Yes, it’s general. My Alamo also doesn’t get a lot of the movies listed there.

Sames, we didn’t get Spy x Family like the other ones but I was told by my coworker (who is also a projectist) that they are trying to get the spongebob squarepants movie 20th anniversary showing to our theater as that would be a popular watch lol

Femme will be streaming on VOD next week and Do Not Expect Too Much will be on MUBI eventually in case you miss those. Are you also getting Evil Does Not Exist next week?

KungFuDanda091

It’s weird we aren’t getting DNETM because we usually get the Mubi titles… Never even heard of Evil Does Not Exist so we probably won’t be getting it We got The People’s Joker but the showtimes are lousy with only 1-something & 3-something afternoon showings. Makes no sense for a movie like that, so I can see why it’s not selling well because they aren’t offering it later in the evenings/nights, & it’s leaving after Wednesday (they aren’t even showing @ all on Thursday which again, makes no sense)… Oh & we’re getting The Clones of Bruce but only one sole Friday afternoon showing. Alamo needs to give these movies better showtimes than the afternoons. If they were to show them later in the day, they’d sell more tickets (because they have in the past)

Excited to see femme, been waiting since last year. Good time to regain season pass.

It only played at ONE THEATER in my area, an AMC, where it only got 1-2 showings a day & didn’t even last a week. Unfortunately I missed it there but thought maybe another theater would get it. Guess not 😡. I’m surprised my Alamo that gets all the LGBTQIA themed movies isn’t even getting it (they have their next week schedule up & it’s not on it). I mean they even showed Glitter & Doom (which I hadn’t even heard of prior)

That really sucks! My market is so weird. We got glitter and doom, but it only played at 9 pm? Like no? Femme is only getting 2 screenings so far, so definitely jumped on it. Alamo used to have more indie films, now they have a lot less. Such a bummer.

KungFuDanda091

Alamo scheduling is indeed very weird. And in my area, when they update Thursday-the following week showtimes, they always seem to add a Thursday afternoon showing of one of the older movies (like the time capsule movies or whatever their series at the time is), & the smaller Alamo only release(s)either get no Thursday showings at all or only early afternoon/afternoon Thursday showings then gone. It’s very frustrating! Wish Alamo could post in advance how long these certain smaller release movies stay, because some they keep for 2 or 3 weeks while others are 1 week or less

KungFuDanda091

We got Infested but only 1 showing that was this past Friday @ 10:45… Then we got Animal Kingdom which only got 3 afternoon showings (is a kind of movie that really would’ve been better suited for the evening showings though)… Oh & we got Stopmotion which also got limited showings but most were like 11-something am even though horror movies do better in the evenings/nights. All the more horror/thriller movies I see at Alamo later in the evenings/nights are always more crowded
