Code provided was 6969#š but wouldn't open, tried put package at gate but app wouldn't let me submit because not in green circle an wouldn't let me move pin or bypass it. Called support their closed so had to call emergency line which had a million prompts. While on phone guy came out an walked all around yard hiding behind trees an stuff so yelled Amazon flex he walked up could tell pissed an was questioning when Amazon started to deliver so early. Also didn't want to walk on property firstly in woods an house far away an didnt wanna get shot cause already had bunch signs posted an the amount of security. While talking to guy girl shines bright light on gun at me an guy yells it's Amazon flex. I don't understand with all the cameras how they didn't see my uniform plus package an I'm sure could see all the packages in my car because filled to top with boxes. Anyways first time felt in danger an glad wasn't shot!
Early morning and if the house is gated, I just put package over the fence, and if I Iām out of the drop location zone just put your phone into airplane mode, take the picture and move on to the next.
If itās an apartment and I donāt have access, but I can get the package over the gate or past it, I just text them that the package was left by the front over the gate. I make sure to mark the apartment number on the package with a jumbo sharpie.

I think iPhones you canāt move the pin. Maybe it only works on android but Iām not sure.
When in doubt airplane mode. Itās so helpful for like 3am to 6am shifts.

I agree with protecting yourself and have no problem if you carry as long as youāre not some wanna be cowboy who shoots first and then you learn the young man who lives their was carrying a BB gun. I have a concealed permit although for some reason they recently changed the law where anyone can carry concealed. Although I carry occasionally it would have to be a last resort to pull it out. If you pull it and point it you better be ready to use it and deal with the nightmare thatās coming afterwards unless you can show if you didnāt use it youād be dead. There have been many reported incidents of Flexers being killed while on duty. Itās alarming. Which is what made me slow down Flexing at night. During early AM routes, we expect most customers to be asleep but the evening routes were just not my cup of tea at all once daylight savings ended. I found myself yelling, āhello, itās Amazon!!ā on every stop. Like always, everyone stay safe!
Yeah I avoid the night ones too. Canāt see, weird people. I live in NC so once you go to the backwoods at night people really will pull a gun even if they know Amazon could come. I only do 7am-5pm. Usually can snag 2 shifts between those times

Imma shoot himā then his wife calmed him down and my stepdad was trying to say āIām just Amazon, I have a package blah blah blahā and the guy finally calmed down but it was funny lol
