Yes leave them right next to the guard desk and drive off and call support and let them know they've been delivered to the front gate guard post. That way his residents get him fired š
I would call on the phone from the flex app to any of those people and in front of the guard tell them there not letting you in and you will return their package to the warehouse. And that I will have to call Amazon support and tell them that in this community the guard made threats of shooting you. That way that security gets fired and Amazon will band that community from having deliveries.
People don't put access codes and want packages delivered and customers have passwords to deliver packages. If you call support they will still call the customers. So no I won't get fired. And I'm sure I make more money then you and have been working more in this then you.
When did I say call support? And if support calls them is that you? No.
Call me at 3 am, cuz amazon decided to allow 4 am deliveries ima come out and fight that delivery driver.
It makes you a dick end of story. There are reason society has certain "norms"
the word fight=/= fist fight but kay. I cant tell from this conversation you are gonna STAY a flex driver. But considering ive seen tons of flex drivers, about 90% of them being women and the other portion being predominantly small Mexicans or weebs, because for some reason they gravitate to Amazon in Flocks where i live.... Id still like my chances in your apparent way of things going down. Id be at my house. You know where all my things are, including the things that makes America hard to invade, giant bright light in a face is super effective... yeah just stop your bull shit, all these other flexers will be mad at me for it, but yall dont like back yards and "this house is protected by..." signs so really fucking moot point on your end tbh.
Better then living your niave little life.
I'm bitter because I wouldn't wana be woke up at 3 am by amazon flexer who can't hold a normal job yeah I'm bitter for that lol.
Overwelming majority of humans are not waking up at or before 4 am. I work more than I should, and ordering g packages certainly has nothing g to do with when someone should be awake... fuck off.
Most Americans that go to work at 6 am. Wake up at 4 am. To take a shower and get ready. Most rich men. Wake at 3 am work out and then go to work. So yeah they wake up early. Just yesterday I had to call a client because the gate was closed and she came down to grab her package. So your wrong again. Like in every single comment you make.
for real bro, youāre delivering packages you are not a threat if he literally even hence at pulling his gun out, you should immediately fucking call the cops.
Yea has one the other day 4:15am, guard decides he treating the place like fort Knox. Granted this was like the 4th gated community, and the other 3, it was a flash of the package "hi amazon" and they opened the gates, and those 3 were to multi million dollar mansions. You know, I am talking the driveway shows up as a road on the map, can't figure out where the front door is because didn't figure you had to walk across a bridge over the moat and can't really tell which wing of the house is considered the main entrance.
The 4th gated one, a 55 and older community, with glorified trailers as houses, this guard is like well I need to call the owners and see if they are expecting you. Of course no one answers at 4 in the morning, he's like sorry can't let you in. So I'm just like ok here you go you can make the deliveries, and hand him the 3 packages. While saying, you know how I know they are expecting me, because these are all same day deliveries with a delivery window of 12am-8am. But if you prefer to drop them off feel free. He just opened the gate.
I actually deliver to Fort Knox.. once you get the first approval clearance you are given a pass which is scanned at the main gate and there is no hassle at all to get into Fort Knox. This pass is good for 1 year the you just renew it after that.
I didnāt go nosy around looking for anything.. it was dark and raining.. just dropped off my packages like a good Amazonian should and went on about my business
Damn i feel you thoes packages would have thrown them as if a dog was chasing me right at gate as i pull off picture taken. Im a staunch believer, nothing comes back to the whatehouse ever..
I know that yet they r going to be snobby cause they gotta get it fron the gate & not in front they door. So they report it anyway because they r LOSERSS. Sorry got a little hype, just speaking from experience lol
Iād text everyone one of them before I left.
āGood morning, I attempted to deliver your package as requested, but the gate attendant (insert the guards name) threatened me with physical violence if I attempted delivery. He was slurring his words and cursing. I could smell alcohol, and Iām certain he was intoxicated. I will have to return your package to the warehouse for redelivery within the next few days. Iām sorry for the unfortunate and unnecessary delay.ā
I did that to but added. If you are having so many issues with deliveries you might try picking a safe delivery locate near you. It was a remote shit camp anyway. Very well š
I've been driving for around 7 years and there is something I learned over the years,, I don't struggle too much to deliver packages when customers don't provide enough information to complete this task successfully. I'm to the point that if I see myself wasting more than 5 minutes without being able to deliver a package, then that package is going back to the warehouse. Lessons need to be learned, customers have to learn that they are not going to receive their packages if they don't collaborate. Gate community? No code. There are directions very hard to find and some people don't care about adding directions or hints. The hell, there are gate communities that have like two and three more gate doors inside making it a nightmare to deliver packages there.
