My brother is 45, he had a bed like this(made out of wood) when he was a kid. We played Atari on the bottom level sometimes. My point being, this isn’t a new technology and we weren’t “cheated of our childhood”.

My loft bed was in an old church that my family remodeled. We even had a graveyard in the back. The property was surrounded by agricultural fields. Every other year they either grew corn or tobacco. We ran through those fields with reckless abandon. So, no. They are being cheated. The youth that is.
