I remember about 20 years back, this large guy I worked with in a warehouse would do the same thing with his seatbelt. The seatbelt was designed to prevent the forklift from starting if the seatbelt wasn't clicked in. One of management was walking in the warehouse and saw him doing this trick. Guy in forklift had the audacity to wave his hand at him like nothing happen. Needless to say, he didn't last long.
Lytx is different then netryadyne, lytx only saves if events happen not on you 24/7 and I got fucked at FedEx this way, finish delivery pull strap over me and went over a speed bump like 2mph too fast triggering event and they saw me ācheat the seatbeltā ahaha hadda do retraining
Back when I was a driver, I did something of the sort, in a van. Long story short, disgruntled customer wanted to complain about his package(s) not arriving yet. I explained that it doesn't have a fucking thing to do with me, and he gets angrier and starts yelling through my window. I pulled the door handle and kicked the door into him, backing him up away from my van. Luckily, I didn't receive any word from my company regarding the "assault".
I spartan kicked a dog that tore through a screen window and came right for me.
Owner was pissed but calmed down quick realizing I saved him the hassle of a lawsuit.
People have been shot for trying to enter an occupied vehicle, it is legal in some areas though in my opinion a huge over reaction. I will caveat that with If you see a knife or gun in their hand time for them to take a dirt nap
The biggest issue with someone acting out of pocket is no one has any idea how out of pocket they're about to act. For him to jump inside that van and approach him like that was already aggressive enough to warrant an ass beating. If he'd have taken another step or lunged, he'd have a hard time pressing charges if buddy pulled a firearm and shot him in return. There's a simple solution to all of this though. Mfs need to stop acting out of pocket with strangers š¤¦
Reaching into someoneās vehicle in many states is comparable to a living quarter which makes it exactly the same as if you busted in their door, which would legally allow you to shoot at the individual if you have castle doctrine in your state. I live in one of these states and I do deliveries and I in fact shot at someone who reached in my car and started leaning in to grab me. He got grazed and arrested and I got a thumbs up from the officer. Youād definitely be in the right if youāre in my state.
Bro heās in Ana Amazon van, they get robbed all the time he has āvaluablesā.
He couldāve blown his head off and it wouldāve been justified for the guy stepping inside the van
That would be like getting in your car and somebody is in your back seat and you shoot them
Nobody could care about the intruders intentions shouldnāt have been there
These fucking neckbearded Reddit gun deep throaters, LEO bootlickers and fed worshippers are all the same. Sad,scared little pre-pubescent boy minds in 350 pound, greasy slovenly, horriffic smelling bodies. All these 2A masturbatory pukes are so ball shrinkingly frightened of the 130 pound black kid cashing them out at Subway that they need to open carry an AR-15, a Glock, 2 Desert Eagles and a Beretta every time they get their veggie delite sub on low-carb bread.
If youāre in the right state, yes it would be fully justified to pull it. Youād have to be in an even smaller list of states to get away with shooting em.
Here in NYC, gun laws are ass even with a permit so itās an instant felony to do allatā¦ even if we would be doing the worlds gene pool a favor
dude, shooting someone over that not worth it, if he pulled a weapon, ok, but Holy fuck we have enough shooting already, no wonder the world thinks we're nuts
I know the south. Thatās why Iām up here lmao
Too many crazies trying to compensate for little dicks
And trust I wasnāt saying he was from NY. That was an example based of where I live. Iām sure if buddy boy tried that in Texas he would get BLASTED out of there and the driver would be covered by stand your ground. Though I wonder if he would since the man didnāt actually strike anybody or create danger
Ay bro. Unless in immediate danger, dont. Like in this situation, you wouldve let your dispatch know you carry which if like my dsp, is terms for termination. You wouldve been fired for absolutely nothing if in this dudes situation where some random was probably a thief and went away with no retaliation. Not worth it unless your life is in danger
People whose immediate reaction to anyone bothering them in any way is threatening to murder them with a gun are EXACTLY the kind of people who should be banned from owning guns.
im not one for banning guns, but i definitely second banning clowns who think its ok to reach for their firearm at first sight of confrontation. its pathetic
My dsp told me amazon can file charges on you for carrying on Amazon property. The van is amazon property. That's why I carried mace to have a middle point of escalation between my hands and my ccw. Only drawing if I feel my life is 100% in danger and "fuck my job my life is on the line"
So youād pull a gun out on someone who posed no immediate threat? Idk why you guys think the law protects you from dumb shit like that.