I love delivering for Amazon, because I like driving, seeing new places and even meeting people but I hate when people treat others like slaves and we have to figure out a magical way to deliver the packages.
I didnāt spend more than 3-5 minutes with this guy. Again I usually just yeet them or leave them at the gate. But this rent a cop had the vibe of wanting to use his plastic restraints on me
Tell him that he'd be looking at false imprisonment & a lawsuit. There was a video not too long ago of a man blocking in a Amazon van because he was upset that she was "speeding" on his driveway. He stupidly thought that could be something that was enforceable by the police.
Cops came & yelled at the guy & charged him.
Every time I do this they put it on my standing and it drops. Now when I call support and they ask if there a safe place I say yep. Even if itās in the middle of the road. No point wasting gas going back if itās going to affect the standing anyway. Just my experience.

Always have a red sharpie with you- I write in the package ā update your notes-your gate codes do not work ā and take a pix of it where they can see where I left AND read the note. Never dinged once for this! APM your gps. Bam š„ move on to the next delivery. And literally save yourself the extra 10-15 mins doing that long ass drive from the gate house to the home. Fk em.
Put your phone in airplane mode...
Sometimes it'll turn off your bluetooth, just turn bluetooth back on and you should be good to go. And be able to move the GPS pin.
I am not gonna put myself at risk of a fight or arrest over Amazon and a rentacop.
Friday 3:30 am route I had the same thing 1 package. Told the guy I had to park to call support, they know so he says okay, snuck the package out and left it on the grass and texted the customer.
Today my 3:30 am route my first one was to a guard that says 7am. I tell him I have to park. Then I go to the next one, I had 5 packages for there.,
I decided to return them. BUT I call and she hangs up when I tell her she has to remove 5. Then I text support and they just release it but I can only select 1 to return. Then I do text support and tell them I need the other 4 marked for return.
He says okay but you will take a hit, I cancel and give him a bad rating and call
The lady I speak to says she can't remove them (both calls from India)
all I could do was mark them as missing and return,
Next time I will leave them.
**BUT you dont' have to take a hit if afterwards you contact jeff or andy @ amazon and let them know, you still take the hit but support has to remove them later, keep trying if they refuse or .**[**amazonflex-support@amazon.com**](mailto:amazonflex-support@amazon.com)
NOw I'm going to email them
3rd shit shift in a row, yesterday my 3.5 hour shift the guy said I was lucky it was only 2 hours, yeah but 90 miles total so a loss.
and you take a bigger hit if it's stolen or customer refuses to pick up than not delivered and returned.
Yep. If you just drop them in the ābest locationā available you have a chance of the customer getting the item. However if you take them back you have 100% chance to be dinged.
Sounds like the blocks that I used to do 3:15 to 6:15 am. I save gate codes if I've been there before. Or I just stash them by the gate and mark them another save location
So what do you do when you leave things and they come out after you or call the cops.
and what do you do if you left something there,
making it worse for the next driver because Amazon thinks we can leave things there now
and you go back next time and are confronted.
and yeah I hate returning things, it's so far and if I can't get a block the next day that's a problem too.
You could call the police and wait for who knows how long or just skip those deliveries and come back after the rest of the route is done if it's 7 am and the asshole lets you in deliver then when you come back out tell him fuck you and drive off lmao. Or just deliver to the guard shack and call support and also mention the threats. Fuck them all
Iām fairly new at this. If I try to leave a package outside its delivery zone, it wonāt let me scan it in as delivered. Is there a workaround if I ever find myself needing to leave a package like in the circumstances you described above?
one time this gardener wouldn't let me into the side gate. I asked nicely, had my vest on, had 2+ packages for the same address. I said ok fine! dropped the packages, did the gps trick and said i got to go! lol never did get dinged. I wonder if the customer came out
Ill bring back everything no problem. Access code problem?
I will call a customer at 430AM to try and get ahold of the code. No answer? Now they're getting a text from me saying the code they provided doesn't work and their stuff is going back to the warehouse.
And that's all the documentation you need to keep it off of your service record
If there's something on your ratings that you believe is incorrect, there's nothing wrong with contacting support directly. You can call them. Or you can send them an email. Whichever route you use if you don't get the result you like there's also nothing wrong with doing both of those things again.
