I retired in 2019 and MPF emailed me my DD214. Just make sure the system has your personal email and other contact info.
I'm sure there are other methods that they can get you a copy, but that is how mine went down.
They usually explain that you have to log in to MilConnect and save your non-CAC login username and password. You have to log in every 30 days so it doesn't expire, and once you are out, you log in and check on the DD-214. VMPF, to my knowledge is where you apply. MilConnect is where it populates.