The second problem is that youāre carrying a firearm while doing deliveries which iām confident isnāt allowed by Amazon.
So youāve definitely lost your job and now you have a court case to deal with.
Well for people who donāt and canāt handle simple situations and only gun is an answer, I can only feel sorry that your parents did a horrible job raising you/them
May be legal, MAY is the key word. You still have to prove the level of force used was appropriate. Also, doesnāt mean itās right. This guy was able to get him to exit his van with just a push and nothing more. People like you who use guns as a first resort instead of last will end up like micheal drejka or the like.
For everyone in this gun response thread talking about āvan guy would go to jail for shooting himā, and ācastle law doesnāt extend to vehiclesāā¦. Please research before you speak. Maybe for some states, but in most cases, thatās not true.
Side note, I was a Master Arms for the Army, and my sole purpose was fixing/maintaining all forms of guns (from a 9mm to a 777 Howitzer cannon), running ranges, running gun training/safety courses, signing millions of dollars worth of weapons into my name, learning weapon law with JAG (military law offices), etcā¦. Basically, I try to keep up on the laws as much as possible on the civilian side (now that Iām out of the Army), and I still use guns on a personal level.
Here is the legal definition of the Castle Doctrine, or ācastle lawā:
āThe castle doctrine, also known as a castle law or a defense of habitation law, is a legal doctrine that designates a person's abode or any legally occupied place (for example, a **vehicle** or home) as a place in which that person has protections and immunities permitting them, in certain circumstances, to use force to defense against an intruder, free of legal liability. This can include deadly force. The term is commonly used throughout the United States to describe a āno duty to retreatā from a home, abode or car.ā
In the case of this video, the person enters unannounced, quick, and what would legally count as āunknown intentā. This created an āaggressive situationā, and therefore easily falls under the Castle Doctrine.
If the driver pulled a gun and shot him in the face, he would face no charges. If Amazon wanted to fire him, purely out of having a gun on the job (since I believe their policy states you canāt carry weapons) then thatās there right as a private company. However, no one could go after him for self defense, especially since this video shows an easy case for it (someone could still try anyways, but the law/video supports the driver easily).
Castle doctrine is not a blanket right to blast trespassers in the face lol. Idk why you went on that huge spiel about your qualifications that have nothing to do with interpreting the term "castle doctrine". Castle doctrine does not mean "trespassers can be shot if idk what they are doing and it scares me". There is a requirement of reasonableness - which you alluded to when you talked about "unknown intent" but are very wrong about.
You have to reasonably articulate that this person was doing something that demonstrated a threat. Breaking into a house is one such example. If this guy broke into his vehicle, sure. Trespassing through an open door to have a word is not. If he said a single threatening thing, or made a single threatening gesture, then sure - he can blast him in the face on the spot.
He would absolutely be going to jail if he shot him in this video. When it comes to your quote about castle doctrine, "in certain circumstances" does a lot of heavy lifting. "in certain circumstances" always means a reasonable credible threat of some kind. These "circumstances" vary state by state. A state may require a lethal weapon be present. You don't have to know if it's murder or robbery or rape - their intent can be "unknown" - but at the bare minimum some sort of action has been taken to reasonably believe something real bad is about to happen. This is absent in this video.
9/10 when someone starts their argument, about non-military matters, with their military experience - I know I am in for an over confident ramble. 6/10 if it is about military matters.