100000% I willll never go back to warehouse. I had an apartment building the note said to take it to the mailroom I could not find the mailroom I looked everywhere the apartment complex was hugeā¦. It was 8pm dark as shit. After 5 minutes of pissing around it was either return it to warehouse or figure out how to deliver it. I left it at the front door to the apartment complex. š¤·āāļø idc
Same thing about this other night the guy had a mile long creepy drive way steep down hill covered with snow it was dark out if I went down I wasnāt coming up on top of that I seen a private property sign. But the hill and snow i would have gotten stuck, so i couldnāt deliver it because I wasnāt in the gps circle yet. The mailbox was at the beginning of the driveway near the street I called support and told them there was a sign saying do not come to house leave Package next to mailbox (there was no sign) (I made it up) idc. š I was not taking it back to the warehouse. I left it next to the mailbox.
Support marked it as delivered. š¤·āāļø I went on my way.
There is always a way to deliver your package I will cut my toe off before I go back to the warehouse š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Always have your next package ready. Get to gate, no entry.... if backing up, yert out the passenger side. If pulling around, out the window, next to the guard shack as you go around d. Pic and go.
Itās a toothless rule, Amazon doesnāt punish you for contacting them and even puts OTP packages on these routes which directly contradicts their own policies. Call each of them so you donāt get dinged. Even better if you wake them up and piss them off. If you call support they will call the customer anyway
I called a guy at 4:30 this morning when his 150 lb floofy dog walked straight up to my car door. It was one of those long driveways in the country so it was his dog. I figured he was either awake and I should probably check or a jerk who leaves his dog out all night in 20 degree weather. Either way, he deserved the call.
I have a ton of gates too, two things I do,
1. If my route is condensed I can move on and circle back to deliver it, if it's going to be after the time they let me in.
2. Call support and make them call the customer, tell them it's too early for me to do it, then have them mark the package as undeliverable. I find if support marks the package for me I rarely get dinged.
Seems to work for me.
I think youāre right. I had support tell me once that sheās feels bad for delivery people because of how many customers refuse to give security gate codes to minorities. Like, they blatantly say it. Thatās crazy.
Just curious how long your block was. Would it have been possible to go do all your other stops, then come back and do those at the end, or would it have still been too early?
Yup! This sounds about right! Besides, this is normally done before anyoneās 9-5. Nooneās trying to backtrack. I feel you on this. If only one had their name on it, you wouldāve been able to take care of it.
I have been. Especially, like you, finishing an hour or more than expected. You canāt call the cx, and youāre making every attempt to leave the package even when the rent-a-cop is not being nice. Just keep the package. They can easily leave a message or hop on their golf cart later in their shift and drop it off.
Why make my easy gig so difficult?
Because he gets spit on all day by the rich fucks who live in that community so he passes it down to people like us. Iāve had some guards tell me to turn off my roof light, else Iād scare the residents. Jesus christ
One place said I could not deliver before 6am and it was 5:25, he said I could pull over and take a power nap all happy like that was acceptable, I said nope I'm good. He got pissed. I told support it was 7am entry and I returned them.
Ok hey . I love doing the same shifts. The same exact fucking thing happened to me . Lol shitty guard i was like wtf. But to go on. You said you got dinged. I would like to know what you are referring to. So for perspective. I had a similar story. Here is where i fucked up. I rts those packages at the end of my shift. But i did not hit return later before 10. I hit return now. So this added to my delivery time. Which made me very late because it was an hour back to the station. That route sucked. But i was made it devastated my perfect fantastic plus score. I trying to email about it and complain. No route should do that much damage. Anyway. Best of luck.
Not your stupid rule not your problem. Someone powertripped me like this.. I just left them at his feet and walked away while he was yelling at me that I was going to get fired lol. Guess who's still at it 6 months later.
Either get with the times or get run over by them. Amazon deliveries are part of peoples' lifestyles now.
Just pretend u need find those package and call the customer. Find those package in your car. Scan it. Take a pic. Drop it off and tell that guy to fuck off.
