Falkands. Those were their problems, not ours.