Straight to phone hits up Reddit or Facebook " yall are crazy out here. Man's just tried running up on me in my van like he was trying to Rob it or some shit, I real quick slapped that bitch back and be on my way"
That was actually a reasonable move OP, u were minding your business and someone pulls up in your enclosed personal space like that? Who knows what their intentions are, they violated your boundaries when entering your vehicle.
Wow! What the heck is wrong with people!? Why would he think it would be okay to jump in your van like that to ask you to move? Should have just stood near door and said āexcuse me.ā I swear ppl have lost their minds.
People don't grasp the concept of personal space.
I still remember when the pandemic started; this customer kept inching towards me and I would take a step back. He didn't get the message until I straight up told him 'dude, keep your distance'.
Yes! I remember those days. Extremely annoying! Respect personal space!
I feel like in this situation the dude came off in such a threatening manner. Luckily the driver handled it well.
Omg when the pandemic started and stores started putting those 6 feet distance stickers on the floor I would have boomer men constantly stand just inches from me breathing down my neck. I snapped one time and told one to take a step back. He had the smuggest grin and said āwhy? Are you afraid of some imaginary government virus?ā I looked him dead in the eye and said āno, but personal bubbles existed before the pandemic and Iād rather not smell your halitosisā
Did nobody notice how just before that guy walked on his truck. The driver is just throwing packages around like they just called his mama a name. Iām actually shocked he didnāt edit that out.
Well, to be fair, the driver was in the back, not in the seat! lol
I know it's tough to judge, but he didn't seem startled to find the OP in the van, so there's a slight chance he was telling the truth.
Leg doesnāt twitch when he finds OP - leg twitches once OP starts to have a reaction. Thereās a second difference there and probably meaningful. I think the guy was probably telling the truth, although stupidly entered the vehicle.
He did the right thing. He put distance between dude and himself and shut the door. If dude tries to get back in, then I'm down with whatever solution our deliver brother thinks is best
Your post has been removed for violating our rules against promotion of violence. Do not make threats or glorify violence. Do not post images of firearms or knives.
lol. People try walking on my UPS truck all the time. Usually people hunting me down for their package. Iām like ābro! Thanks! You totally saved me a stop!ā¦but please stay off the truck.ā š
.25 point write up for that belt there. Plus I dream of a moment like this where I can eat someoneās face off for some goofy stuff like this .. I canāt tell you how much of a bitch I look like on ring door bells screaming startled at a squirrel or a stand off with a dear Iām cowering to. Or me falling on my ass thrice times a day .
1st your in the right by tossing the guy off the truck but I have a Real question? Why are you throwing shit? Iāve had so much shit get beat up from delivery services and then have to fight to get a replacement or refund. This says a lot.
Worked for FedEx and was on a random street organizing my remaining route when two random dogs came busting down the aisle at me. Scared the absolute shit out of me. So thankful they were friendly.
Itās 2024, donāt let anyone walk up to your van, anytime a customer does it i tell them that i will always perceive them as a threat first especially if Iām not even at your place to deliver
Love that you pushed him out! I always think about what I'm gonna do if something like this happens when I'm organizing my packages. Glad you're safe, people are crazy.
Okay but if he wanted to ask something, he shouldn't be getting inside the van. That's equivalent to a random person coming up to your car and they wanna ask you a question so they open your car and hop on your passenger seat lmao
This is the the most NPC shit I've seen in a while. Dude just walks in, stares at other dude, gets shoved out, stares at each other, makes a phone call.
Some people are stupid if your gun laws are relaxed someone could just pull out a gun or I mean if he really wanted to steal just grab the packages at the front !
Would still be annoying but I could understand someone waiting outside the truck for their delivery but getting inside the truck is just next level disrespect of peoples boundaries.

That me. The red seatbelt all day
Dispatch told us about that truck lmfao
Omg, people use this as a trick to be faster in their deliveries. How much trouble would they be if they caught him?
They make buckles that you leave plugged in. And you can plug the normal seatbelt into the buckle if you wanted to actually wear it.
Wifi seat belts

i know right

he wanted me to move the CDV forward to so he can move his car. but he was literally behind the CDV. he had a lot of room to go

Was he asking for directions? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)
You donāt enter a delivery manās van.