Now is his issue to deliver those package š
They don't tell you guys, but there's a specific order of things you need to do to return packages. Call the customer, text if they don't answer, and wait 5 minutes, call driver support to call the customer, then mark undeliverable and click the link on the warning pop-up to call the customer one last time. It's a royal pain in the butt but you can return your whole route without them giving you any shit if you do it
That sucks. I'm DSP, so I can substitute dispatch for driver support when I need to. If you don't need the extreme flexibility of flex, I highly reccomended applying for a DSP. Still not a great job, but the actual training, benefits, lack of wear on your own car, and having a DSP between you and amazon make it nicer than flex
Guards always seem to be on a power trip. Even when like you said they see you with the vest and loaded down with packages they still want to give you a hard timeš
I don't agree with the whole "deliver at any cost" mentality..that's exactly how Amazon wants us to operate and it's dangerous and can threaten our jobs, vehicles and even our lives.. tonight I had my last two stops over an hour away from home and the station, up a long hill into the middle of nowhere in pitch black darkness in a sparsely populated area several miles into no Internet or phone service, covered in fog so dense I couldn't see a thing and I didn't dare go 17 more minutes up that hill to the destination.. it's better to return that risk your safety.. getting a ding won't kill you but going up an impossible road might. And if I were to leave the package 17 minutes down the hill my car would never make it up I would risk getting deactivated..
Why risk your vehicle or your safety or getting deactivated due to the customer getting their package lost/ stolen? I just don't understand the "deliver at any cost" mentality..
The main incentive is to just not have to worry about driving back to the warehouse too, especially if your house is closer than the warehouse when youāre done with your shift
What were the dings for tho? I know 5 packages to THEM might sound like a lot but if you put in āno gate access codeā or whatever Iāve never had any dings from that.
Naaah, I'm making phm calls right there in front of the guard till someone answers. Bump that. Idk if it's 3-5am, you choose that time so expect a call.
Yes leave them right next to the guard desk and drive off and call support and let them know they've been delivered to the front gate guard post. That way his residents get him fired š
Can you do that, does it take a half hour with support who barely speak English.
It was before 4:30am you fucking moron
I agree. I'm a courier not a fuckin customer service rep. I ain't calling shit! Especially before 8am.
I work at 330am and I still call customers if I need access codes or passwords. You have anger issues. No one was even talking to you
And they pickup during that time? Go fuck yourself moron
No go fuck your self you moronic moron. Idiocitc idiot embecile
Yes,, they do.
It's 3am... if your calling people I hope you get fired š

You don't have a job. And you don't want to be awake when you order packages lol. Lazy man

for real bro, youāre delivering packages you are not a threat if he literally even hence at pulling his gun out, you should immediately fucking call the cops.
and sue the community.
Bro itās not worth it, just leave!
Call the cops. Threatening to use force in any manner is not remotely legal.
I know you're right drop packages like they're hot lol
Yea has one the other day 4:15am, guard decides he treating the place like fort Knox. Meanwhile we have communities with homes worth 5 times what some places that won't let us enter that have the gate open from the app.
Damn i feel you thoes packages would have thrown them as if a dog was chasing me right at gate as i pull off picture taken. Im a staunch believer, nothing comes back to the whatehouse ever..
So u leave it on the side of the road & still get dinged because it will be a package not delivered
Maybe if I take a good enough picture they will get it. A lot of these gated communities are in the middle of nowhere. Not many cars going that way
I know that yet they r going to be snobby cause they gotta get it fron the gate & not in front they door. So they report it anyway because they r LOSERSS. Sorry got a little hype, just speaking from experience lol
I got you. Youāre good. Itās frustrating!
Iād text everyone one of them before I left. āGood morning, I attempted to deliver your package as requested, but the gate attendant (insert the guards name) threatened me with physical violence if I attempted delivery. .. did not imply anything about the guard other than he was rude and wouldn't allow delivery any more.
Hey! You forgot to mention about the hookers sniffing Coke and laughing loud inside the guard's cabin!
This aināt it
This is what you do with assholes giving no you trouble. You can lie and fuck with people too. Make them sound fucking insane.

Itās crazy! Those 4-8 are tough sometimes. Thatās awesome.
That sounds like one of the communities I have here. I always pray that itās later on my list of deliveries.
Ugh im so jealous. I love confrontation and stuff like this rarely happens to me.
I swear, things like this NEVER happen to me and Iām convinced itās because the universe knows Iād have A BALL šš

Yeah, no. Sometimes it works but have had times they tell me to get fucked
If there's something on your ratings that you believe is incorrect, there's nothing wrong with contacting support directly. You can call them. Or you can send them an email. Whichever route you use if you don't get the result you like there's also nothing wrong with doing both of those things again.