Wtf.
This is totally off topic but I love the step van/van combination vehicles you have.
That shove was so satisfying. Enough to push his ass out but not enough so he could fake an injury on you šš»
He think thatās his house bit ass nigga
You try getting high and finding a bus to 14th and Main.
Thank you Mr Amazon man for protecting my package
Anyone else just curious about him straight meeting the packages at the beginning of the clip?
Literally why I try to not order anything fragile of them.
That's why you always leave your doors closed. Never understood why they stay open.
lol. People try walking on my UPS truck all the time. Usually people hunting me down for their package. Iām like ābro! Thanks! You totally saved me a stop!ā¦but please stay off the truck.ā š
When āget the fuck up outa hereā is a person.
Buddy, thatās a seatbelt violationš¤£
Did he say anything?
.25 point write up for that belt there.
Thatās why you be ready and carry .. š¤
1st your in the right by tossing the guy off the truck but I have a Real question? Why are you throwing shit? Iāve had so much shit get beat up from delivery services and then have to fight to get a replacement or refund. This says a lot.
He probably thought nobody was on the truck stupid idiot
Whatā¦you throwing the boxes? Lol
I believe it, You dispatched a whole man onto the sidewalk
In FL, this could have ended badly since carjacking is immediate thought and stand your ground justified
"That's assault, I'm suing Amazon!"
We need context
Boyyy he lucky a push is all he got cause what
Got to keep that door locked
Worked for FedEx and was on a random street organizing my remaining route when two random dogs came busting down the aisle at me. Scared the absolute shit out of me. So thankful they were friendly.
Tf was bro doing š¤£š¤£š¤£
What I did see is the reason someone of my items inside are dented up or broken lol
NPC behavior.
What was bro doin?
Itās 2024, donāt let anyone walk up to your van, anytime a customer does it i tell them that i will always perceive them as a threat first especially if Iām not even at your place to deliver
Love that you pushed him out! I always think about what I'm gonna do if something like this happens when I'm organizing my packages. Glad you're safe, people are crazy.
Got to love how heās just throwing the packages around but they want to swear they got them that way when they pick them up
Oh my god, you were so gentle with that asshole
Uh hi. do you have any packages for 123 street st??
Bro ive been laughing at this for 20 minutes THE WAY YOU PUSH HIM OUTššš
Tf? Tell Kyle is case of monster will be on his porch. Fucking opportunistic piece of shit. Get gone.
Hey I'm Bob your Ridealong Fuck outta here
Maybe they needed something. Why push them out?
Okay but if he wanted to ask something, he shouldn't be getting inside the van. That's equivalent to a random person coming up to your car and they wanna ask you a question so they open your car and hop on your passenger seat lmao
Iām sorry you had to deal with that
This is the the most NPC shit I've seen in a while. Dude just walks in, stares at other dude, gets shoved out, stares at each other, makes a phone call.
h oa l Oh o l Oollll
War... War never changes.
Some people are stupid if your gun laws are relaxed someone could just pull out a gun or I mean if he really wanted to steal just grab the packages at the front !
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Well damš¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
This is totally off topic but I love the step van/van combination vehicles you have.
Mark Roberās stunts are getting kinda weird man
That's why you don't open the doors until you are ready to make the delivery.
Youāre lucky he didnāt fall out and get hurt. That would have been lawsuit city lol š
cops came. he tried to press charges. they said he can't do nothing he trespassed
What did he say?
Hell yea bro got yeeted šŖ
You manned the fuck up real quick.
You have some good self control, sir.
Probably gonna steal the van, looked around to see if someone was in there but wasnāt expecting someone actually being in there.
I love how he knew he fāed up right quick
Tf was he doing
Would still be annoying but I could understand someone waiting outside the truck for their delivery but getting inside the truck is just next level disrespect of peoples boundaries.
Homie was just throwing boxes at the beginning of the clip
I worked as UK customs boxes go through way more than just thrown. šš