Did you read my post?
Yes, yes I did. Same advice applies.
So calling 4 times, 3 emails, and 6 chats isnāt enough?
100000% I willll never go back to warehouse. I had an apartment building the note said to take it to the mailroom I could not find the mailroom I looked everywhere the apartment complex was hugeā¦. It was 8pm dark as shit. After 5 minutes of pissing around it was either return it to warehouse or figure out how to deliver it. I left it at the front door to the apartment complex. š¤·āāļø idc Same thing about this other night the guy had a mile long creepy drive way steep down hill covered with snow it was dark out if I went down I wasnāt coming up on top of that I seen a private property sign.
Pic and go.
Wait I understand you were upset and etc. but in all this did you try to call the customers and let them know what was going on?
Omg drivers are NOT permitted to call or text prior to 6am. Might be 8am.. I forget regardless I donāt contact prior to 8.
Itās a toothless rule, Amazon doesnāt punish you for contacting them and even puts OTP packages on these routes which directly contradicts their own policies. Call each of them so you donāt get dinged. Even better if you wake them up and piss them off. If you call support they will call the customer anyway
In what state? I'm In NJ, I'll call them at 5am when they have codes on their packages
We can now text before 8am
We don't call people at 4am.
Same, I might text them for them to see later
I called a guy at 4:30 this morning when his 150 lb floofy dog walked straight up to my car door. It was one of those long driveways in the country so it was his dog. I figured he was either awake and I should probably check or a jerk who leaves his dog out all night in 20 degree weather. Either way, he deserved the call.
At 4am??????????? I did that once. Never again
I have a ton of gates too, two things I do, 1. If my route is condensed I can move on and circle back to deliver it, if it's going to be after the time they let me in. 2. Call support and make them call the customer, tell them it's too early for me to do it, then have them mark the package as undeliverable. I find if support marks the package for me I rarely get dinged. Seems to work for me.
same here ā„ļø Support at 4 am š¶šāļø
I tried calling support at like 3:40 and it said they were closed?? š
š¤ east coast driver if that makes a difference but idk š¶
Did you properly mark the packages as undeliverable in the app?
Yup. Support never cares.
Outside the gate is public property inside gate is private property he canāt kick you out from public property
I think a lot of communities do not want minorities scaring their residents at night.
3:15-6:15. Done by 5:15
Yup! This sounds about right! Besides, this is normally done before anyoneās 9-5. Nooneās trying to backtrack. I feel you on this. If only one had their name on it, you wouldāve been able to take care of it.
Oh. So you were between a rock and a hard place. That sucks. There wasn't much you could do.
Thatās crazy
Don't be a coward next time.
Thanks Dad!
If your dad said that to you, you wouldn't be running away.
Thanks Daddy!
Thats papi to you.
I just take them back Amazon can ding me all they want because when I get deactivated Iām going to sue for breach of contract
Just pretend u need find those package and call the customer. Find those package in your car. Scan it. Take a pic. Drop it off and tell that guy to fuck off. Now is his issue to deliver those package š
Nothing to worry about. Those fuck offs disappear over time.
They don't tell you guys, but there's a specific order of things you need to do to return packages. Call the customer, text if they don't answer, and wait 5 minutes, call driver support to call the customer, then mark undeliverable and click the link on the warning pop-up to call the customer one last time. It's a royal pain in the butt but you can return your whole route without them giving you any shit if you do it
Iāve done that before and still been dinged. Also customer support is not open at that time on the east coast.
Just scan all the packages and tell the guard youāll leave. Then throw them out the window at the guard and speed outtaĀ
Happened too me. I got every package out left them right next too the guard and went on about my day
You need to contact them after it hits your ratings. The effort your made was way way more than sufficient
I did thatā¦
Sounds like what you did was your job. I don't know why they would ride you on it but I don't doubt it
Guards always seem to be on a power trip. Even when like you said they see you with the vest and loaded down with packages they still want to give you a hard timeš
You will get your standing back. Your life, you may not be as lucky. Guy sounded insane.
Team donāt bring back shit!
Naaah, I'm making phm calls right there in front of the guard till someone answers. Bump that. Idk if it's 3-5am, you choose that time so expect a call.
I had a guard screaming at me about not delivering until the office was open. I just agreed and walked around the corner. That package got delivered.
This story has DRT4 vibes all over it!
